I've got a guess... Silicone tape?
So here it is, my vision of a new cart design for an e-cig.
I didnt say it would catch fire. I said it becomes toxic if it does. I would assume it is toxic if it melts as that would produce fumes. I use a silicone plug and it doesnt touch the atty just the bridge. It works because the silicone is pushed up by the bridge which allows the fluid to run down it into the atty keeping it moist using the wick. Same would apply to the blue foam. If you follow Eclipses' procedure it wont touch the atty and you should be fine. Eclipse has very detailed pics of just how far the bridge is inserted into the cart. If you have filler touching your atty it is going to burn and u will have a burnt taste.
Has anyone tried this for the Smoking Everywhere Gold unit?
BTW.. not trying to start anything but just wanted to let you know that the brass/SS screen mod has been done before and so has the metal spring (which no one will want to use as its metal).
BAH! Just needs to be the RIGHT metal.
Which model are you talking about as i've seen there stand at the mall and they carry a few different models and even a 510 model.
metal screens are safer - way safer! But my currently plug I a musing with the straw trick is not metal mesh - it is silicon based. I ahve been using for 3 days in my 501's and my 801's and it does work, but I can see that something is happening to it after being in constact with the heat from the atty. It is changing it and I do not think this plug will be a permanent solution. That is why I wish to try it in my Protege' to see how it works in it. I do some serious vaping at times and I really hate to have to muck around with carts and all that stuff. I like the ZFM design and think it could work, just have to find the right material that is safe.
The SE Gold cart is a bit small...okay a lot small...I don't think this would help too much with that cart.
Smoking Everywhere only carries one model out right now, and if the vendor at the mall had other models, they weren't Smoking Everywhere and he was carrying them himself.
If the cart was designed right in the first place you'd get good vap off of the standard 3.7v. I think the reason why people go to the higher voltage is because it can create massive amounts of vape and uses standard rechargable batteries that you can buy from the store.
The issue is consistent liquid flow from the cart without flooding the atty. A metal screen with the correct micro mesh would be ideal for this. It could last a super longtime and metal mesh can be gotten that is very fine and very durable made with all kinds of very corrasive resistant materials. Plus those metals will not produce any harmful vapors to the vaping process when you heat them to the temps we are heating them. The poly fibers and siliocn plugs might be though.![]()
? Everyone barked about it so tell them that.. there was even a guy that said the Galvanized metal would'nt be safe either.
