'moanin, Voltizens.

We had a quiet weekend and the weather was pretty nice. That, despite the prognosticators predictions of doom and gloom. Hermine is a problem, to be sure, and did do some substantial damage in Florida, but up here all it has produced is heavy seas and beach erosion. It's still a non-stop topic on every local news cast and a big topic on the national news casts. I guess that's the price we pay for needing to fill a 24/7 news cycle.

I did take Mrs. Awsum out for dinner on her birthday and we had an outstanding meal. Even had enough leftovers for a second meal as well. Other than that, nothing really going on here.

We did get some more puppy pics, too. The darker one, the one I like better (I think), is reported to be more active than the lighter colored one. He wanders around the whelping box, climbing over the other two quite a bit according to the breeder. My daughter also got a new puppy, a mini Labradoodle. It looks like a windup toy, cute as a button.

And "Messi" for the soccer star. He's about three months old -

Good morning Voltville.

It feels like fall this morning. It is a chilly 41 degrees and the high is predicted to be 85 degrees. We will still have nice warm days but nights are going cooler and the eighties is much nicer than the summertime temps.

We had a lovely overnight camping trip to Pickle Meadows. Good thing we showed up since our friend's truck had clutch problems. Hubby drove the problem truck home and I pulled their trailer. Cash was a pretty good camper although he insisted on sleeping inside my sleeping bag.

The trip was a good trial run for our big Grand Canyon trip coming up soon. We found out our pillows totally suck. We both had very sore necks. So I ordered two new camping pillows. I also realized that I didn't like the organization of my vape gear so I ordered a new vape gear bag. I love Amazon.

The horses are back to staying in the big pen. I went out there and Pony Baloney was running with his tail up like an Arab. So cute.

Hubby is working on the 4-runner back window. It is very stubborn and doesn't want to roll up. Gotta love the internet. He now has several ideas of how to fix it. It might be the relays. He is also going to work on my CV joints on the 4-runner. We need this vehicle to be running good for our trip.

Awsum, the puppies are so cute!! I cannot wait until you get one! Its just so exciting!

Dogs are so intelligent. Their senses are amazing. Through my experience they definitely sense a change in my tone, behavior, mood, and understand words. We have several nicknames for our 2, and they respond to every single one of them as well.

Wuzz, you and your wife are in my prayers.

'moanin, Volties, Ohmies, Ampies and Watties.

We're getting some rain today, so I'll be fooling around inside. Lots of stuff to load on my "new" smartphone. I am trying, hard, to like it but the small screen and tiny keyboard makes it kind of ho-hum to me. I'll probably drop the data plan eventually.

Here's a picture of "mommy". She weighs about 150 or so, hard to tell from the photo and she looks so serious because she's not with her pups. The small litter will make it easier on her though.

Wow! Look at her toes! I have never seen such distinguished toes on a dog. That is really cool. Is it a trait of the breed? She is a beautiful girl, and definitely stout!

Those are some cute furbabies!! I love dogs, and it makes me want another one :) We plan on getting a 3rd husky in a couple years :) and eventually a german rottweiler. One day we plan on getting a german rottweiler from a puppy. We loved our Ram so much, and we must get another one :)

Boerboels do seem to have distinctive feet, probably a result of their size. Actually, she's not stout but probably just about her "right" weight, say around 150 or so.

Good morning, Voltville.

I hope you like taking walks, awsum, since you seem to like the busy puppy best and he is adorable.

I have been looking and looking for large side fill tanks so I finally made a thread in "Where can I find?" and the good folks at ECF came through for me. I am so glad. Hope they work out for me. If they do I will buy more!

Yes, I have to work today and it is a four letter word. However, I do like having money.

The weather is gorgeous but will be in the mid-eighties.

Yeah, I like taking walks with the dog so that's not a problem. I plan on the policy of that commercial, "a tired dog is a good dog", LOL. Besides, there's a saying "if your dog is overweight, you're not getting enough exercise". Bo wasn't into playing fetch or catch or any of that kind of activity. His ACL repair had to be watched for over stress, a problem with his size. It even made walks with him get shorter and shorter as he got older. We started out at a mile, or more, three times a day. At the end, it was down to a quarter mile three times a day. I suspect the tumor in his chest also made it hard for him to walk a lot.

It was cloudy but with nice temps yesterday and the clouds broke around 10 this morning so now we have bright sunshine, a nice breeze and temps are supposed to get back into the 90's for the next few days. At least the humidity is in the bearable range, for now anyway.

I guess I'll work outside. I though I had trimmed off all the dead branches but there's still more. It's kind of like weeds, a never ending battle. That and general clean-up and maintenance will keep me busy.

I'm thinking those puppies should be opening their eyes soon. Usually at about 10 days, awsum.

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

Looks like I am following my friend to the shop this morning so she can get her A/C checked/fixed. We are going to breakfast and then do a bit of shopping. This evening I have the water meeting. I'll need to go by the shop to make sure we have the receipt book for the meeting. Kind of a busy day.
