I agree, thanks for your thoughts! I'm not sure of the margins on these guys, but I think it's safe to say that even with the best pricing going 101 is getting theirs.
Completely agree on the Protank / compatibility thing. You're a mod maker, and you make a device that is "Incompatible" with the most popular line of clearos of the last year? If I'm designing a regulated device, I'm testing it with things like Kanger and Aspire tanks before anything else. I'm sure it's been discussed, but I'm still not exactly sure what aspect of the connector made certain devices problematic on the early versions. But hey, if you're a vendor and a mod has some teething issues, it's on you to make them right. As owners we're all putting up with some things that are a bit wonky about these clones, and most of us (Myself included) are more than willing to do that because the overall quality and value are clearly there.
Completely agree also about the refurb device thing that is common in other areas like cell phones. Your new device fails through no fault of your own, and you end up in what I call "Refurb Hell," stuck with what was someone else's problem child. One of the main reasons I shifted to the unlocked/prepaid smartphone route there.
FWIW I wasn't complaining about the color thing, frankly just want a working mod and could care less about it. It just seemed strange that they would be getting shipments of these with no black ones, something that hasn't happened yet from what I've seen. I think it's more of a "We're going to throw whatever we have sitting here in a box, and you should be grateful we're even doing that." I'm happy they ultimately decided to stand behind the mod I bought, but I don't have to be happy about having to fight so hard to get them to do it.
As an aside, I got a note this morning OKing my replacement after their testing. And an invoice for $1.99 for the return shipping. SMH...

I use protanks on mine; just push the pin down a little. All these new mods and tanks should be made with adjustable connectors and/or floating pins.

I have no issues with the internal charger, and the green light comes on when charge is complete. Yes it's slow, but I'm starting to slow down also. A marrige made in heaven.

I'm not sure it's 101. I had one from another vendor and one directly from Cloupor and I think they all had something engraved inside the cover. I think it's Cloupor.
I just got mine yesterday. It's working great so far (fingers crossed). I was looking for wraps, but I just can't seem to justify spending almost $20 for a $0.25 piece of vinyl.
I had some 3M Di-Noc laying around and did a temporary freehand wrap, to hold me over until my dry black carbon fiber gets here. Again, please be nice, it's just a quick attempt (insert silly emoticon).

The one I just got is the newest version, and there are no markings. Not sure if it helps, but I got it from MBV.
