It is the sound of the waterfall, but after I panned left, it sounded like buzzing bees to me. Nope, no caves. Just undercut areas in the limestone. No beaver dam either. Beavers would be in trouble there. When there is flooding, the water in the Lower Falls can get so high that the falls disappear! My daughter has seen it so high that it nearly reaches the top of the cliffs.
It's often a sleepy thread. Peaceful people enjoy being around people of a like mind. I know I do.
I am working on getting some sound on my computer. Looking forward to it, and listening to the waterfall and UW's disk-jockey work over at Old Folks. I got new hearing aids yesterday, and my audiologist told me I have to work to get more audio input into my life.
They're the Florida State bird here. Lately we've been getting hybrids. They've started cross breeding with turkeys.

So glad you're back in here Rave, and wow, nice pictures and video! We have TONS of mosquitoes this year. We haven't been seeing as many bats, we've been warned that there is a fungal disease really hitting them hard. Poor little guys, white-nosed syndrome is what it's called, I think it is infecting a lot of the eastern states.
Lizzie, as always, I'm impressed by the amount of work/projects you take on and complete. I have decided I'm a lazy bum compared to you. I've been working on the vine arch, but still have to brave the skeeters, biting flies and thorny stuff in the woods a few more times for more pieces. It's coming along pretty good, I keep changing things around as I go, so I hope it will be picture worthy when it's finished.
We are just nice people in here, like attracts like. (I hope you guys think I'm nice, lol!) We have manners and don't take any kind of bait, so to speak. I think we also enjoy a sort of secluded area of the forum because of the 808/cigalike factor of SI. Works for me! I recall a few incidents, but nothing like what happens elsewhere.
Still sending thoughts and prayer to Evie, and to the whole house hunting situation for Terry. I do believe everyone in here is on my list, once you go on, you can NEVER LEAVE! bahahahaha!

I don't know it just seems the folks here are more mello and laid back than in many other threads. That, combined with the fact that there is no owner just a bunch of regulars with many other who drop in and out make it a nice place. Not everyone here still uses cig-a-likes, but I do suspect that most of us either started that way or still use them. Maybe that's indicative of our mindset, beats me. I just enjoy the banter, photos and occasional video.
Speaking of regulars, anyone heard from JoAnn lately?

Every topic isn't for everybody but I find some of them interesting even if I can't contribute much to that topic. I learn about new stuff like radio or techy stuff. It is a diverse group we have here.
