The Deeming will probably kick in before the flavor ban. It will be like shooting a dead person.

I had Hoped that we would go into the PMTA Phase without a Ban on All Flavors. Because it just Raises the Already High Bar to a Stratospheric Level that a Flavored e-liquid could be Approved.

They Just Don't Get Tired of Kicking something that has gotten Hundreds of Thousands of People off Cigarettes though.

@bombastinator it has nothing to do with like, your training. It's a mindset issue. When you work for the CDC like, you NEED the mind set of "fact is fact" and I don't think it's there right now.

Like; When I graduated with my college degree in Engl/Phil I actually went into the biotech field (this was before my brain broke) and I know a LOT of bio but by no means EVERYTHING. What I enjoyed was the PROCESS and being a technician. Accuracy helps and I was consistently the top number 1 gene sequencer of ALL of them because at that time in my life, I was very methodical and precise.

The company wanted to pay for my education (up to PhD) because they wanted me to be a researcher for them, not a technician. I suppose my last name (my d dad is somewhat famous) and I am certainly able to conduct experiments and I'm sure I would have done fine, moved up the ladder, made massive dough nd etc..

But. I didn't really want to and then I had the kid so I became a maid. I could bring him with. I was methodical about that too you could expect toilets to sparkle in the most efficient way possible

What I like best are puzzles though, those that can be mended, can be tweaked, and improved. My very favorite puzzle of all are FAMILIES, they are endless in variety..

I picked the right profession for my brain set, logical, understands puzzles ,how to disrupt puzzles and how to detonate a bomb at just the right time. | don't like to boast, but like, if necessary I will LITERALLY get down on the floor and bark like a dog if needed. Families FREAK usually happily. (They
are like, oh, I'm not alone in this."

The best family therapists are rapid analyzers followed by performance artists. They have planned the performance although it gets easier.

It's not all training. Almost everything I learned in SW school other than some helpful models and techniques I learned by going bonkers first .By watching the staff I loved, and the staff I hated. It's better to be loved. But yes, CDC for you!

it might be too much there. Myopia combined with wishful thinking and a push or two from places that shouldn’t be pushing.

Isn’t Glantz also at UCSF?

The new study is not from SF--it's from S. Dakota, and it actually contradicts Glantz's 2018 "study."

"Earlier research, such as a 2018 study from the University of California, San Francisco, linked vaping to "established cigarette smoking" in adolescents. But the new study has a simple explanation for that apparent link: People who tend to vape may just be more similar to those who tend to smoke."

"Arielle Selya, the study's lead author and an assistant scientist at Sanford Health in South Dakota, said her research undermines the "gateway hypothesis" that vaping leads to smoking."

We might even be able to figure out what women really want.
you think Einstein could? As far as I remember, in his hometown he was famous for not being able to put on an appropriate to the current weather set of clothes without help.

Plainwell Schools considers drug testing students
is it even legal? what if a student refuse to be tested?
from the other side, how do they expect to have musicals with sober and drug free students participating?

It seem the districts that have done this all made it a requirement for participation in extracurricular activities rather than simply attending school. I would suppose they've gotten legal advice to the effect of: You can do it that way, but you can't require it of everyone.

I know when I was teaching kids were required to be randomly drug test for ANY extracurricular activity. Back then it didn't include nicotine but really as the modern narrative has evolved over the years I am not surprised it is being included now.

I know my husband who has been given teacher inservices where they are taught to recognize vape gear and "vaping behavior" (read that as stealth vaping) among students. He asked the cop if he would like further instruction on vaping after years of watching me LOL

It just keeps getting More and More convoluted...

She [Conway] also said the Department of Health and Human Services has jurisdiction over e-cigarettes but not over vaping and vape shops, though the terms are often used interchangeably. The Food and Drug Administration is expected to issue guidance on the policy this week.

National Call to Action - Light up the White House Switchboard

The White House needs to hear from adult vapers and anyone who loves a vaper! A flavor ban won’t protect our children, but it will kill their parents.

    We need to

    On your call:
    • The operator will likely ask where they can direct your call
    • Simply tell them that flavored vapor products saved your life,
    • Tobacco and Menthol aren't enough to save small businesses or help people quit smoking; and,
    • tell them “We Vape, We Vote.
Be polite, be brief, and say thank you.

Well that would be nice, wouldn't it.

    Anna

But when Conway say's "Vaping" and or "Vape Shops", does that mean she is Referring to Using Nicotine via an e-Cigarette and Shops that Sell these products?

Or does she mean Using THC in a Liquid form and the subsequent Shops that sell that Product?

I think she clearly means nicotine eliquids.
Speaking at the White House on Wednesday, Conway drew a line between two groups of flavors -- tobacco and menthol on one side, and mint, fruit and all other flavors on the other. The latter group appeals to kids and the White House must address use by minors, she said.

Besides, marijuana is only legal in a few states, not nationally, so she can't be endorsing or even discussing that.

Most of the Marijuana oil/concentrate whatever has been unflavored.

The smell and taste of a fine marijuana product is prized by MJ enthusiasts rather like cigars.

They is often lots of talk of "skunk' and "dank" and "sweet" and trust me, they aren't going to shove a bunch of cherry flavoring in it.

Also....After sampling a fair number of edibles (after my implant surgery and yes a the time I got a card) well, the taste of MJ is just undisguisable.. You are better of NOT trying.

This is Why it is So Convoluted.

"She [Conway] also said the Department of Health and Human Services has jurisdiction over e-cigarettes but not over vaping and vape shops, though the terms are often used interchangeably."

Because if she Is referring to e-Liquids that contain Nicotine, HHS thru the FDA Does have Jurisdiction over them. Because they have been Deemed a Tobacco Product.

I wish for Once we could get a Statement from someone in Government that Doesn't use Slang or Subjective Terms. Just tell us what the :censored: you going to do. Just hit us with the Truth and leave the Campaign type Double Speak at the door.

Anyway... I guess we will know soon. Because FDA is supposed to Issue a Formal Statement on this Ban this week.

They are swarming Arizona too. We hope to find a couple of loopy Californians to buy our property (this is because it has a permanent (unless you bulldoze it) I mile labyrinth on the property not to mention a bunch of sidrarals.

They will need little signs for the buyers saying stuff like "This is a Cristian based Indian infused symbol for happiness it's not Satanic or anything."

We are safe from the invasion in Douglas. I sure wish Agua Pieta would simmer the hell down, I want to visit. LOL

PLEASE Californians, STAY in California. Do not move to my beloved Texas and try to mold it into the blank-hole that you made of your own state.

I'm Not Sure I would want to move to a State where everyone believes that everyone in California is Aligned with the views that come out of San Francisco?

But I guess that would be Silly to think that Everyone in a state felt that way. Because it would be the Same type of Stereotypical thinking as to say everyone in Texas uses Skoal and drives a Pickup Truck with a Gun Rack.

    Just say'n ya all.
