Were there many competitions for analog clouds?

Hobbyists are enjoying their hobby with one another and having a friendly competition without bothering or harming anyone. Who cares if they are having cloud contests. Is this harming or effecting you in anyway? You remind me of those old people in home owners associations who have nothing better to do but to complain about what others are doing.
If people are doing something legally and not disturbing others, let them be.
Don't know how it is in the US but in the UK most cloud chasers are not former smokers but people getting into "clouding" as the new thing and is playing into the hands of those who claim over here that ecigs are encouraging people to take up something they wouldn't of otherwise. Personally if vaping had been legislated and we all knew where we stood I couldn't care less what people do but vaping isn't certain for a lot of people so some care is needed. After all did any of us have "who can blow the biggest smoke" competitions when we smoked.

if and on till these extreme vaping competitions start getting inline with
organisations such as NASCAR and the hundreds of other organisations
for what ever competition, they will be dogged for not having any set rules and regulations.
if they can't or won't do it themselves,govment will do it for them.
the very reason you can can get a license for flying.parachuting and scuba diving is because these groups
made there own rules when it became apparent that the govment was going to stick their noses
in it.

Lol, I apologized for that comment but since you seem to be offended by everything I said I will apologize to you too, sorry. My whole rant is the fact that there is a competition to begin with. I mean, don't you have anything better to do? I know if I told my wife that I had to build the best coil ever so I could go to the local b&m to have a "cloud competition" with some kids, forget what she would say or do, you realize how ridiculous that sounds? Hey man, you wanna go hang out and do yadayadayada. Nah man, I got a cloud comp that I have been preparing all week for. .... But then again, to each his own right?
That's true; alot of the innovations that the manufactures do are guided by what comes out of the cloud chasing, just as with the earlier days of cars, alot of the developments were guided by what came out of the racetrack.
Seeing people play COD/Other games for cash that alone behooves me to say, if they wanna cloud comp let them. It's their free time and isn't there more important stuff to worry/be upset about?

And btw, I've never been to any cloud competition. I'm just tired of people like you sticking their nose in other people's business and passing judgement.
I too think the competitions are silly but too each their own. I don't begrudge people what they feel like turning into a competition. It's really no sillier than competitive dog shows, card tournaments or any other hobby that gets turned into a form of competition. Sometimes it's just better to keep opinions to one's self.

Actually no, I am at work and bored as hell so I thought I would get some people spooled up.
Haha I don't know but if there isn't someone could have a pretty funny marketing campaign for it.
Personally, I'm waiting for the wii version of cloud chasing so my juice will last longer
