BFT, rbonie! Glad you're liking it! When or if, whatever, I ever get mine back, I'm going to try the squeeze and twist tip K-D mentioned. Drip til ya drop is also a good place to start.

And, IMO, it's the carlos atty that's really the star of the show. Being the first 3rd gen mod, everyone's excited about the juicing action. I can't really say I blame them, 3rd gens rock the house when it comes to vaping simplicity (if they don't break) and especially taste!

But there are a lot of really talented people out there, quietly working in their basements and garages, snipping at carlos' heels. A couple of them have really impressed the crap out of me with their mods; one in particular has an extremely competent and durable one that has stood up to my chain vaping now for a few weeks (unlike the CJB). Though I'd like to say I've gained a little patience and maturity, this is probably the reason I haven't emailed carlos/janice everyday asking about the status of my repair. And these other designs are quietly improving.

And the reason why I'm not going to quietly stick my CJB on the classifieds when I get it back is the carlos atty. The vape and especially the taste on it is unparalleled; no stock atty actually makes me cut down the nic on it like the CJB. It is enough of a payoff for me to endure the time and patience commitment to master it's large learning curve. It's that frakkin' good.

Hopefully, I'll have something more substantial to post, as in real life experience with my unit, in a week or so. <crosses fingers>

Exactly Clyde.
I do miss the flavor & Vapor from it.
I woke up early hopefully early enough to hope its in my mailbox today.
Plus I have to drop some stuff off to a customer of mine.
Then tear down my laptop & Rebuild it. (Probably Make a bench unit out of the old board.)

I'm sure we will get it shortly Clyde

Considering it was originally mailed on Monday, and I received it on Saturday, this one should hopefully come on Monday since it was mailed on Tuesday.

Do NOT super glue a piece of metal tubing in the mouthpiece hose!!! Thot I had killed my JB!!!
Do Not add everclear to your juice.Makes it to thin.
Think VG might work better. Thicker maybe
Battery spring set up is real lame. Found a bat box on Ebay but they want $10.00 to ship a pack of 5 they sell for $2.00 !!AND it's comming from HongKong so no tellin when you would get it.
Still flooding this thing bad. Dripping is great though. Tryin a lot of my junk juice for the first time it seems. They never tatsed this good before. Thing IS goin through ALOT of juice. Probably a pebcak error tho.

(pebcak.. ie: Problem Exist Between Chair Back And Keyboard)
Ask Kuya about it.

Finally broke in my jb and totally loving it....but now it has developed the light/atty turn off after after depressing the button for one second :(

I have emailed the juicebox address and Janice (found out she can no longer handle Carlos's emails due to her incredible demanding schedule). Does anyone know how long does it take to get approval/instructions/return address from Carlos. I miss it already.

Without a side panel. Carlos seems to think I didn't send him one, I vaguely remember that I did. With a little kind persuasion, he's sending me 'another' one.

(And if it turns out that I didn't send him the original, I'll mail it back to him and publicly admit that I'm a horse's-....) It's not a huge deal either way, the components seem to stay in place well without the lid.

Instead of a tight draw, rich thick vape and frequent flooding, it has a light airy draw, light vape and occasional flooding. Taste is affected a bit, though it's still more intense than anything else I've tried.

If I turn it on its side (with the mouthpiece facing up) and take a deep, long drag it puts out adequate vapor. For me, 3rd gens are all about the taste, and the revamped CJB does not disappoint. Like before the repair/revision, the box seems to prefer straight VG over PG...my incredibly thick syrupy coconut VG is being put to good use. I'm thinking the vape may improve as I continue to use it and break it in.

And unlike at least one other fellow I know, I prefer this version over it's pre-repair iteration so far. The learning curve has been flattened dramatically-no more having to squeeze the bottle while putting it on or having to 'drip til you drop' when you first get it. Even the decreased vape from the vertical position may turn out to be a unexpected bonus feature-stealth vaping. I can still get the TH and the taste, and avoid some confused or hostile stares in non smoking areas.

One thing's for sure..if it continues to perform like it has in the past few days you WON'T see it in the classifieds.

I'm sorry this is too much it's funny that after you waiting sooooooooooo long for the juicebox you get it and it breaks

you send it back then wait....................................

then he sends it back without a cover/lid?

come on even if you forgot to send it he should have put one on just in case you did and he misplaced it

then you have to convince him to send another LOLlol

He has some horrible business ethics

Be honest you want to put it in the classifieds and wash your hands of this So called MOD

Hope mine comes back as good as yours did. He got mine on the 28th. How long did it take on yours?

Mine took 2-3 weeks give or take. And the vape on mine is improving. The learning curve is also drastically diminished. I don't even have to 'drip til I drop' now. I just have to turn it on it's side and pipe it, and I'm okay with that.

Lost an 801 tip yesterday when I took it out of town for my Dad's funeral; I'll have to be mindful of that.

And really, honestly, truly, I don't want to sell it.

Harsh, man, really harsh. There's a difference between not agreeing with someone's actions or decisions, and screaming at them in front of a crowd for it.

1. People like or don't like PVs for all sort of valid and irrational reasons, which can be very subjective or downright irrational. That's why we have a classifieds section.

2. Despite the quality control and teething problems, the pent up demand for the CJB shows that it's underpriced IMHO. If the double priced CJB's with no demand came on the classifieds before my anticipated wait period was up, I probably would have bought one myself. If carlos sold stock, plain CJB's on his site for no waiting, they would probably sell.

3. Let's not demonize profit, shall we? I play with mods and write about it because it's my passion. I don't want to make this another job, but I can only do that because I make my mortgage payment elsewhere. I don't begrudge anyone the right to place a value upon their time and efforts.
