Our winter isn't over. It snowed a little last night and this morning. Just a fraction of an inch, but it was snow. And the wind was howling, though it's calmer now. Even so, I'm grateful that the temperatures these days are more moderate than the extreme cold we had in January and February. Now, of course, our driveway and any other packed-down surface is total ice. The thin coat of snow actually made it less slippery today.

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

SandySu - I believe that is a redtail hawk.

Here is the purse. This is a photo of the keys, PV's, tablet, phone, wallet and juice case poking out.

Here is is all put away and zipped up.

The purse has a messenger bag strap, a small hand hold strap on the top in the back and backpack straps that are tucked away in a zippered pocket in the backside of the purse.

I'm very happy with my purchase.

Plum tree.

It was really cloudy yesterday but we do have signs of spring.

Looks like the daffodils are starting to come up.

The biggest sign of spring.....there are hair balls all over the yard and the house because the critters are shedding.

Spring has sprung! Predicted high today-- 72! :D

Nice! I don't think we will get that warm today but it has been well above freezing for the last several nights. Unfortunately, we will get some freezing nights again so I hope we don't have the trees leaf out and then get damaged.

Lizzie, thanks for the purse report and the hawk ID. Your springtime photos make me jealous. We will have a high today of 51, which is about the warmest it's been so far, but there's still ice in the driveway where the shade from the house falls. I just went out and sprinkled salt on a path from our door to the car.

You are welocome, SandySu. Spring will be there soon for you, I just know it:)

Yep 72 is the core temp mark for spring...

I had no idea there was a core temperature for spring.

Good night with more trees in the snow. It's melting fast, though.

Today, before I went off to tutor the kids, I chipped away at the ice to make a path from my door to my car. I salted the area first, left it for a while, then went out with the ice chipper and hacked till I nearly got a blister. The ice was about 2" thick by our front doorstep but thinner elsewhere.

Hi Voltnics,

Terry - I got a pair of the Duluth Trading Flex Firehose pants and I love them. They are really comfortable for doing yard jobs in. I also got an extra long T-shirt and an extra long Henley. Both on super sale since I am cheap. Thanks for your reviews on your pants:)

How is it going in your new place? Feeling warmer yet?

Awsum, how is Bo doing? Have you thawed out?

SandySu - How is Penny doing? Is she still stiff. My farrier called and will be here next Monday.

Raven - How are you feeling? Hope your MS symptoms are still improving.

How about the rest of the bunch? Is it spring yet where you live?

Celt - are you still working on Grandma's house? Zero - how is the quilting going? Are you still working on your book?

Q - How old are the twins now?

Uncle - are you enjoying your Florida weather? That goes for you, too, Wuzz.

Enquiring minds want to know:)

Sitting down, facing forward.
moanin' Voltville.

Yeah, we've sort of thawed out. It's 62 at the moment but supposed to drop with high winds this afternoon. It's the springtime rollercoaster for a few weeks now, but at least there probably won't be any hard freezes.

As is usual with USPS, Tritium's package is only showing as having left the local post office after four days.
