Sitting down, facing forward.
'moanin, Voltaticalytes.

We finally got a break from the heat and humidity. Actually got down into the 60's last night for the first time in a couple of weeks. The humidity is down and lots of bright sunshine. A very refreshing change from the last few weeks.

Nice! 58 degrees here this morning. I love when it at least starts out nice and cool.

Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!! Made me laugh, Celti.

Picking up branches and making a pile, weeding, getting the dishes and the laundry going. Time to sit down for my second cup of coffee.

I need to go to the office of the Water Coop and check on the Quick Books CD thingey program we ordered. I emailed the President to ask id he had been to the office to make sure it was there and so far no reply.

My neighbor friend broke her foot so I am going over to visit with her a bit later.

I absolutely must pick up dog toys and vacuum today!!!!!

We've got some pretty epic potholes up here, too, Celti. Some of them make you want a back brace from the impact. I look at these young folks with their "lowered" suspension and wonder how they make out with it I picture them stuck, teetering back and forth as they try to figure out how to get the wheels out of the hole without wrecking their car, further.

Another gorgeous day here, two in a row! Temps in the mid 80's and low humidity. I'm going on branch patrol, too, Lizzie, only I'm going to add them to the pile siting at the curb waiting for the Township. With all the woods around us, burning them isn't very attractive to me unless I do it during rain storms. o_O

Awsum, do they have lowriders in NJ? I thought that was a California thing. I hadn't heard of it anywhere else and first heard of it when I lived in CA.

I guess it's like those crosses by highways where people died in an accident. I first saw them traveling cross-country to CA, but now they seem to be everywhere.

Yeah, we have low riders here, too. The funniest one I ever saw was in Guam. I was working in a facility that also had public spaces in it and there was a bank and a parking area under the second floor, kind of on the ground floor. The bank had a drive through and there were speed bumps to make sure everyone behaved themselves, it was pretty tight in there. This "kid" came in with a low rider Civic, drove over the first speed bump and stopped halfway over it. The car wouldn't move any further. It was stuck with all four wheels just touching the ground. Three people sat on the hood so he could pull off of the speed bump. Problem was, there were two more speed bumps to go over to get out of there. The look on his face when the car stopped was priceless. Wish I had had a camera with me.

The crosses on the side of the highway give me mixed feelings, especially when I know that the accident involved DUI. I like to remember the people I love in nicer circumstances than the accident that took their life.

I was hoping to do some more branch patrol today cutting down the dead stuff I can reach with a pole saw but the Township guys were out there at 6:30 chipping up the pile at the curb. My efforts yesterday included trimming all the low hanging stuff that I either had to duck under walking around or when on the tractor. That effort, more or less, doubled the original pile of stuff that came down from winds and storms.

I have seen them since I was a kid. I think they are very appropriate.

There is a tree outside my door that has a large low-hanging dead branch. They usually mow on Sundays. That branch bothers me, but I usually forget to tell them until they are gone. I think I will hang a sign on it. "Please remove this branch." or something like that.

    Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

I don't like the many crosses on the side of the roads out here. It seems morbid and scary to me. I'll have to live with it since I have no choice.

    Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

I saw my first low rider in California. It was an incredible purple color and the guy saw the look on my face when the car lowered and started bumping his car up and down. Wow!!!! was I amazed. People are so creative with cars. Hot August Nights is in the area right now and people are driving all kinds of exotic cars and old cars. I always enjoy that.

Looks like we are at least going to cool down to something within the realm of reason around here. 93 degrees today and still cooler tomorrow and the next day. I like it.

Pony and Wiseguy are playing in the pen. So cute.

I noticed the sun is already swinging around towards the south again at sunrise and sunset. Time is marching on. The poplars are already seeming kind of worn and tired.

Thanx Friends. She's been the best thing that's ever happened to me. We met on a blind date and it was a "love at first sight" kind of thing. We met the first weekend in Feb. I proposed on Mothers day. We married in August. Hope everybody's having a great Friday and thanx Unc, it's a very special day indeed.

    Good morning, Voltpeeps.

It is almost light enough to feed the critters. Wiseguy and I are taking Hubby to the lake to drive with the ladies:) He is a big help for us. We have to leave here by 7 and there's lots to do since Hubby has to put my brand new flat resistant tires and tubes on my wheels and hook up the trailer before we can leave. I have a bit of gear to put together, as well. Some hay, some water and a bucket, a hoof pick, check my cart bag for the small essentials and, last but not least, the cart and harness have to go in the back of the truck.

We are doing some fresh cantaloupe and grapes for the potluck brunch.

Mornin Folks. Got breakfast done and getting ready for Church. Looks like we may get some rain later today from the Gulf. We seem to be getting a little more now and looks like the drought is over. Water tables are still low but the grass doesn't crunch when you walk across it and it's growing again.
