When I'm home and not doing anything, I"ll easily chain vape the entire day/night. When I'm out I tend to not smoke as much. I feel its one part nicotine dependency and one part, just something to do for me. Also when I'm out I'm doing stuff, I'm not being idle with nothing in my hands, so I feel that occupies me enough not to chain vape as much as at home.

I've been chain vaping pretty much since I quit analogs last Christmas. 18 mg at first and sometimes I could tell I was taking in too much nicotine so I backed it down to 12 mg within a few months. That was a big drop off but I haven't felt sick at all from vaping since then. When I'm actually doing something can even go a few hours without picking up the APV pretty much like forgetting to vape, but when playing "couch-tater" or driving it's non-stop.

My provari and my Lambo 4 are my daily companions for 7 months now (I like to vape two flavors at a time). I have cut down the nic from 24mg to 6mg so I'm not worried about od'ing on it. If you start putting pressure on yourself as to what is an "appropriate" amount of vaping you're setting yourself up for failure.

I have found that I can go more than 2 hours without vaping now without having a panic attack. I'm just getting over a cold and for two days didn't vape at all. I remember when I used to get sick, I would smoke those cigarettes even though they wouldn't taste good and would bring on the cough attacks. I find with ecigs I am more in control of my urges than when I smoked.

I've tested vaping 0mg nic and haven't had any withdrawals. I think we've been so brain washed by the "powers that be" that we think nicotine is the culprit instead of the other 4,000 plus chemicals in cigarettes that do cause the real addiction. After all you would not turn into a fiend from h**l if you couldn't have your cup of coffee would you? Yes, you'd miss it, but you wouldn't go out in a storm to get your coffee as we all did when we ran out of cigarettes. It's like we have convinced ourselves that we are so dependent on nicotine that if we run out of juice, we HAVE to go out and buy a pack of smokes. Try vaping flavorless no nic juice and you might be pleasantly surprised that you won't have the urge to go "postal" any time soon, LOL.

my name is anavidfan and Im a vaping addict........ I am a heavy vapor and I used to be a light smoker. I started out with 18mg and found myself over nic-ing. So I started ordering lower nic juice and I also use plain 50/50 6mg nic juice for in between to help with the cost of ejuice. I enjoy it, maybe too much. Just watch what your body tells you. If you feel nauseous or get heart palpitations its time to put your vaporizer down, drink some water and relax. Then order some lower nic juice:)

I chain vape .... but for me I think it's how good the juice "tastes" ... I have been vaping 18mg for 2 years but will be moving down to 12mg in the next couple of weeks. I just got my boyfriend off of analogs as he needs to quit (has a terminal illness that smoking exacerbates .... blood clots etc) and he wants to get off of nicotine all together so I am going to support him in this. This weekend we're going to the vape store to try out some 0 nic flavors and maybe pick up a couple @ 12mg to taper off.

I do notice though that when I am chain vaping I do sometimes feel sick so I stop and take a break. I currently have 3 flavors I am circulating, Dragon's Tear, Watermelon and Vanilla ... all very yummy. Reading through this thread has helped me pin point some stuff that I have been feeling in my body lately so I think giving it a break sometimes is a good idea.

I think it should be worded carefully on how safe, exactly, vaping is with the use of nicotine. Undoubtedly, there are studies in the works as to how safe the use of nicotine through these products is. But, something to maintain, nicotine is in no way completely safe for the body.

The key term, until proven otherwise, should always be harm-reduction. Not elimination.

Per the OP's issue. As many of said, your need to consistently feed upon your pv is an expected result in the transition from smoking cigarettes to vaping. To say that it's completely safe to do so, meh, I wouldn't go as far to say that. However, I would definitely wager to say that it sure is a hell of a lot safer than smoking, without a doubt.

When I first started vaping, I used a super potent menthol, at 24mg. It was so strong, that even when I tried to chain vape, it made me set the ego down every now and again, hehe. Once again, to reiterate as others have been saying, stick with it, you'll find your niche. Best of luck to you, I wish you well and good health.

If chain vaping is bad man am I screwed.... Ah heck I was before anyway..so vape on my fellow vapeheads

What I don't get though is they smoked cigs with god knows what in it and now we have a alternative that we know exactly what's in it and everyone wants to be all healthy all of a sudden while they scarf down the cheeseburgers

..........:)..........

For more than THREE YEARS my wife and I have been "chain vapers" on 24mg juice since we began with our first e-cigs. I always use a tobacco blend and she always uses a mint/menthol blend. Never been a problem.
(Sorry about the caps but it just felt good to point out how long we've been vapers.)

I did the same thing you did when I just started. I was on 18MG. I've slowly worked down to 6-8MG so I don't feel guilty doing it. Nicotine isn't the greatest for you. It's just about as good or bad for you as caffeine from what I've read so I figured I wouldn't do that with caffeine so why do it with vaping? I enjoy the physical aspect of the vaping more so than the nicotine hits now.

Do you notice any change in flavor with different nic levels?

Not that I noticed.

It only gets bad if you don't keep yourself hydrated...

Oh yeah, I managed to cut out carbonated beverages completely, and now I drink those little sugar free drink packets all day, almost a gallon a day! Though discovering I was diabetic a month after I quit smoking was a major catalyst... LOL

With the majority of my liquids I honestly noticed MORE taste. The throat hit has gone down considerably as one would expect but with most flavors I've noticed far more flavor. That's just my experience. I tend to vape liquids that mostly VG 70% or higher on LR carto/atty on 3.7v

As long as you slowly step down the level of mg's your vaping then doing it all day is fine. The higher the level of nicotine, the more of a throat hit you will get but you can adjust your level of pg/vg as you go down in nicotine to find a good balance/throat hit that you like. The more pg the better throat hit you will get which helps wean yourself off a higher mg of nicotine. Good Luck!

I have always used 100% PG. What does VG do?
