Just tried cellucotton for the first time today courtesy of a member who was nice enough to send some all the way from New York to Hawaii. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. The flavor comes out very clean and there doesn't seem to be a break in period. Following the suggestions of others, I pulled as much as I could through the coil without distorting it, and the juice still wicks perfectly. It's really absorbent and holds much more juice compared to cotton and you can use more of it without choking the coils. All in all this stuff is awesome. I love my organic cotton, but cellucotton takes the cake.

I can't seem to get past the texture lol makes my teeth itch like nails on a chalkboard everytime I take a hit I'm sure its all in my head, I'm going to try and boil/rinse/boil it and see if that helps I also got myne from a generous ecf member who also sent me some koh gen do, and sheishedo which both I like extremly well compared to regular organic cotton.

I have a friend with the same issue. He wants to start vaping but I can't get hit to wick a coil with cotton or cellulose.mand for some strange reason my OCD kicks in.

But I love cellulose cotton, been using it for a few weeks now and love it.

Anybody had some intolerance to cotton?
I was vaping with organic cotton and loving it for almost a year, but these past few months I started getting a swelling feeling in my throat. So I went back to silica and after a few days, it's gone.
I am looking for a replacement that won't give me this problem. I'm really interested by that cellucotton.
I would appreciate any toughts or experience on this. I REALLY miss my cotton! :(

Thanks!

When you have a few hours.. read through this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ck-better-flow-flavor-saturation-nic-hit.html

Cellulose is semi-organic, but not made from cotton, it only resembles cotton (hence the name).

I believe Cellulosecotton would help you, but educate yourself and make a decision. Also, are you sure it's not a acute PG allergy?

For me the only advantage of rayon (which is a big one) is that it doesn't gunk the coils and stays cleaner longer then cotton. As for flavor, not difference to a good cotton build. Been using rayon in some of my builds for a few weeks and definitely notice how clean the wicks and coils look compared to cotton but flavor? No real difference imo in my bottom coil tanks. Still haven't tried the rayon in a dripper because I don't drip that much, but maybe this is where the incredible difference in flavor is compared to cotton.

LOL, as you said, hours... I will, thanks.
I will try to get a sample of cellucotton. I've been thinking about trying hemp wick as well. In the mean time I will now get back to cotton and see if the throat swelling comes back. I've been using the same juice for over 1.5 year so this will tell me if it's really the cotton that's doing this.
As for PG, I can test that too since I'm already experimenting with juice making and flavors.

Thanks!

Good stuff. Coils even stay cleaner and wicks last longer.

That's true, they last a great deal longer. But they're not immortal; in the last few days, sometimes I noted a slightly "burnt" taste on some hits, so I finally broke it all down (one of my kayfuns) and had a look. It didn't look burned at all, but the taste had been slightly off since Sunday. I think the wick was about 2-3 wks old. It might have been because I had been using my nano kit; using cotton, I never could get *anything* but a burnt taste with my nano kit, so at least I can use the nano now, with rayon. To avert any repeats, when I got it all put back together, I used one of my M-tanks instead of the nano kit, so I should be able to get a much better idea of how long the wick lasts before starting to taste off.

I've got a whole bag of organic cotton balls left, but I may end up using them for their *intended* purpose rather than as wick material, since discovering the marvel that is rayon.

I also just got some, amazing boost in flavor compared to cotton, although it only last for a day, then the flavor drops off to less then cotton. And I found you can't dry it out like cotton it's got to stay moist or you get a flavor. I vape mostly around .5ohm coils

CC works best with a clean coil... once my coil begins to get "carbonized" I notice a big difference in flavor, seems to become dry less vibrant. Also have noticed a bit of darkening where the coil is in contact with the CC. I pull the wick and do a dry burn, dust off the coil and replace wick and flavor is back. I even used an old wick but put it back in at a cleaner spot and flavor was good again...
