Are you going to explain the Princess and Papa stuff? Curious minds and all that.
Aha, well, I adopted Princess Evie as my forum daughter. "Princess" is a title that was given to her by the folks on the Halo chat thread. A father should call his daughter "princess", so that's what I call her. Of course, since I'm her forum father, she calls me Papa. They are terms of endearment, Terry. :)

I see. Thanks. I figured it was something like that.

Talking about woods. When I got out of the Army, I went hunting with my best friend, who had gotten out of the Marines, a couple of years before. We went hunting in an area in northwest Rhode Island, that we were unfamiliar with, but we didn't care, we were confident that we would be ok. After all, we had survived the wartime military, we were invincible. LOL He was able to drive his car into the woods and sure enough, we got lost. He couldn't turn the car around, so we just kept going forward. I sat on the hood and guided him around obstacles. After a while we emerged in Connecticut. We were a crazy couple of kids.

Not according to this site: Moss Growth | Myth Busters |

Yes, I suppose moss can grow anywhere but typically the north side of trees will get less sun and retain more moisture so I will change my statement to the mossiest side of a tree is North. Now watch Rave come along and prove me wrong. Shoot, this is what I was taught when I was little. If it's not true than if I ever got lost I'd really be lost. :(

I took this shot yesterday at BF's place with my cell phone. The deer on the left has a nasty looking scar on it's side. BF has deer in his yard all the time. I haven't seen a single deer since I moved a little ways out of town a year ago. :(

Goodnight, Princess !!!!! :)

I'm sure she wouldn't do that. She walks in that creek. Maybe even skinny dips in it.

I was taught it when I was little, too, but not everything I learned as a child had turned out to be true.

I had a couple of deer here yesterday, a doe and and her nearly grown fawn.

That is a nasty scar. It looks like it was stabbed with something, maybe a sharp tree branch?

I was thinking a car. That's how a lot of deer are injured or killed around here. It's not too safe for the cars and drivers, either.
