Hi all,

I am just learning everything while waiting for my Titan and juices to arrive. This video was a great way to summarize about 50 pages of posts about this mod. I read all the way through the posts with my head swirling trying to understand what the instructions were and this was tough for a :-x"noob" that has never even held an e-cig yet. Then around page 50 or so in this thread....whala the vid showed up. So now I finally see the light...at least for the thicker juice!!

If anyone has time it would be great to have the same type of video for the thinner juice with the extra layer. I haven't figured that out yet. 8-o

Thanks to the "inventor" Eclypse and Academy Award independent film maker Video Head for helping me get started on the right path to getting rid of analogues.

No prob! I hope its working good for you. I cant wait to get some more time after the holidays to play with the design more. Might be a while though as i have a couple of computers to fix for my Brother-in-Laws Boss first.. :(

BTW.. it still blows me away how long a single cart will last at 3.7v. Everytime i leave the house now i'm heading out the door loaded with about 5 carts and an extra atty for emergincies in a small pelican case. Just about every freakin time i never have to change the cart.. though i have pulled the cart and slapped in a new one a couple of times, only to find out that the battery was almost dead.. lol.

Hell, i'm on the road driving about 30-40 min drive and spending hours at the mall and here i am coming home with my case fully loaded! lol.

Not sure if this is elsewhere in this 61 page thread, but I just wanted to let everyone know that there are some packs of this stuff that doesn't have the size on the package:

It looks to me like this is older packaging that the pets stores are trying to get rid of before going to the new style. It took me trips to 3 different pet stores to realize this...

Update: Just finished converting all my carts... WOW! Much better vapor and more of a nic kick! I'm gonna have to start ordering lower nic juices...

Hey real quick i just wanted to gove a BIG THANKS to those that voted for my cart mod for Best Innovation of the Year!

2009 Vapy Awards

Had no idea there was any awards giving out nor anything about the vapy awards or even being nominated. lol. Pretty sweet guys.

I got 2nd place behind the obvious High Voltage Mods. I'll take that any day.

Thanks again.. I'm WOWED!

The search is over for 3.7v devices.. but its just begun for HV mods! I'll nail that cart mod as i dont enjoy dripping at all.

I found a red coffee stir straws, seems to be the PERFECT diameter. I cut the bottom of the straw at a slight angle to allow liquid to flow and not create air pockets. Fold my Blue Foam and vape away. When chain vapping it may not wick quick enough, no problem, give it 2-3 "Thermometer shakes" to force the liquid to flow though the blue foam.

Im new around here and Im trying different cart mods. The shotgun slug looks promising. Just wondering do you have to take the blue foam out when refilling or do you leave it in?

All of them you have to take the plug out. If your going to try that you might as well try the normal slug at the same time as its just the slug with the straw below.

Let me know how it works out for ya.

Today i received a 510 HV atty from Nhaler along with my 12 30ML bottles of HV Nahler juice. I also got a carto adapter to play around with some cartos i got from a friend online.

ATM i'm now trying out a cart with HV.. normally people would advise to drip only with a high voltage device - 5/6 volts. I have been dripping with my Xhaler for the past few weeks and using carts loaded with the Slug on the go with my Protege.

So i'm gona go back and now try the HV slug (flipped over slug) at 6 volts with the HV atty that in basic terms runs cooler at 10 watts.

If it burns the blue foam i'll report back.. though the purpose of the HV slug is to flip it over so there no foam close to the coil like with the slug. So it should'nt burn but.. i've had difficulties getting it to wick all the time with HV. So we'll play with it and see whats up.

Found out that the HV 510 Attys sold at nhaler are runing at 6-7 watts using 6 volts. There ment to be used for devices runing 2 3.7v batteries at 7.4 volts. Then they will run around 10 watts which is said to be the sweet spot like ruing a normal 510 atty at a true 5 volts under load. using the HV atty will prolong battery life and keep the atty cooler to help prevent the burnt taste and pevent atty burnout.

Just emptied the first cart with HV pralines and cream using the HV slug. No problems to note.. carts empty and i had to blow the vapor out of the bottom of the cart heh. I like that. No burnt foam! made sure as i patted it dry and held a flash light to it.. No discoloration whats so ever and no burnt taste.

Now i'm gona try some thicker VG juice as i've noticed the HV Drewbacco is much thicker then the other VG juices from Nhaler.

EDIT: MASSIVE CLOUDS OF VAPOR! I think i'm breaking in this new HV atty heh.

Took a walk outside in the freezing cold while vaping the HV Slug in the HV 510 atty with the "thick" drewbacco. This should really thickin up the juice as VG in the cold will. Didnt bother this setup one bit. I didnt feel the need to snap the wrist downward to help move the juice as it was flowing no probs. I've been vaping on the same cart for the past 15 mins in the house since and it just gets better and better as i seem to be breakin in the new HV atty.

So far.. just as i hoped! HV atty = no more need to drip with the blue foam HV Slug. No burnt taste no dead atty (crossing fingers! ;) ) Full falvor like you'd expect with HV and massive clouds of vapor. Its deffinitly runing higher then a 3.7v device and less then a HV device at 6 volts. So its dead in the middle where i'd like it. Now i just gota order up some of those small 3.7v batteries to really give it a go!

Now to just gather the guts to try the HV slug at HV with a normal 510 atty..

Wish to have an easier way to make those plugs? Try a hollow leather punch. Like one of these.

image01.jpg

They come in all kinds of sizes. They'll easily cut that blue foam or the green scrubby stuff. Just make sure that when you punch out the little plugs you have something like a good thick piece of plastic that you punch the out on so you do not mess up your kitchen counter.

Might have found the answer that everyone has been looking for as the "perfect plug". :p It is silicon based and have been using it for 2 days now in my 510. It is very similar to the method used where you cut the silicon cap that covers the cart..but I think mine is better. It is heavier duty and can fit the 510 and 801(entechangable). The way mine works actually forms to the addy bars shape as well so no need to make a mold or do any weird thing with messy silicon pasty stuff and letting it dry.

So far it has worked flawlessly and doesn't flood the addy or leak. I can hold it verticle, horizontal...shake it really hard and nothing. Like I said, no leaking and no addy floody at all. Perfect every pull and the vape taste is astonding. I am waiting for my Protege' to test it on it before devulging the secret. If this works I will let you all know how to make them. It is really quite easy to make as well. You'll love my simple solution.

Sounds like you need to make your own thread as your info posted here in my thread will just be barried and lost in a short time.
