Good morning, voltpeeps.

We went to the Christmas potluck at the family friend's house. Delicious.

Mom gave me some money towards the horse cart I want. So cool. Hubby got the rifle scope of his dreams. Nice.

A simple but satisfying Christmas this year.

Well - Yesterday turned out to be fairy normal day here in Florida (Well what is accepted as normal for Florida) - still over 80* with well over 6 feet of Sunshine (as "Wuzz" would say), along with a gentle breeze of wind . . . SO - Very pleasant weather to say the least . . .

AND - After a couple of days before of just running around trying to send off a special package to someone (which didn't happen yet) and also making "Lasagna w/ Homemade Gravy" for "My" Best Friends for their Christmas gift, it was a relief to just not have to really do anything, but enjoy a relaxing day . . .

One of the nicest parts of the day actually started about a week before when - "My" Christmas presents arrived . . .

Boy was I surprised, especially since I got exactly what I wanted as Christmas Presents this year . . .

NICE ! ! !

(BTW: Since I bought them all for "Myself" just to make sure I did . . . )

Then if that wasn't enough, after I got through the hectic holiday traffic, I went to "MY" Best Friends Home for a very special dinner this year - NYC Style "Jewish Christmas" Day & Dinner . . .

. . .

BTW: For those that don't know, that is having Chinese Food for Dinner

(either in the restaurant or delivered) and then going to the movies

. . . Or - Doing something that is equally as FUN . . . No Cooking, No Clean-up really if Ya' use paper plates/bowls & chop sticks, and definitely takes away all the hassle and being drained of energy . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

So all in all - A really enjoyable, fun, and nice relaxing day . . .

And - On that note, I really hope everyone else had a FUN and interesting 24 hours, celebrating the Holiday as they wanted to or at least made the day as enjoyable as they could . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Okay - Guess it is back to reality today, gotta get that DAMN package repacked once again (Hopefully, the 3rd time's the charm - as they say  ), so I can finally ship it off at a more reasonable cost on Monday . . . Wish "Me" Luck Guys . . .

Expecting snow tuesday here as well, i'm guessing your in new england tritium. I HATE snow. my jeep's engine blew this fall and now i'm stuck riding around my mom's yoda' camery, with BALD TIRES, no less. I'm genuinely afraid for my life... going from my 4wd to that, is going to take some getting used to... I've NEVER had a car before. I'm really upset about the jeep. REALLY upset. I could cry... so POd. there will certainly be no.. passing slow cars, in the oncoming traffic lane, this winter. I'LL be the slow car. :'( it's like a sick, humiliating joke... i HATE the guy that sold me that jeep. Less than a year old and it's GONE!!!! ahhh well... lets just pray the snow stays away.

That's rough, plumes.

Hang in there. I remember driving in the snow in a camaro with no heater. Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

Ah you Americans, have to be first at everything

Normally I would agree with Ya', however given your expertise I thought "You" might remember that although there are very different climate zones all over the World with the prevailing winds usually what happens here in the State's first will eventually get to European Continent & "You" . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

lol noo, it's cracked between cylinders. I need a new engine... which will cost 3-4K + Labor...
& to make things even more "awesome" (sarcasm) a drunk woman hit me on the turnpike before it had broken down... PLUS, a man in a rental car (because he had just totaled the car he owned) ran a stop sign and hit me in the SAME panel, (both accidents were about 2mo apart) so, it's sitting in my yard with 1 crumpled-up side... BOTH accidents, I could-of gotten it fixed for free (from their insurance) but, nooo... now that the engine blew, I CANT get the body fixed, and i only have so-much time before the insurance companies WONT fix it!

so i'm really at the mercy of my mom, she's the 1 that would pay to have a new engine put in. I dont have that type of money (hence.. why i have no new vehicle, or new engine, lol) and, my mom... is my mom :p it won't get done.. Not until AFTER the deadline for the two accidents, lol. so then she'll fix it and I'll have to drive around a crumpled up jeep, i'm sure. & she is ADAMENT that she will be getting it a new engine, and WONT be buying me a new car. She told me she'd rather me drive around in a safe jeep with cracked door panels than buy a new vehicle. lol. but beggars can't be choosers!! i do love her. :D

Twilight Zone
Good morning, Voltpuppywatchers.

Puppy pic.
Those are some neat little critters Lizzie. Bet you're getting anxious. He/she should be pretty easy to work with coming from a happy puppyhood rather than some puppy mill. Careful breeding and a caring home make a lot of difference in a dog when they grow up.

Cant you repair the bodywork with the insurance first and then repair the engine when the time comes?

I'm sure I could.... but... Idk how we would attempt to do that... I'd have to have it towed to the body work shop, ask them where they want it... then they'd have to deal with fixing the body of a vehicle that won't move. Then I'd have to tow it back home. (or to a 2nd body shop, if both insurance companies make me use certain shops) and the bill to tow a vehicle aint cheap these days, it's 4 to 500 bucks. I DO have tow-insurance on it right now, so, i technically.. MIGHT... be-able.. to call my tow-insurance company up, tell them i broke down (in my yard, lol) and have them tow it to a body shop... But then there's still the question of whether a body shop will work on a vehicle that they can't move onto-and-off-of their electric lifts, and to-and-from the garage, into different worker's stalls, etc/etc... It'd certainly be a LOT of work and a big logistical headache... But, yeah, I've THOUGHT about it, lol.
