Your nearest hydrogen bomb.
I'll be busy next week, on my knees, worshipping the silicon god.
Let me know if you need any help if i can search something.

Trit, those pots are handy. When you plant into the garden, make sure rip the top edge of the pot off so that the exposed edge doesn't suck the moisture out of the soil in the pot.
Lizzie i didn't get the idea but i'll look into it.

Seems the following month i will be left without a job anymore. That was it.

Tritium, I don't know what to say. I do think that given your talents, drive and ambition you will find something that produces some kind of income. I know Greece is having problems with the economy and their "corrective measures" are only making it worse. I hope the dawn comes soon to those running things.

Can you go to some other country to find work until the Greek economy turns around? I think Germany keeps hands off on helping the Greek economy so they can get more guest-workers there. Since you are multi-lingual anyway----

Great idea!!!

How far can you go with 2.36USD? :D

The problem is that i have something to do and until i finish my work i won't get income out of this.

What do we do till then is the problem, for 2-3 months.

 Oh no, Tritium! I can't "like" that post. As Sandy says, hopefully things will turn around for you because you are so smart and resourceful.

Well - I got my wish even though no one else is happy about it. We got six inches of beautiful snow, and it's still falling. Unfortunately, with the travel conditions as they are here, that means that we can't go to Terry's house to work on it. My BF is feeling out of sorts anyhow.

My back yard-not with creek frozen from side to side except for that one little patch:

Sorry about taking this through the screen. See that white hump of snow above the woodpile? There's a surveillance camera buried there under about six inches. Methinks I need to rethink the positioning for that camera.

Cameras need to be up and off of anything that snow, or anything else, can accumulate on, Rave.

We started out at 2 degrees at 6 this morning with clear skies. Now it's up to 28, 5 hours later, the wind is coming out of the south, and the sun is hidden by snowy looking clouds. I'm wondering if we'll get any snow or if it will just be rain at the rate the temps are rising.

I bought a Samsung EVU 850 drive and it comes with software that is supposed to allow a clone of the original drive, even a Windows boot drive. We shall see what se shall see once it gets here.

Don't let it get to you, Tritium. I know we're (all of us Voltatics) standing ready to help even though we're an ocean away.

OK, I've caught up.

Thanks for telling me about your horses, Shawn. I have an old girl, too, though she's 24, not as old as yours. My horse, Penny, lives with another mare who sounds like Jahim. Her name is Jasmine, and you'll probably hear stories about her from time to time.

Rave, that furniture you built is excellent! You are so clever!

I returned from Philadelphia today. They were just putting the finishing touches on the bathroom, and it looks great. Now I have to put stuff back. I have some of it put away already, but there's more to go, and Bill left a mountain of laundry, which I did most of this afternoon. I haven't even opened the mail waiting for me.

Of course, I had to get my computer back online first! My brother put more memory in and then upgraded the operating system. Now it's Yosemite, and before I even knew what it was called, when I saw the picture of Half Dome on the screen, I said, "Yosemite!" and my brother said, "Yes, that's what it's called." I'm going to have to download new games, since my old ones don't work with the new OS. Every time this happens, I mourn my old games. But I'll find new ones.

When I got to Philly, of course it was warmer than here, and though they were all saying how cold it was, I felt like it was a bit of a reprieve. Then it got colder and very windy, and we had about 3" of snow one day, but I think we got more up here, and when it was cold there and I checked the temperature here, it was much colder, so I did escape from the worst of it.

I wanted to go see Penny today, but there was so much to do at home that I hardly knew what needed doing first, and I'll try to get to Penny tomorrow. The farrier is coming to trim her hooves on Sunday morning, anyway.

I missed this post yesterday. Yeah, I miss a lot of stuff:)

So, I'm glad the bathroom turned out nicely.

Yeah - I know this, Awsum. This is the only camera I have that I didn't install myself. Didn't have the heart to move it after BF put it on top of that. I was thinking that I'd mount it on the side. Now he won't be insulted when I move it.

That Samsung drive sounds like a great solution to your problem. Sure hope that it works out for ya.

Guess I'll wade out onto the snowy deck and feed the flying freeloaders. They are rather unhappy with me at the moment.

Good morning Voltpenguins. I read back a bit, one whole page. Trit is losing his job? I'm sorry to hear that Trit. Like the others said, I hope you find work somewhere, somehow. :(

Nice pics, Rave. Sorry to hear that you are getting the snow. It's quieted down here a bit, so hopefully now it's waiting for spring, the melting of this snow and ice, and no doubt, the inevitable flooding.

Tahiti is looking better everyday. :thumb:

I walked Bo at 1PM. While I was washing my hands it started snowing. Now, everything is covered, already, and the temperature dropped two degrees again. Looks like we will get some snow before it turns to rain.

The forecast for the Philadelphia area I heard on the car radio yesterday said "a wintry mix" of snow, sleet, and rain for the weekend. At least it'll be warmer. It's warming up here, too, into the 20s today, but it'll go down to 0 tonight. We had snow earlier, maybe about an inch, though it's hard to tell, the way it's blowing outside. This morning, Bill asked me (great oracle that he supposes me to be) when this cold would be over. I answered, "March sometime?"

I'm trying (and not succeeding, so far) to buy games from the App Store. I can't believe they make it so hard to purchase something. At this point, if I could find games elsewhere, I'd buy them somewhere besides the App Store. I'm totally fed up. I want to pay via PayPal, not enter credit card info, and they accept PayPal, it's one of the options they offer, but when I try to buy a game I see, it wants my credit card info and won't proceed without it. Maddening!

This new OS is so new that there don't seem to be lots of games that fit. My choices seem to be limited to the App Store, but maybe I'll look around some more and find another source for the games or others.

I finally got the Apps Store to work! Amazing! It took me all day to get through. And I downloaded one game so far. I like it. It's called Avoid: Sensory Overload. You fly a plane along a track, but there are little blue things that give you points you try to run over, and then the track has holes in it you avoid, plus there are blocks that are barriers you don't want to crash into. And the plane goes faster and faster as you go. I like this kind of game. It doesn't have some complicated story. It's just reflexes. I like that I can play it right away with some success, and when I get better, I can go to a higher level. Pretty soon, I'll get more games, but this one seemed most like one I'd enjoy, so I started with it. I still want to contact the makers of the old games and see if they have updated any for the new OS. Probably not. That's been my past experience.
