Here's another book you both will love: Cloven Hooves: Megan Lindholm: 9780553293272: Amazon.com: Books

I proofread this years ago, and I actually dripped tears on the ms. I think now it's published by someone other than whoever I worked for when I read it.

It's got a bit of romance and a bit of fantasy and a bit of the psychology of the characters. Very moving.

You have to read this one if you haven't: Never Cry Wolf : Amazing True Story of Life Among Arctic Wolves: Farley Mowat: 9780316881791: Amazon.com: Books

I did see this movie, and it fell far short of the book. How could anything live up to this book? They just couldn't make it any better than Farley Mowat already did.

PS: For those who won't read nonfiction, this reads like fiction, though it's a true story. Don't be afraid. It's not dry at all!

Another good one not on Kindle. :(

This one sounds good but it isn't on Kindle yet. :(

Cloven Hooves may never be on Kindle. It's not that popular for some reason, though I think it's an excellent book. Maybe it's a little too offbeat for the general public. It was out of print for a while, and I think just recently someone decided to reprint it again. I think it's one of those undiscovered gems. Maybe if you'll only read books on Kindle, you are limiting yourself.

Yes, I'm limiting myself but I don't have much choice. I have neck and shoulder problems so to read I have to have the book propped up so I don't have to look down. And holding a book that high kills my shoulders. I have a book holder that I used to use on a breakfast tray in bed but it was a PITA so when I got the Kindle and then the iPad it was just so much more comfortable to read hands free. I was rear ended in a car accident when I was a lot younger and got whiplash and have suffered from it ever since.

I'm sorry to hear that. For Never Cry Wolf, maybe they have it on CD and you can listen to it. Maybe it'll be on Kindle someday. It's a fairly popular book. I guess Cloven Hooves is a lost cause, though. I think it's just too underground to wind up on Kindle or CD. You never know, though. What if you contacted the publisher and asked them for it? Explain your problem reading paper books. Maybe if enough people request it, they might make it available on Kindle. I wonder how hard or expensive that'd be. Not very, I think.

Thank you. :)

I really don't want to go to all that trouble. I have it on my wish list and can use my book holder so it's not a lost cause. :) I just have to wait until I have some money now that you've run up my wish list. :p

Here's one you might like: Flowers for Algernon: Daniel Keyes: 9780156030083: Amazon.com: Books

It's on Kindle, and it's sorta sci-fi and sorta a romance, but definitely a good read. I read it long ago and also in the past year, and both times, I really enjoyed it. It was made into a movie called Charley, but I don't think the movie was very popular. Probably not nearly as good as the book.

I can run it up some more (evil grin). I can think of good books galore, given time for them to seep into my consciousness.

Okay this is a test run... I got my Photobucket account... Let's see if I can get it to work.

okay I can't how do you get your pics off of photobucket to here?

I don't have photobucket but isn't there an image URL you copy then paste into the pic icon on the menu bar of each reply?
