That would be problematic! Maybe I'm just stubborn, but I love my 32 gauge because I know just how many coils I need for each application.

For me too. If I had to first decide on which wire, I don't think I'd get ANY building done.
I only have RBAs and mechs now though, so I use 27g and vary resistance with diameter and # wraps.

Yup. That's the same with me. Just about exclusively rba's on mechs. I just vary the number of wraps to get the resistance that I want. Too many different gauges just confuses me ...

Yeah - I dunno. Says on the bottle that it is a mixture of tung oil and other fine penetrating oils.
No, I believe you - it's real stuff. They DO have real trees in China, Trit!

Supposedly you do not have to re-oil nearly as much as with mineral. Some people say only once or twice a year vs. monthly mineral oil treatments.
Pure tung oil is FDA approved and non-toxic by nature.

Yeah, but the fun is being able to vary wire size, coil diameter and the number of turns. That allows "fine tuning" each coil/wick for the specific device. Granted, it takes time to do, but I find it worth the effort, plus I'm OCD anyway, LOL.

Really? You think that's fun?

Spring has sprung around here, and a few of the locals are attacking their own image in the picture windows. The song birds aren't too obnoxious, but Henry, the downy woodpecker has been at this for DAYS now!

I can't see this vid. It says to sign in. Could you email it to me please?

Sitting down, facing forward.
moanin', Voltalytes.

Terry and Rave, how'd you make out with the bad weather going through out your way? The T&L woke me up at four this morning, but it was just T&L with some rain and wind.

(I have the same problem with the video)

Where's Sandy?

Good morning, Voltites.

Cindycated, awsum, Trit, Raven - You guys are so funny with all your talk of wire.

Yes, we are missing our SandySu. Where are you? I hope Penny is okay and you, too, SandySu.

I cleaned a house yesterday and then headed to Costco. I pumped gas and then got my two fake whisky barrels for planters [they are resin] and a giant bag of potting soil. Then I got the giant bag of dogfood.

Then, I started getting more and more worn out feeling. By the time I got the Cheerios and teriyaki sauce and a few more assorted items, I was ready to go. I got out to the car and my arms were totally worn out. I had to bear hug the potting soil and the dogfood to get them into the truck. Basically, I "hit the wall" as they say in the running world.

I seriously thought I was gong to have to walk back into the store and get some help loading my truck. My poor muscles had reached their limit.

I managed to get the few refrigerated items out of the truck but that was it. Hubby helped me bring in the rest of the stuff when he got home.

That means I have to rest up today and not do too much. It is very frustrating that everything takes arm strength and my arms are limited:)

Hubby has to work OT on Monday so he will only have Sunday and Tuesday to get stuff done and get some rest. We shall see how it goes. I really need him to do a couple of things for me so that I can start planting peas and potatoes.

T&L woke me up, I could even feel the ground vibrating (I sleep on an air mattress on the floor). That is very rare with my hearing loss.
I am worried about Penny, too. She loves that horse so much

I'm OCD too, but not about building coils. Whatever blows your skirt up, Awsum.

Ah - yer right. I had my video marked "Private" instead of "Unlisted". It's nothing to write home about anyhow, but this should work:

Sure can relate about hitting a wall. That happened to me on Wednesday. Very frustrating when you're crazy independent.

She's probably busy, she will get back and probably be ok.

Sure hope you're right.

You youth people always come up with those words like OMG, LOL, T&L, ROFL and confuse me.

Funny as heck considering that there's only one other person here younger than you are!

**********

Amazing stormage here last night. I thought the woods was going to come down around me. My back deck got fairly well rearranged. The wind blew the hand truck that I use for bringing in firewood all the way to the other side. Looks like there are branches down all over. But, I didn't get hit nearly as hard as my BF and Terry down South of me. My BF said that his house was vibrating. I was watching carefully on radar and saw a signature comma shape fast approaching them. That almost always means trouble. Then you combine that with a big bow echo, and it means that they got hit hard down there. Terry enjoyed the heck out of it. I feel the same way about thunderstorms, but I would've enjoyed it more without all of the wind.

Speaking of my BF: I find it absolutely charming that he picked daffodils from his own yard and delivered them in a KFC cup. :): Means a LOT more to me than receiving a dozen roses from a florist.
