Spring will be there soon, Q.
Not soon enough for me. The ants think it's Spring though. They infested my trailer last summer and they are getting an early start this year.
Spring will be there soon, Q.
Terry, I hope you made it through the storm ok and will get at least a bit of sunshine soon.
Alright, at least you can tell the doctor you tried his plan, Raven. Moving along, doc. Sorry to hear it didn't work but hoping, the doc will help you in the long run.
The irises love our climate and soil so they are easy to maintain. The pond itself isn't too bad either. The critters love a pond. The birds are going to have a nice area to drink from once the project is finished. We are making tow [or maybe three] mining sluice boxes that the water will run through and then back into the pond. We'll install a pump and hose to get the water to the top. Hubby has to do an electrical outlet from the house to the outside which means trenching and running a pipe for conduit. I'm lobbying for a four plug outlet so I can have a heater for the horses and goats during the next cold winterThe pond will need a heater for the winter, too.
The water will go down one sluice box and then into the next one and maybe then into a third one. Most projects look best in threes so we shall see how this goes. The birds will love playing in the sluice boxes.
I love to watch water as much I love watching a campfire with the exception of RAIN!
We got hit pretty hard yesterday afternoon and all night with rain. I used earplugs so I over slept. It's now noon:15 and sunny but more rain is on the way. It's coming from the west so the Olympic Mts may shelter us from the worst of it.
They still haven't fixed the "view first unread post" so I'll be on Tapatalk reading until they get it fixed. I hate typing on my phone so I'll have to use my PC for posting so I probably won't be around much until they get this fixed.
Rave, sorry the cream isn't working but I was pretty sure it wouldn't. I've had cortisone shots in my shoulders (in the muscle) and they worked great at first but I got less relief time in between each shot after the first one. I don't think that is the answer for you either. If the bone is broken then it has to heal completely before the pain goes away for good. I wonder why they haven't put a cast on your wrist until the bone heals. Maybe I missed something in your explanation of the problem. I'm sure they'll get it fix though.

Oh...yes, I'll take lots of pictures but I doubt I'll get any of the elusive Rave. She is more camera shy than I am and I'm pretty bad.![]()

I Really "Like" Lurkingand Reading though the thread
what is going on in "Voltville" and everyones Lives right now . . . Except for the "Health Problems"![]()
, the "Horrible Weather"

SO - THANK YOU . . .![]()

Hope you don't get clobbered by the next storm.
It seems to be hit and missed today. It rains hard for a few minutes and then stops for awhile. That's better than a steady rain.
"View First Unread Post" is driving me nuts. Hope that they get that bug squashed soon.
Me too but it sounds like it might take awhile. They say they have higher priorities.
The doc just thinks that it is a broken bone. But, I haven't heard what the X-Rays turned up yet. I'm not certain that the cortisone cream isn't helping just yet. I mean - the whole purpose it to take down inflammation. Inflammation can pinch nerves and it can set up a self-feeding cycle. So, I'll use up this tube, applying as directed until it's gone, and try my darndest to have an open mind. I don't even know what I might have done back in 2009 to have started this whole thing. It was probably one of my falls. Who knows?
Hopefully it will work better after you've been using it for awhile. Are you still using the brace?
Oh good. I'm glad that you already understand that I won't allow pictures of me, so I won't have to duke it out with you when you're here. After all: Photographs steal your soul, and I have precious little of that remaining, so ...
Ahahha! I can be sneakyand you won't even know but I promise that I won't post any of you if I manage to catch you unawares.
Duke it out with me? Would you hit me with your cane?
Besides, you've had so few photos taken of yourself that you have plenty of soul left.
I hear ya. What I like about this thread is that, even though we all have our weather, health problems, and trials and tribulations, we still have a sense of humor about it all. And, we have a mutual support system in each other. That's priceless!
Ditto!
Here's one bit of good news that didn't look good at first. Dave's gal informed me that the propane truck was here. My heart sank. But, by the time I made it to the door (I'm a wee bit slow), the propane truck was pulling out of the drive. I quickly checked my gauge and found that I was still right at 50%.I'd bet money that he was tasked to come out here and see if my gauge wasn't working because I hadn't used any propane. The gauge in my tank is monitored remotely at their office. So -

BF just told me that anyone caught smoking on the train can get booted off. He didn't know if that pertained to ecigs or not so now I'm looking for a very small stealth mod that will take a small tank and drip tip that will fit it my hand without showing. Everything I have is long. Does anybody have any ideas for an inexpensive stealth mod?

Gorgeous photos, Sandy! I really love your perspective when you take these shots. The ice shots are particularly fascinating. The critter is a muskrat, and the ducks with the red heads are called ... "red headed ducks"!![]()
I hope it gets well very soon.
Hiya voltville,
I know, everyone but Terry is asleep. Hi Terry!View attachment 312830
Lizzie, What in the world is a "hula hoe"?
Rave!!!! I am soo sorry about your wrist.I hope it gets well very soon.
Sandy, those pictures were gorgeous! What kind of camera do you use? I know its not just about the camera but mine is a 20$ cheapo camera from wally world. I have been looking at some Sony cameras, especially the Handicam. I need one with a rechargeable battery pack. I really hate buying batteries for my cam. They are so expensive and I won't use anything but duracell.
So sad story of the week. The guy who bought the 24 acres next us is cutting down all the trees to make a pasture. Our trail is gone and when I look to the right of the house and to the rear of the house I don't see hardly any trees. There are gonna be COWS next to us! With a barbed wire fence! I won't be able to let my little bruno run around now and I'm gonna need to spend 20 bucks that I don't have to buy a new harness and leash.
I miss my woods!
I told my fiance that when we get our own place, It HAS to be a minimum of 20 acres! I need trees dangit!![]()
It's alright I guess. The 20 acres is probably a pipe dream anyways. I'm probably more sad and cranky cause I'm losing sleep over the dang saws and tractors. Not to mention the horrible CCRRAACCKK and death screech of the trees.![]()
I'd rather smell horse poo any day.
