Bo's bath turned into an adventure. We made a stop at a surgical supply to get a left hand wrist brace for Mrs. Awsum. From there, on to Princeton and Petco. The place looked almost deserted and we had to go to the checkout register, no customers there, to get the grooming area person.

Anyhow, he had a nice bath and didn't seem to mind it as much as normal. It was hot out, in the mid 90's, so we walked around the strip mall to let him finish drying. then headed on home. That was the start of the adventure.

I pulled into traffic on 295 and noticed a wisp of steam come up from the left front at the corner of the hood and fender. Uh oh! Pulled over, with the "coolant" warning lit and steam was coming from that corner. I popped the hood and looked, but really couldn't see where the leak is. Anyhow, called AAA and that was painful. What's so hard about "mile marker 66.8 on 295 southbound" for a location? They had me on Route 1, a mile back and definitely not 295. Expected wait time was a half hour. No shade, little breeze and a big doggy made it a long wait even though it was about fifteen minutes.

Then it got more interesting. One of us wanted to ride in the Jeep with Bo but they couldn't allow that, rules or law I'm not sure. Poor Bo was really hot, as we all were. The flat bed driver gave us a bottle of ice water for Bo but he is very picky about water and wouldn't drink it. Then the Jeep, with Bo in it, got secured down and we got in the truck for the ride home. The AC in the truck wasn't working and the passenger window regulator was broken so that didn't open. When we got home Mrs. Awsum and I were both soaked and Bo was panting like a race horse. He finally cooled down, after drinking about a half gallon of water.

Tomorrow I get to play "Shade Tree Mechanic" in 95 degree heat. So much fun.

 Oh No - What a pain! I am glad that you got it fixed though and no one melted during the time of the breakdown.

Good morning, Voltinians.

Supposed to be 93 degrees today.

Did I ever show you my flower photos?

Daylillies look fantastic this year.

Oh my goodness - your yard is absolutely breathtaking!!

So I got home all right. We drove 19 hours straight through on sunday. I had a day of rest at my mom's house then came home tuesday. I had to take some me time, so I apologize for not telling y'all I arrived safely. I also got pretty busy. I went grocery shopping the other day and spent 4 hours at wal-mart!!!!!! Fiance's dad came along and we had to look around the whole store at everything then we actually got the groceries. When you are shopping on a budget you have to add everything up right? Well that is exactly what we did with a calculator and everything! Lawd have mercy, I was exhausted! Then I had to turn around the next day and hit up a one day sale at a different store to buy coffee and water. I am talking a really good sale on bottled water, four packs for 9 dollars! Then today I drove to FFIL (future father in law) nephews house and spent four hours over there.... I am tired!!! and HOT!!! :):)

That's a heckuva long drive! I'm so glad that you made it home safely. :)

My thermometer says it's 98 in the shade in spite of the weather saying it's only 93. Think I'm going to take a break and stay inside for a while.

Same here - TV says 95 - thermometer says 101.

For once, I'm not jealous of living where you guys do. Just sayin'.

I'm hangin' in there. Mostly, I've been cooped up indoors because of the daily rains. My BF has been taking me fishing which helps. He may be getting aggravated with me though, cuz I've been out-fishing the heck outta him. He says it doesn't bother him ... It's just a matter of luck - not talent.

Other than that, I've been working on stuff to help my future DIL with their wedding which is coming up soon. And, I've been working on Roombas. I've got two that I'm resurrecting from "For Parts" ebay units to resell. It's fun.

Sorry I've been so quiet ...

Good afternoons, Voltdwarves.

Busy here. Went to help a neighbor and then headed to the dump. [Yes, we were going to do that yesterday but we did some other stuff instead.]

Thai food for lunch. So yummy. One of the owners there has the cutest grandbaby ever. Fun to hold the baby and play with him.

Lowes was packed but we only needed three things so in and out.

Costco - Well, you know we didn't do real Costco shopping because we only spent $53...:)

We decided to go ahead and get some more unusual fruits....Golden honeydew melon...fresh pineapple...and, my absolute favorite, raspberries.

93 degrees out and a hot drive home since we were driving the old long bed Chevy. No A/C as usual with these older vehicles.

We seem to have another pack rat so we are working on trapping it.

Nice to have a relaxing day off.

Uncle, I hope you have a nice trip. You are the emoticon expert.

Raven - So wonderful to see you posting. At least you are getting stuff done while you are stuck in the house.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

Another hot one today. 95 degrees.

Cleaning a house today. When I am done, Hubby wants me to drive down to the tire place and get my tires rotated and a nail pulled and a plug put in. This is going to suck. Certainly, I will be driving around during the hottest part of the day!!!!

moanin', Voltalytes.

We had rain yesterday as the front went through. At least the humidity is down to a reasonable level today so I can mow. Just after the rain stopped last evening we had a power failure that lasted about 30 seconds. Everything but the security camera came back up fine. Now I've got to check and see if it's the camera or PoE adapter that died. I hope it's the adapter.

Mornin' Lizzie. :) Sounds like a fun trip to Costco yesterday. I've never had the pleasure, but I've heard good things. Stinks that you have to drive home in such incredible heat with no A/C. Used to be that such temps wouldn't bother me at all, but it would kill me now. I don't envy you your tire run.

Uh oh. Hope you get that security system back up and running. If not, you have Bo as a backup. ;) We're getting the rain from that Tropical Storm "Bob" that's feeding rain up from The Gulf. It's been raining relentlessly, but not heavily.

Hoping to get a few replacement parts in the mail today so that I can get a couple of these bots running in order to list 'em on eBay. It's been years since I've sold anything there, so I'll have to learn the procedure all over again in order to get the most profit outta these. I reckon I'll be able to figure it out. Why did I have to pick such large items to market though? Packaging will be a pain in the patootie!

Hubby has sold a couple of items on Craigslist but he hasn't found the energy to try ebay yet.

That reminds me, Hubby needs to get this 14' aluminum boat on Craigslist so we can see if we can sell it despite the ongoing drought.

I've got a bunch of stuff to list on fleaBay. I just never seem to find that "round tuit" to do it though. Phots, blurbs, packing and then the post orifice run make it a chore I don't look forward to despite the added "income".

I have something big & clumsy I want to sell, too. It'll have to be a local sale, and I'd need the buyer to transport it. It's a big plastic mounting block I bought so I could get on Penny. It's still at the place she lived, and I should get someone with a truck to go get it or sell it and have the buyer pick it up there. It's probably a better idea to bring it home & sell it from here, though. I don't want to disturb the people who own the place where Penny was boarded. I should get off my .... and do something about this.

Insulation or automotive fiberglass? I usually do a warm shower followed by a cool rinse to get rid of fiberglass. The warm opens the pores and releases the fiberglass threads and the cool closes them up again after you've rinsed clean.

I just did the trouble shooting on the security camera/PoE aapter and the adapter seems fried. 48 volts in and nada out so there's the problem. Now, do I spring for an 8 port or just another single port injector? Decisions, decisions....

I sprang for the eight port because I plan on more cameras and singles get to be a pain. I also sprang for new tablets for Mrs. Awsum and myself. Mine died a yea ago and I do miss it. Mrs. Awsum has been "hinting" she'd like one with better resolution and battery life so it's the Galaxy 4. Hope they work out OK.

My bf has the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, and he loves it. It works great.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

I love my tablet. I got Hubby a Galaxy and it has been working fine.

Looks like I have a day off! My friend and I are going to go thrift store shopping. No, I don't need anything in particular but it doesn't hurt to look. I don't have to drive and I don't have to pay for gas so I am good with that.
