Sorry i havent responded sooner but still no internet and having a hard tme finding a provider out here. I havent looked at the party thread yet because i cant like on my phone or even quote a post so i cant respond properly. Its very hard on a phone. Im sorry to spoil your fun.![]()
Yep - that's exactly how they do it. My late husband (a former scientist on the Apollo mission) bid on an FAA project. Mind you, he was one man working out of his basement. He got the contract because he was the lowest bidder. But, he got the job done and did it well.Maybe they could have spent the money they used to study a whole bunch of useless, stupid, idiotic things like shrimp on a treadmill, and a multitude of others, on ebola research. At least the space program, such as it is right now, does produce some useful and productive research including disease research.
That rocket had Russian built engines in the first stage by the way. What was Steve Bushemi's line "250,000 moving parts assembled by the lowest bidder."?
That's great, Terry, tired, sore and all! This was worse than waiting for shipping notification for a mod co-op!

I call 'em "little white bugs" here. Yesterday, I drove through what was darn near a whiteout on the way home. But, it was less than three miles from my house, so I wasn't concerned. I could almost find my way home by scent.I just had a thought about Terry's Internet service. I think some people here who are out in the sticks have a satellite dish that they use.
Also with satellite, they put a cap on how much you download. You download too much and they slow down your internet and charge you extra....Of coarse you may not dl 500 gigabytes in a month (or however much their cap is
)
Suffice it to say that it was 28 degrees when I first got up this morning. But, it's purty out there even though the leaves are mostly gone. Most of 'em blew off yesterday in the high winds that tore through here.
