... What do y’all think?

I think you should Wring Every Neurons Worth of Knowledge about vaping out of the Aunt's Brain. I'm Talk'n Everything.

LOL

UPDATE:

I smoked 4 today. My aunt is coming tomorrow from Louisiana and bringing all of her vape stuff, mods and juice. She quit smoking in August with vaping so I’m thinking maybe this could be it! She will be here until Sunday, that’s a good 5 days if I can manage to just vape with her and not smoke. I have about 12 in a pack...

Throw them out? Save them for emergency?? This is my dilemma. What do y’all think?

Just checking in, it looks like you are making very good progress! It should be fun having your aunt around, you might find something in her stash that you like. Keep up the good work!

The internal struggle is real. And you’re probably right!

A vaping aunt bringing a load of gear and juice sounds like a fantastic opportunity -- enjoy!

If you do decide to keep them, stick them in the attic, or a dark scary corner of the basement ... someplace with spiders and maybe a ouija board or something. ;)

I think you should toss the cigarettes, and take advantage of this opportunity over the next few days. There are an infinite number of them available to you, no use in keeping them if you don't want to smoke them. Give it a go, and if you end up 'having' to go buy a new pack, that's part of the learning. Any barrier between the urge and the action is useful. Just my two cents; you'll get there. It was easy for me to quit, after 40+ years of smoking, but I was lucky. The first week was the only struggle; I always told myself that "if I still want a cigarette in fifteen minutes, I can have one. In the meantime, I'll vape." More times than not, I skipped the smoking. After a couple of days I decided that was silly and quit with the cigs. That was almost five years ago.

I could put them in the chicken coop and let them sleep on them for a few days. I doubt I’d want to touch them then...

I really think after 5 days I wouldn’t go back. I mean I would hope I wouldn’t.

The internal struggle is real. And you’re probably right!

You have to Embrace the Struggle. Wrap Yourself Around it and Laugh Right in Its Face. Take 5 Minutes and Punch the Hell Out of a Sofa Cushion.

Then walk into the Bathroom and look in the Mirror and in a Loud, Clear Voice, say... "I'm Sick of Smoking. And I'm Sick of what Smoking Does to People!"

Trust Me, You are going to Get There. And having Just 4 is Fantastic.

Might work, but what kind of trigger would it be tomorrow when you see the chickens leaning against the fence smoking, feathers rolled up to the shoulder with your pack tucked in there ... better to go with the spiders and ouija board ... better still, take @zoiDman's advice and remember, help is on the way :thumb:

I'm with @zoiDman...keep them. IMO, you can then make the conscious decision not to smoke them when you're ready to do that, even though they're available. It would sort of prevent any panic about not having any, and the seemingly "urgent need" to go get some.

My older brother kept open packs of Winstons on his bedroom nightstand, in his car, on his fireplace mantle, and several other places....when he quit smoking "cold turkey" after more than 48 years of a 2 pack a day habit. He said it worked for him because he could make the decision to not have 1, even though they were right there. Said it prevented any "gotta run to the store" anxious thoughts when a craving hit. He always decided not to have one, and those packs stayed right where they were for at least a year afterwards. Then he tossed them.

Tell her your dilemma, and ask her to keep them for you. If you really need one, she can get it... or both of you can vape yourselves silly till the urge passes. When I quit with patches, I had a partner. We would call each other up when the jones hit, and talk each other out of it. It worked. I found the craving quit after about 15 minutes.

By the way...small victory for you today. Down from 5 to 4. Thats a 20% decrease. WTG !!!

These are two out of our 14 chickens and I think they’re definitely bound to be smokers.
