I'd really be interested to know what the big juice companies are doing at this point to try to save their industry? Or are they sitting back and watching...trying to decide the right moment to bail?

Got a call to arms email from Vapor Authority just now. Right after their 35% off juice sale email. That's the only action I've seen from the vape industry so far. Industry lobbying seems to be rather limited, at least what's been done in public. I'm sure they are doing what they can but it's a little late.

'Doing me a favor': Vapers open to Trump's proposed ban on flavored e-cigarettes - Reuters

He would be doing me a favor,” said Antoinette Quiles, a 31-year-old carpenter, as she inhaled from her Juul outside a New York subway stop. “Hopefully, if it’s not available, I won’t buy it. I’ve tried to stop and put it away, but it’s available.”

In interviews with a dozen New Yorkers who said they regularly vaped, no one expressed dismay that the government might crack down on the widely preferred flavored pods.

“It’s fine if they think that’s going to be a deterrent for young kids that aren’t of age to buy them,” said Nick Agosti, a 31-year-old assistant community school director, adding he would miss the flavors. “It’s something that needs to be addressed.”

I don’t think it’s the flavors that are the reason why people are dying, it’s the e-cigarettes themselves,” said Bush George, a 44-year-old stylist who said he vapes in addition to smoking cigarettes.

“If they’re still online, then I’ll find a way to purchase it. There’s ways to do a lot of things, get your hands on anything if you know how to do it correctly,” said Stephen Figueroa, 25, as he took a hit from his vape against his better judgment.

None of these people are real. They are made up quotes from the "pay for flotsam and jetsam" opinion "folks" that and/or paid actors with dead people's social security numbers.

I'm sorry. They aren't real. This reads like the onion. It's just all a BIT too convenient. I know of NO HARD CORE EX SMOKERS WHO NOW VAPE WHO FEEL THIS WAY. ZERO.

I say we pool our funds and buy a dirty bomb, but that's just me, and I'm not in a good mood at the moment.

But if you want to be taken seriously by the government in this day and age, I'm sorry, it appears that if you can't buy mass lobbying and power, you like, need guerilla tactics.

I'm not advocating using it, but I am most certainly advocating some real vapers POSESSING one and a demanding a seat at the table.

Maybe a dirty flavor bomb like Shirley Temple mixed with a really good fuzzy lemon sherbet with a hint of turnip and after notes of menthol.

Sorry. It's how I cope.

Why is it in every one of these threads people can't help but bash our President? I guess all the hatred is Trump's fault .right? I am so sick of the whining. Can't we have a conversation about what's happening without the name calling?? Jeez..... Take it OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trump said what he said, and I guess he can issue an Executive Order on it if he likes .. thus, POTUS is a big part of the discussion .. how could it be any other way .. ??

Well Willie I know there are people here who don't like Trump. I don't like some of the things he has done either but how does name calling advance the debate? For the most part I have to applaud the majority of the people in these threads for keeping things civil.
We are all American's and share the same fate.

Myself, being (mostly) a Libertarian / Independent, as well as ex-military, I try and refrain from direct frontal assaults on about anything .. :) .. so, all I know is POTUS said what he said and ignited the myriad of discussions now Threading their way thru ECF .. and, there will always be Haters ..

I'm a registered Republican, but I'm actually an independent voter. I've voted both Republican and Democrat over the years.

I agree with many of Trump's policies, and disagree with others. During his campain Trump promised to deregulate many business policies to help small businesses to compete, and he did sign several deregulation executive orders. I had high hopes that this would carry over to the vaping industry.

However, this flavor ban on vaping hits me to my very soul. No way will I vote for him if he enacts a flavor ban. This action may well cost his re-election.

Banning flavored e-cigarettes might cost Trump reelection

Everyone, everyone has a right to their opinion as long as it doesn't infringe on others and it's within the law. If they want to bash the President they have an absolute right to do so, it's called Freedom of Speech, President Trump would be the first to agree. Just as you have a right to your opinion.

My personal opinion is there is too much hatred in this World already. I would never speak ill of my President (in public or to him) poke a bit of fun at yes, that's our right. He is whether we like it or not our President at least until next year.

When he's actually got more chance of taking a wizz in the Queens handbag, than of me voting for him.

Peace

I still believe it is mostly because he has been given bad information and that if we were able to get in his face, such as on Twitter, which he does himself, and would see, he might re-think what he did. The recent hospitalizations have been conflated with nicotine e-liquid, how very many lives have been saved from the latter and that it is harm reduction from smoking cigarettes and not intended for people who have never smoked, and he needs to know that vapers vote. Maybe I am being naive, but this is what I think.

I don't see it. I mean, he could certainly lose, but not over vaping. The split in this country is cultural. If a Republican candidate could win while supporting tariffs, eminent domain and ballooning deficits, do you really think vaping is the deal breaker?

It could be and we should let him know that it's about the best we can do
