Just took it off the charger. I'm not sure it charged all the way through. However tested again and I'm getting 5.3 volts. The battery was only half way when the problem occured though. I'm using a Samsung 20R. It seems the battery half way was going crazy? Not sure. I will charge it tomorrow in the office and check again.

That's almost there at 5.3 volts. Let us know how it works for you with a fully charged battery.

ok im glad mine isnt the only one that will change voltage. Another question: has anyone else experienced the dna board lighting up by itself? Mine will be on the desk and just light up on its own when i havent touched it for a while. It doesnt fire, the screen just lights up. Is this normal too? doesnt seem like it.

Yeah, that's normal too. Have no idea why but lots of people have reported this. Mine does it.

Unfortunate but seems to be normal for the Cloupor models.
BTW, mine haven't changed wattage setting since locking the wattage and that was quite a few weeks ago.

Hey guys. I received my cloupor dna 30 from elv8vape and I need to know what version it is. Screws are silver, paper warning inside battery compartment and stickers without logos. Is it v2 v3 or what?

Second I realized running on a 1 ohm origen, 30 watts is giving out only 4.5 volts. 23 watts is giving around 4.6 volts which is weird. Anything wrong with the chip? I used both an inline meter and a multimeter.

I've noticed similar strangeness. Set to 30 watts on 1.0 to 1.8 ohm coils I usually get an actual 27-28 watts , but sometimes less (23-24). Haven't isolated a cause yet.

One thing is for sure, the unit does conistently underpower, sometimes an amount that's negligible for me, sometimes too much. And currently my 1 ohm dual is giving me 5.2v so you're doing better than me :)

Is anyone using a dripper on their Cloupers? If so, how many coils and at what resistance? My kayfun lite works wonderfully on the Clouper at various resistances and coil builds, but a TOBH clone I picked up has been meh. I've tried a few different dual coil set ups and nothing seems to dial in right. I've got 32, 28 and 26 gauge coil on hand, right now I have a .8 ohm dual coil 26 gauge build, with like 10 wraps around a 1/8th screw driver and it just doesn't seem quite right.

I have a infinite magma 28 gauge wire dual coil at .8 ohm. I have wicks in the coils going into my wells and some extra cotton nested under my coils. Seems good to me between 25-30 watts. Don't know if that helps. Not sure the wattage you are using. Maybe crank it up if you are lower on the wattage. Don't use my RDA much even though I like it. Usually just vaping my Erlkonigin.

I've got a real DNA and a Cloupor. The low ohm 30 watts on the Cloupor doesn't have near the power of the real DNA. I don't have a meter but with the exact same dripper on both at 30 watts there's no comparison.

This certainly doesn't surprise me. Wish I could make the same statement. I have been waiting since the 19th for my RDNA to ship.

Best performance so far is dual 10 wraps of 30 gauge on 16 gauge needles for 1.0 ohm in the patriot. Gives me a real 5.2v when dialed to 30 watts. Fast heat up time and comparable performance to my standard mech vape which is dual 8 wraps on 16 gauge needles but using 28 gauge for ~ .520 ohms.

Btw reading this thread about quirks like the screen coming on. Mine has zero issues or quirks. I bought it at 101 Vape a month and a half to two months ago. It was the latest version.

Your one of the lucky ones. Mine came from the same place about the same time.

Thanks guys, figures, 30 gauge is the one gauge I don't have. I haven't been pushing the wattage to much, it seems to kill the battery. Right now on the 10 wrap 26 gauge coils at .8 ohms I'm sitting at 23 W and 4.2 Volts. Takes a moment or two to really heat up though. I was trying to get to the 1.2-1.5 range on a dual coil build so I didn't have to crank the watts so much for battery reasons.

Oh, and I have definitely had the screen pop on without touching it once in a while, and I also think the wattage changes a bit on me now and again.
