We really should consider trying a dehydrator but Hubby doesn't like soup. He doesn't like peaches, nectarines or plums. I don't know how much use we would get out of it. If the cherry trees or the strawberries were really producing, those are very good dried, it would definitely be worth trying a dehydrator.

I use mine only for jerky. Maybe he would like that.

Still recovering Lizzie. I was really busy yesterday catching up on things, paying bills, laundry, cleaning, unpacking, making new coils, brushing my shedding cat etc. I still have to make juice, freeze some nic, mow the lawn etc and I'm too wound up to sleep good. It's sure good to be home and out of that dang car though.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I'm leaving a skid mark every where I go today, my .... is dragging, big time! It was my granddaughters birthday yesterday and I over did the desserts. Then we had a great pyrotechnic show from 1 until 2 this morning as some really heavy T&L with lots of rain went by. I didn't sleep very well and had to get up anyway to get Bo to the vet.

Now I'm doing laundry, all his sheets and some more spare, just in case. Why is there's always one fitted sheet that wraps everything up and leaves you with a bunch of damp stuff? While that's going on I had to mix some liquids, like about 250ml. I bought a Fogger and it drinks liquids but man does it vape! Next up is vacuum, dust and move all the breakables up so he doesn't accidentally break anything with the cone he'll be wearing. Haven't heard back from the vet yet on how things went, but he always comes out of anesthetic kind of slowly then ends up with a messy stomach from it, so I'm also cooking chicken breast and rice for him.

I just got an update from Rave. BF is doing much better today but she is SHOT to quote her so she may need a couple of days to regroup and not be posting until them so don't worry about her. She'll be fine. :)

Poor Raven.

It's hard taking care of someone who has had surgery.

Terry, sounds like you are doing a good job of catching up on the stuff you didn't do when you were gone.

You are having a busy day, awsum. I hope Bo is doing alright after his surgery.

I hear you on the sheets:)

I love dessert! Good times. How nice that you participated in your grand daughter's Birthday.

We are being threatened with thunderstorms with a twenty percent chance all week. I wish we would get one.

You don't want thunderstorms like we had last night. I've got to get out a shovel and rake and fill in the ruts the water caused last night, about twenty feet long. eight inches wide and six inches deep.

Wow, you are right, I don't want a thunderstorm that is that big!

Yes, it's been hard on her but I think the stress before the surgery was harder. The pacemaker surgery was harder taking care of him.

BF mowed my lawn :toast: but I still have to weed whack. I made up a bunch of juice and 200 ml of base, got a referral for an MRI for my shoulder so now I'm almost caught up. YAY!

Yeah, they said it was two to three inches, in an hour, depending on the specific location. Judging by the wash marks and the ruts in the driveway it was probably close to three inches.

I hope Rave takes a day or three t rest up, she needs it!

Bo is home but still a little "out of sorts" from the anesthetic. He had work on both hind legs, the paw on the right and the knee on the left. I built a step for him to get into and out of the Jeep. When we picked him up he jumped in like a hurdler, never even touched the step. When we got him home he did use it getting out. I'm really surprised at how mobile he is with both hind legs having surgery, even "minor" stuff. I think we're in for a long night until the anesthetic wears off and he gets some food into him. He hasn't eaten since dinner yesterday, and he is a "chow hound".

I know what Rave means. I've been taking care of DW since last Thurs. after surgery....again. I'm starting to get used to it.

Dehydrators are great for stuff like making banana, apple, etc. chips. Great healthy snaks and don't need refrigeration. I love carrying a bag at work and just snacking once in a while instead of eating lunch. Smokers are for jerky lol. I've got a jerky gun that makes a tape out of ground beef. Just add cure and seasoning, mix well, distribute on the smoker and keep the fire cool for a few hours while sipping limeade and vaping clouds.

JUST AS AN FYI;

Ok - "VOLTIANS" . . .

I am really going to make this short & sweet. . . Although I haven't been posting to much or often here (really only lurking most of the time recently) and I was not going to say anything, however given that this is "My" Main Home Thread I feel as though I need to - especially given our closeness here and so no one worries why there haven't been any likes . . .

Here is the situation, I will be limiting "My" participation on ECF even more for the next few days, since I just learned earlier today from a police officer that one of "My" Best Friends died sometime over the weekend (Matter of fact - she was the one to get "Me" started with an "eCig") . . . AND - Although I will be popping in every so often - As the executor of her estate and I am her sole survivor, I will be very busy getting things arranged and will not be on as much as I normally would be . . .

SO I hope "You" all will also understand that there is absolutely No Need For Any Condolences - PLEASE, especially since I know each and everyone one of "You" are sending them "My" Way already ("liking" the post is more then sufficient) and I do not want to take any more time away from the normal "Chit Chat" then I am already doing by posting this message . . .

With that said, I will still be "lurking" to read all the stories about what everyone is up to and see all the pictures too, just not as much right now . . . :D

I love jerky but I've never tried hamburger jerky. Doesn't it crumble?
