Clones... Why?

this may be OT but I hate fiddling with switches and it seems to me no mech device has a foolproof button; real or clone....

that's why i stick with Neme's only... even with the magnets, they may be a tiny bit crunchy but at least they fire consistently.... and imo clone switches are always a crap shoot.... ymmv.

Try a GP Paps (real one, not a clone). I'm real picky on switches and so far the Paps is the best button I've used by far. Very short throw, smooth as a baby's .... and truly able to stand without locking no matter how heavy your atomizer is.
After the Paps I'm really debating selling my Nemesisesises

I personally am completely against clones...personally!

However my coworker who has less moolah than i cant afford $99 for an authentic KFL+....so i was glad to recommend him a reputable clone alternative if he wanted one based on others' reviews. So far no one i have recommended a clone to has bought one because they would rather have the real deal and have it vape like mine does, which is real. So that person is saving till he can afford the true item.

Another friend wont buy cheap china because of me tellin him most my stuff failed within a month, or his own stuff failing.

So ill never condone clone purchasing, but i also dont care because its a persons choice. Its deeply embedded in their psyche that way, whichever way it may be. Me personally i will never support counterfeiting thieves. But thats just me.

Just yesterday another coworker came up to me with his great new toy....an M16 sentinel clone. That thing felt like cheap plastic or aluminum. It had absolutely no weight to it. He thiught he got a great deal on it for $65...so he says yea im glad i got it, it feels worth it. I just wish he could know that hes getting duped for a truly subpar product. Sad...but i played along and said hey man, whatever works for yiu is whats important.


All the while im thinking....dude you got ripped off....

I respect this, a whole lot. While you personally don't agree with clones, you realize that it is a personal choice and didn't condemn or preach to others who didn't have your beliefs. I also respect the fact that you made your friends feel good about their purchase, and didn't rag on their choice nor did you try and make them feel guilty about buying a clone.

I wish more people would behave like this instead of worrying about what other people spend their money on. The important thing is that they aren't smoking and the device they bought is keeping them away from smokes.

I've tried them all jrs99... i've had Pap GP the newer ones and while very sophisticated I guess there's something about the Neme

...oh yeah; its the way the bottom switch snugs up to the batt and you don't have mess with the top pos pin to get a good batt fit.

Yeah I do agree with you on that. The way the bottom snugs up the batt is definitely one of the best designs I've seen. However I absolutely hate how many times you have to sit and crank the lock ring around to lock the switch. It's the reason my Nemesises sit unused for the most part.
The Paps button is still the best button I've come across and I think the battery snugging is supposed to be fixed with the GPin on the 3.0 versions.
I've already got some indentations on my batteries from the Paps 2.5 setup.
Out of all the mods I have I find my JGG and the Paps are the two that I carry and use the most. Third would be the 69 mod although I think the button on it is a POS.

I hear you for sure; there are quality factors in the Paps that can't be beat...
i never use my Neme locking ring it can take a pretty heavy atomizer and not fire while standing.
I don't usually take my tubes on the road though.... i take my sub ohms Reo grands for that....

I really want a Tree of Life, for no good reason; but I can't find one anywhere online (granted I did not spend a ton of time digging deep). I just found out that my contract up for renewal may only be at half what it was for the next few months, so suddenly money is an issue and I thought well, I'll just go take a look at the Infinite clone on FT since I've heard good things about it, and I'll decide from there whether to buy a genuine one if I like the clone, can find a real one, and money gets better.

But I just don't know if I can do it, because of that "USA" on the button. It just makes me feel doubly dirty for even considering it.

Don't sweat it.
If you took all the foreign made parts off a Harley Davidson it wouldn't start or run.
Same with a Chevy Corvette.
Still they pump "made in the USA" and wave the flag.
If its good enough for a " 'Murican Icon", you shouldn't feel guilty.

Well good sir i have an authentic tree of life mod i picked up from vaperev when they were still in prodcution. Im still sorta on the fence about selling it because it is a beautiful piece...

However i find myself playing with it instead of really vaping it. I just love the machining quality on it. Great stuff....but for me since i got my nemesis and other atmomixani products it seems to be collecting dust.

Ive been considerig throwing a Gp switch on it to see if it breathes new life....but so pricey!

Im receiving my new brass nemesis today...so imay not have use for it at all.

This point is moot now with the fda rulings. In two years only stuff on the markets will be one that were either before 2007 or get approval from the fda. Which we will all be pushing daisy by the time they do get approved. But just to follow the theme there are some clones out there better then the originals.
