Sooooo last night outside of a bar a 15 year won a cloud chase comp. The owner of the B&M next door all what his setup was. A "super low ohm efest purp" was the kids word for word answer. ......I don't even.....

And this is what gives vaping a bad name. Sigh I'm sad to hear this.

SO many things about this post are disturbing & raise a lot of questions in my head.

A 15 yr old outside a bar? A B&M next door?
So who hosted the CCC- the bar or B&M?

How did it come out how old this person is?
Did you know him or just come out & ask how old are you cause he looked so young?

And at what point was his age determined?
Before? After? the competition.

Just as many online sites are requiring age verification to enter I think B&M's should be accountable in that regard as well.
Show ID to make a purchase which makes me wonder where exactly he got his "super low ohm efest purp"? :?:

The kid is older looking he could easily pass for 18 or 19 I know his older sibling.

The location is considered midtown there's a few bars and places to eat along with a smoke shop or two. The b&m held the competition and when it got to cloudy inside they decided to move it out back. I don't know where the kid got the stuff his older brother didn't know he vaped but doesn't live with him anymore. But I'm assuming he got his " super low ohm efest purp" at the exact place he won the cloud competition. This is also the same b&m I refuse to shop at because when you walk in you can't see and the employees are too busy using shelf items to blow clouds.

In my opinion, this is when CCCs are bad for vaping. Someone earlier compared it to racing cars at the track. At the track your car has to pass inspection and so does the driver. The mod and the vapor should as well.

It doesn't matter what people do with vaping, we could be hurting each other or not hurting anyone, the only thing that truly matters to anyone in any place of power is money. If they can pretend that they are trying to help someone than all the better. I can see that if some idiot where to somehow manage to hurt themselves it could make it a little easier for someone to spread disinformation but that is how everything in life is.

Don't blame cloud chasers. Blame the corrupt and awful individuals that only care about monetary gain.

Do you know if that kid had ever smoked or if he currently does? If so, I say the hell with it. And if he had smoked or still does, even though he technically should not have been able to buy vape gear (or actual tobacco products), I think anyone that is a smoker should be free to vape, whether blowing clouds or not.

Now, if he hadn't ever smoked, then in my opinion that's kind of a different topic altogether, especially considering his age.

i Hadn't actually wondered if he smoked to be honest. I didn't think to ask. Given his history it wouldn't surprise me at all but if he did his family doesn't know it.

Thinking about it like that we're on the same page under 18 or not better to vape then smoke. I just think he should probably be a little more discreet with how he goes about it. But if he wasn't as smoker then it's a different story.

Yeah, we don't want underage vapers to be the ones out there advertising gear and the lifestyle; however, if it brings more their age or even older to try vaping instead of continuing to smoke, many of the inherent negatives kinda wash away. Having said that, I am not advocating for minors to vape, but if they consume tobacco products, to rid them of that (if they want to be rid of it) then vaping should be on the table with the rest of the alternatives/cessations.

I really can't imagine many teens who smoke are trying to quit smoking by vaping. They probably just vape to be cool or blow clouds and get their nic buzz in school without getting caught...

Yup ... I can honestly see our future cloud chasing youth bring the whole vaping industry to its knees pretty fast.

I think back to when I was a 14 year old kid smoking cigarettes ... fast forward to today and I would be chucking the biggest vape clouds anyone ever saw.

And I would even be doing it on buses and elevators.

IMO, we are in for a rocky road with our youth and cloud chasing.

There's obviously not a real problem with smoking between 12 and 18. The alleged problem comes with idea that after starting at age 13 and continuing as abusive smoker through age 33 are you then able to stop or cut down? Cause chances are decent that around 33 you'll experience health issues that show cigarette smoking can take a toll on the human body, especially (and perhaps only) if you are an abusive smoker.

With vaping in the picture, the real chance for abuse goes down. Every vaper knows this. Every ANTZ influenced non-vaper either doubts this or attempts to argue that vaping is possibly much more harmful to the human body that smoking 20 cigarettes a day for years and years.

We may not like the idea of minors vaping, In fact we may loathe the political reality that minors are vaping and how it could have impact on the politics for adults and vaping. But kids are going to vape, and really no matter what adults say/do, but especially if adults do vape and enjoy it and perhaps even more so if adults say no junior, you cannot vape. Really? "I bet I can."

What some adults want is: don't do it, because I said so, but if you do do it (wink wink), then don't get caught. For the love of adult vaping, please don't get caught!

Cloud competitions turn that on its ear, and send some adults into a tizzy fit. So much so that these same adults forget, momentarily, all the ridiculous risky things they did at that age. (Blowing clouds from some electronic device back in the day would've been seen as lame, or the type of thing that would get one labeled a NERD!)

Reality is: Cloud competitions could stop tomorrow everywhere. Heck, for sake of argument, let's just say no more minors anywhere on the planet are vaping any more and never will again. Then let's come back to reality. Which is:

Vaping will face an uphill battle that is very rocky, politically speaking, for as long as there is an ANTZ type person living and breathing air.
