No problem. Jens allready answer me. This rope we use in owen ... mostly ... and I think I can find them in some local store. I just don't want to buy something unhealthy because we all inhale that stuff.

I would be slightly worried that "High Temperature" means it has been treated with something. I remember reading on the forums about people using silica and that they had bad flavour/taste from it. Hopefully someone will pop in who still has some and do a burn test on it for us. I have also noticed that if you do a bite test (lol) - just bite the wick, it should be crunchy.
Second day with A2.
I'm was not satisfied as a first day or I was doing something wrong but when I spend liquid on glasfibre I must put more drops even on foam has liquid. It seems to rope don't touch foam in cartridge. So, i put out the foam, split in half and put some rope in the middle to 1cm stick out. Then rope imbibe liquid and touch kanthal and rope. Now, is everything just fine.

I have this bookmarked just incase someone finds wick similar to the A2 that I can buy in the states and is kind enough to post it 
Has anyone tried e-glass? Exhaust wadding.
Other than that I am not sure what else to try. I know there is something called S-Glass also but I cannot find a seller for that stuff. S-Glass has a higher melting point than E-Glass.

Thanks for this thread! I was waiting to get a MAP tank, and have tried the clearomizers. I like the miser idea, but can't drip all the time. I have sent a request for the dimensions on this A2 unit. I think it will fit my SP2 nicely and I really like that it comes with an 801 connection. I am not fond of the extra length and instability that adapters add.

Yah it should look pretty nice on a SP2. Forgot that that tube mod had a native 801 threading
hi ben! I love the simplicity of the SP2, but I really don't like the choices for changing the ohms or getting a 510 TH on it. Too long, and the adapter is really the weakest point. l am a little mechanically inclined, but not enough to tear apart an atty and rebuid it. I love the idea of this mod.

Pure PG could self ignite if heated sufficiently (beyond its flashpoint). May be something like that. Probably relies on sufficient air being available as well.
EDIT auto ignition temperature of PG is apparently 371 degrees celsius. That's pretty hot. Haven't looked for glycerine or anything else.
I've seen a vid of flames like that popping out of an eGo XL atty as well..

Wouldn't suprise me if that was with 6V and straght PG. Only the video poster knows for sure. I believe some one did the same thing with the ato-miser, but again HV.
He used three wraps of wire...too short as the shorter the wire the hotter it gets, I believe the original video how-to used 5 or six wraps with specific diameter (he used a nail).
Put in my order along with extra wire and wick. And now the wait begins..........
Only time my coil goes red like that is when the wick is bone dry. Although I have been unable to get the wick supplied by Cetin to even flame up during the burn tests, it just goes red and then goes out. So yeah, not sure what is happening there. Perhaps the earlier A1s were supplied with a different wicking material, I find it hard to believe the coil would go so red like that if it was coated in juice.
I am still waiting for some stuff to arrive by post, so I won't have anything new to post until then. Although some Joye RY4 arrived today and this stuff is absolutely gorgeous on the A2, although I would be surprised if it wasn't the tastiest juice around on just about anything.
Crazy really that it works out about the same or cheaper here in the UK for the Joye juice compared to the Dekang resellers (36mg). If anyone knows where I can get bulk Joye juice from I would appreciate a message!

If your looking for something to try then I can only recommend maybe S-Glass and Basalt Fiber. Those are the only two things I couldn't source so never tried. Things I have tried, E-Glass, Stove Rope; Ceramic Fiber, Glass Fiber, Twaron, Kevlar, Kaowool. It isn't Animal/Vegetable or Synthetic, I doubt it is Cellulose based either. It is mineral based, so some sort of glass, metal or stone. Something else I have heard about but never tried was steel fiber.
