That's some pretty good new, Lizzie! I wish you and DH the best.
I'm happy for Hubby since the psoriasis has been getting worse...nice to see it get better with medication.

There's nothing like a relaxing morning training your horses and having it go pretty smoothly. I'm so happy.

Glad your Husband is going to get help with the medicine. The cost of meds is out of control. Over $9,000.00 a month on my Bride. Even the co-pay would be rough without financial assistance from a foundation.

I know lots of people disagree with me but I don't understand how a place like the USA can't come up with a comprehensive plan to make sure people can get medical care for a reasonable price! People who are sick need medical care and are our fellow human beings and citizens.

Chilly outside at 31 degrees. I have another day off and I hope to spend some of it outside getting yard work done. Also, I want to continue working with the horses.

'afternoon, Voltaticalytes.

Lizzie, I'm glad that hubby is getting those meds taken care of. The health care system in this country is so messed up it make you wonder if it can ever be straightened out. We're arguing with the insurance company over test Mrs. Awsum just had. They "approved" less than 10% of a $1500 test fee.

We took a trip and visited a friend in VA, then on to SC to pick up the new puppy. We started out in Matinsville, VA, yesterday morning, drove to about 30 miles south of Florence, SC, then a non-stop (OK gas and "pit stops") back home. We got in at 2 this morning. Weird seeing the roads around here completely empty of traffic but at that hour....

Photos to follow once I download them from the camera and phone.

'moanin, Volties.

I got the photos off the camera and on to Photobucket but I'm having trouble with Photobucket and IE11. I can't get the links to copy. Apparently some changes have been made to Photobucket besides all the &$^&# popups and it doesn't play well with IE. So, I downloaded Firefox but now Photobucket is down for maintenance. Maybe later, I hope.

In the mean time, everybody have a great day!

That is why I tried Shutterfly.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

I'll let you know if FF works or not. PBucket is still down for maintenance, jeesh!

Shutterfly only puts up links and not an actual picture but I used it here and it did work...people saw the photos when they clicked.

Shutterfly downloads [or is that uploads] your photos way faster than Photobucket

I had problems, at times, viewing your photos on SF though so I'd like to stick with PB. I'll look and see if there's another freebee service out there as well 'cause PB is getting to be a PITA with the popups!

OK, I'm tired of waiting for PB so I'm trying FlickR, if it works anyway.

Here's the view off the back porch of our friends house when we got there Sunday afternoon -

Here's the same view on Wednesday morning when we left -

He is great, Lizzie, especially when he's asleep. He's like a baby and fights falling asleep giving his chew toys a hard time, then finally gives in and starts snoring. Yeah, he's snoring and dreaming already. Only one "accident" in the house so far today, too.

'moanin, Voltizens.

I babysat Leo last night so Mrs. Awsum could get a full night of sleep. He needs to go out every two or three hours to do his business. He sleeps in his crate and whines when he needs to go. He's asleep, again, at my feet right now.

Here's a shot of the Geo Tracker that serves as a work truck. Liz, our friend who owns the farm, swears by them as being super tough and small enough to maneuver around the rocks and narrow spots. With land that can be sold on both sides of the same acre the 4x4 and small size become important. The Geo also has enough ground clearance to ford the river to get to all the pastures.

That's Nakoda, a Dogue de Bordeaux, sitting in the drivers seat. She and Shep, a mixed bred who's a real gentlemen, came with us every time we went out to the cattle.

Here's a shot of "Liz's Livery" with Mrs. Awsum and two of the three horses she has. The one in the earlier photos lives up near the house in the main barn and is really her daughters' horse.

Here are some of the focus of all that land, hay and work. She has about 80 head at the moment plus about 30 or 40 new calves. I will say farming is non-stop hard work and I don't know how she does it all, even with the part time help she has.

And here is a shot of our hostess on her Honda quad. She uses that most of the time unless she needs to move multiple bags of feed or minerals. In this shot we're on top of a hill in the west pasture. It's about a two or three hundred foot steep slope down to the river below. The next morning we unrolled a roll of hay from there to give the cattle some extra feed, it's been dry there and the grass is kind of short.

While Leo has been napping I downloaded the photos off the phone.

Here are Liz and Mrs. Awsum talking about unrolling the hay and the problems that can present...if it doesn't unroll it'll take out the fence at the bottom of the hill. Note the mod in Lizs' hand. She loved the ERM+/DNA200 with RL-4. She only has Ego style batteries and mop head clearos at the moment, and the mop heads were a big improvement for her that we got at a vape shop on a trip to town. We left her a full 60ml bottle of RL-4 and I'm mixing some more to send her with a higher nic concentration.

Here's the roll of hay, unrolled. It doesn't look that long but it is easily 100 feet long when unrolled and about three or four inches thick. Liz has almost 1000 rolls for the winter and is looking for more.

Love the photos. What a nice place she has.

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

I have a bit of a cold. Totally unfair since I already had a cold at the end of September. Could feel worse but definitely could feel better. Blaming Hubby who brought the cold home with two days ago.
