Same here, Shamokin PA, and most of my male ancestors died from the coal mines in one way or another. The backs and lungs of immigrants helped fuel the American Industrial Revolution.
That's right and we owe it to them to help out. We should help anyone who helped build or protect this country. I think WW2 vets were the last to see any benefits for what they had done. The GI Bill for instance. What about gratitude for all the others? Let's get a real grip on reality. Only We the People can make America great, not some fancy politicians. There I go on my soapbox again:2c:

Heather MacDonald wrote in the WSJ Friday about drugs and homelessness in San Francisco.
As part of that piece, she points out the Health Department distributes 4.5 million syringes per year along with alcohol swabs and vitamin C to dissolve certain substances. Also provided are instructions on how to tie ones arm in advance of the syringe. There are also needle disposal boxes provided at various places to deposit needles that don't wind up in the gutter. She muses all of this signals to children that it is all normal.
Her article says nothing about vaping, but you have to admit it is fairly amazing these same people banned flavors as a threat to the very same children.

Hypocrisy is the most abundant resource in DC.

OK, now that we have thought about "We vape and we vote", who are we voting for that will keep vaping legal? Any answers? Anyone?
Libertarians, vaping industry condemn Trump vaping ban ...

When you sign up to become a member of the Libertarian Party on this page, not only do you get the “I Vape, I Vote” T-shirt, but we will also notify your Congressperson and Senators with the following message:

“We wanted to let you know that a person living in your district just joined the Libertarian Party, made a financial commitment and pledged to vote for candidates who support vaping. Please do not support prohibition.”

Can you imagine the impact if your congressman got that notification 10 times? Politicians may not be smart, but they count votes and they count money! What better way to get their attention than joining the Libertarian party and proudly wearing your “I Vape I Vote” shirt!

OK, there's a party to vote for. How many elections have they won in the past?
Don't be such a Negative Nancy.

Considering how few votes that Trump won by in the last presidential election, and how close the upcoming election will likely be, if vapers rally together and single issue vote we could really make this election interesting. What do you have to lose?

Your other choices will be either a far left socialist or a far right ego maniac. Why not consider a middle of the road Libritarian?

I'm not a single issue voter. And I am libertarian on some issues. Personally. I'd like to see party politics banned.

And many don't consider Libertarian middle of the road. Like the other parties, they have their moderate stances and they have their extreme stances.

Libertarians are on the extreme right of the spectrum, whatever that means. But yeah, I'm not negating your point that platform points vary. Libertarian Neoliberals are usually considered far from moderate.
They’re extreme left on some issues too.

Very true.
The problem is one of the other parties hates us, the other could not care less.
If the libertarians can peel off enough votes to gobble up the victory margin for one, even if they don't win, we have an impact.
Otherwise we just sit here and watch it happen.
If there is no consequence, they will not care.
If the rumbling gets loud enough, and they think their margin is in trouble, maybe they will start caring.
If there is another way that would work, we are all ears.
