I got email from Cloudpor today!

Pls check the attached pic.
U sure the line was not broken?

If the answer is yes,Pls check the internal of the 510 connection .
There is a white rubber o-ring(pic attached).
When the white rubber o-ring was broken,it will show "shorted"
U just need to change a new o-ring.

Pls contact the retailer and ask him to get it from his sales rep.

Thanks for your purchse.

Warm regards,
Fiona

Ok so I took my Cloudpor apart... Lots of glue and resin inside mine couldn't tell what was going on. I put the shim back on the black grounding screw, put a battery in it said check atomizer... It was saying shorted before... Screwed my atty back on fired it with safety glasses (readers) on...
Guess what it fired!! Whoop!! I'm back to my great little girlie mod :)
I had since bought a used one from my nephew... Oh well, now I have a Cana for my KY Tugboat :)

Here's the inside of my Cana

I read on another site that the hana modz dna30 wraps dont fit on the cloupor cana modz. So do they fit? I think it will be the same measurements they just dont want them being used on the cana modz right?

I can't confirm that it fits or not I haven't bought one yet. But they do say "Cloupor DNA 30"

I have had mine break and contacted Cloupor and a few back and fore emails with making them a video of my mod for them they sent me a replacement, I still have my old one and everything. Here's there info :

Please feel free to contact us in the following ways, we must reply you within 24 hours!

Business support : info@cloupor.com

End-Users support : user@cloupor.com

After Service support : service@cloupor.com

thanks for posting that info! i emailed them about my dead red cloupor and, after a few exchanges, Alva agreed to replace it! i got it from fluid vapes. they only have a 7 day return, and that's it.

101vape, replaced a first rounder, with a second. and they replaced my orange one, when it dies, over 30 days, i might add.

i'm surprised, but pleased, that cloupor is stepping up! i'm totally baffled that they haven't advertised their customer service. who knows, maybe even herb would have bought one, if it came with a long warranty!

Did someone say long warranty ? May i ask how long . That may have pushed me over the edge . On another note what is causing them to die ?

not sure how long. here's what happened to mine:

blue: was a first round. stopped waking up, unless you press the up or down button. sent it back, just under 30 days, to 101vape. they issued refund on all but shipping.

orange: screen died! it still fired, but no idea what at. it was over 30 days. sent it back to 101vape, they sent me a new orange one.

red: died completely at just over 30 days. got it from fluid vapes. their response was "too bad, too sad".

just had a dead cloupor until i saw that post. all emails were returned w/in 24 hours. they are issuing me a refund of $75, and asked me to purchase the replacement from Elev8 vapes. this, i will do. and kind glad they gave the nod to Elev8. one of my silvers is from there. never had a problem with it.

everyone knows i have a lot of these, 7 working ones at the moment (got 2 black ones). i like them but do NOT recommend them. however, if cloupor will state a definitive policy on a warranty. i would then recommend to those people looking to step up from mvp2s., not serious drippers or builders. but they might be attracted to a nice warranty, as well!

Thanks for the info , i agree the warranty is not something most people know about because Cloupor really doesn't advertise it , i'm sure it would help with even more sales.

I guess you won't be buying from Fluid Vapes in the future , that would irk me big time.

i know it would help with sales. a lot of people like my cloupors, but i've been telling them not to buy them. if i knew how far cloupor would warranty these, i'd be telling folks its ok to buy them. its an awesome step up from a mvp2!

and no, i will never purchase anything again from fluid vapes! try buying something there. if you call them, they'll tell you the order should go out in a couple days. or whenever they feel like getting around to it!

I was told 3 month warranty when I bought mine. And it was on the direction sheet also.

The place I bought it off eBay. Brandons_one_stop_shop. I guess it could be a lie also. Wouldn't be the first time. I hope it's true.

Update on the performance.

So i set it to 17 watts with a 0.9 (0.95 maybe because multimeter is playing between 0.9 and 1.0 and my 510 ohmmeter showing 0.9). So display shows 4.2 volts but measured it is 3.92. Now it 3.92 at 0.9 ohms that gives 17 watts.

I increased it to 20 watts and same thing display is 4.4 volts but measured is 4.27 which also at 0.9 is 20 watts.

Now someone with electronics experience can help. Is it possible that the voltage calculated by the chip is accurate and delivered to the atty according to its actual resistance but the display voltage is calculated according to the displayed resistance? So display is showing 1 ohms, displayed voltage is showing 4.4 volts. But actual ohms is 0.9 and actual voltage is 4.27. Is it possible? Don't care much for display as long as it is calculating right voltage at the atty.

I'm not the guy with electronics experience that can help you, but i am the fellow vaper that envies you, because my unit does the opposite, e.g. displays the correct voltage, resistance, and under fires with the wrong voltage. Congrats you got a winner! ;)

just checking in. amazed this thread is still going!

......so after 2 months of (IMO) perfect performance my original cana 30 fried out :( while on vacation :( (I had brought my MVP and caravela clone as backup)
but I inquired with the vendor I purchased from, elev8 vape, and they were willing to exchange it.

details: was swapping out batteries (vtc4 on which I have labeled +/-), was screwing the batt door on when I noticed very thick smoke goming out of the other screw hole. the unit was very hot as I rapidly opened the door and pried out the battery. the battery was ok, but the led and all circuitry was fried and/or shorted. putting battery or spare back in made it continue to smoke with no attachment on or buttons pressed.

I am quite happy with the replacement. the finish is blasted instead of smooth, and the positive on 510 connection is much smaller. sadly there is a small gap when I screw in the kayfun. the magma sits in there flush though.

I received a replacement today via DHL from Cloupor in China after a bunch of email exchanges with them. I'm really impressed with Cloupor and their support. I've had my first generation for about four months and they made an exception to the ninety day warranty due to the fact I contacted my vendor in July and didn't receive any help. Had the mod came with Cloupor information I would've contacted them back in July too. My old one is still working it just suffers from many of the known issues the first generations had.

Replacement hasn't shown any of the issues that my first one has. It might take some time though, lol. Ohm reader is spot on. Screen hasn't turned itself on. One button press wakes and fires from sleep. Wattage setting hasn't changed without touching buttons. According to inline meter it's putting out less than one watt short of 30w at max power setting with various resistance coils. 510 pin is a smaller diameter. Better screws holding battery door. And it has a better paint/finish in my opinion.

It does seem to have a very slightly crooked 510 connection but it's nearly impossible to notice. If that's the only thing I find wrong over time then I'll be more than happy :)

Crooked 510 is a random thing. I fixed mine by slightly tapping it and re-checking. Now it is as good as it gets.

Anyone know if, on "the latest version" (with fixed 510 and sleep mode,) there is any battery charge protection?!

I got a plain white-paper note in mine that reads "***Please note when charging this mod, the LED screen will not notify you that it is charging. If you would like to know whether it is charging or not, simple unscrew the back of the MOD and you will see a red light glowing which means it is being charged. You will then notice that the battery indicator on your LED screen (when power on) fill sup after being fully charged."

So I'm NOT going to unscrew every time, that is freakin' dumb - if I was going to do that I would use my fancy charger, the point of the usb connection should be convenience. And I can see the faint red light through the small crack in the USB port...so its not really at issue. BUT that light never goes out, nor seems to change, ever.

SO...is it charging indefinitely? If I were to be reassured, by someone who knows (not assumes or guesses) then i'd feel better about leaving it overnight, which is by far the most convenient way for me to charge it.

Thanks in advance,
Bacon

P.S. I asked the supplier, they said they don't know for sure, and if I am concerned about it I should use my Nitecore charger. Well yea...but then a really nice feature of this thing just went up in smoke (pun.)
