Ok, the segment just aired, there *shouldn't* be a general strike just yet, but they are still planning on striking in rotation from town to town, at different times! It's still not 100% official though! keep them fingers crossed!
Edit: Forgot to mention, if they do start the strike tonite at 23:59, it will hit Winnipeg Manitoba first, and the current offer from Canada Post would be off the table

I'm currently watching the French news network, and frantically refreshing my Gmail to receive the canada post updates every 2 minutes, and I'm also spam refreshing my News website like a maniac !!!

Well, 10:42PM GMT-5, they just announced a 24h strike in Winnipeg, and the Canada Post offer is off the table , they announced a press conference for 9 Am Friday morning (June 3rd)

Sad thing for me, is that I'm out of KR808 carto's , i received my juice order from my Canadian supplier in time but they don't sell any KR808 supplies, but i had ordered a bunch of 510 carto's for my prodigy V3.... so in about 5-6 days when this carto dies if i havent received any of my packages to build my mod or my prodigy ... I'll be screwed over with a KR808 batt and some 510 carto's lol!

Well, I got lucky by getting one order in - and it had the spare batteries,carts and some juice. My order from GreenhouseOne, though, is between here and China, and it's the 31 flavor sampler, which I was kinda looking forward to...
damn!!! I order from China and always through the mail....can anyone tell me the best altertative to Canada Post, in terms of cost AND the likelihood of the shipment getting rifled through and being sent back to my supplier (and at who's cost)?! what a hassle....
Wow, so I live in a small town in Saskatchewan with like 400 people..very small town. I get a call today from the bar, I am a non drinker..and of course they called first thing this morning while I slept so I was a bit groggy not really understanding what that was about. But I finally realized, they called because they told me my package was there from Happy Jack!!! Seems like they are taking the packages there and giving them out to the people!! Yay I got my package!!
I had ordered a bunch of stuff from Jack including a usb wall charger in hopes it will get my passthrough working. Well I feel like an idiot because I found my usb wall charger 2 days ago sitting on top of my stereo. It has been sitting there the whole time right in front of me in plain view no less. So my passthrough has been working no problems! Jack even sent me a free battery too to try, so looks like I will just have this spare now. I seriously feel like a dork! But it is nice that my order came anyways from Jack to the bar here. Seems like they are putting things into place so we will indeed get our packages today! Woot!!!
I would also appreciate any updates too throughout the day. I will be gone till this evening, as I have to take my great dane for her leg surgery, then head over to my sphynx breeder's house then to the airport to pick up my brand new baby bengal! So I won't find out anything till after supper tonight. Here is hoping they have reached a decision today!!!!!

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has publicly stated its intention to strike in Hamilton for 48 hours starting at midnight tonight.
Strike activity can change the status of a facility at any time. Canada Post is making every effort to update customers promptly.

Whew, I got all my packages in today. I could care less now if canada post strikes all summer. I am fully stocked for a long time now and will probably use UPS or fedex if I ever need to order anything again.
I ordered a lot myself. if you order within canada, you can use a courier service or even greyhound. greyhound is fast and fairly inexpensive.
Ok so my package that was left at the bar in Aberdeen was a fedex parcel! I didn't even go down to the post office today either cuz I figured it was on strike, and happy vapor's package is waiting for me there. Lord, now I have to wait till monday, and if we are on strike, who knows when it will get here. LMAO! Dumb move on my part!
So if there is a stike over the weekend in Hamilton what's the difference? Better to have an eclipse at nighttime I suppose.
They said on the news that it's a rotating strike... Not sure if that means we'll be able to periodically be able to grab our mail or not, but that's the impression I got.
