We all have read other studies and I'm not searching to post garbage we all know is out there. 1 study does not prove the blanket statement of AT LEAST. The CDC was saying vaping is more dangerous than smoking. That fortunately is changing as more info that most vapers understood is being proven. The point being I don't believe the UK study is the absolute definitive study just as I don't believe the CDC about anything.

So, BH is wrong because garbage studies say so?

True, vaping is so new there can be no real long term studies. All we have are shorter term ones, and only a few of those don't have an agenda. So maybe "about" 95% less harmful would make you happy?

Still no reason to insult other members.

We have a library on ECF with a great amount of knowledge, very few people know it's there or use it.
Want to know what in nic is additive, it's there, studies on nic use it's there.
I laugh (and cry) every time someone comes up with how additive nic is, Nicotine by itself is not additive, this was common knowledge on ECF a few years ago.
Take a read, it's surprising how much we have forgotten!
WTA Refill Liquids
I'm not getting a link here. I'd like to read this article and know more generally how to find the library. Thanks

Where did I say BH is wrong? 1 study says 95% less harmful. Ok. Other studies don't agree with that number. I can agree with vaping being less harmful than smoking cigarettes. I don't agree with 95% less harmful and I definitely don't agree with AT LEAST 95% less harmful based on other studies. What that percentage is has really not been definitely determined and probably never will be. All the studies do show vaping is less harmful so "less harmful" would be a true statement. The percentage of less harmful has not been proven. UP TO 95% would be correct statement based on studies. AT LEAST 95% is a lie based on studies.

The irony is the head of the city council, Corey Johnson, stopped smoking with a Juul. He likes the tobacco and mint flavored ones. His reaction to the ban was he didn't know what he'd do when he can't buy them in NYC, but its the right thing to do for the children.

Interesting, he covered all the bases, appeasing the nannies while providing some sympathy for the quitters. I love those who stand for nothing ... except their own re-election.

The sad thing is, too many people will only hear the part that appeals/applies to them. *POOF*, you’re re-elected by people who don’t agree with half of what you “stand” for. Oof

Are 'vaping' and 'e-cigarettes' the same?
Although more testing is needed, vitamin E acetate appears to be much more common in products that contain THC. Those in the legal marijuana industry say vitamin E acetate is used on the marijuana black market to stretch the THC oil in e-cigarettes because it has a similar appearance and is much cheaper.
One recent report found that among EVALI patients in Utah, 17 out of 19 (89%) of THC-containing products had vitamin E acetate, whereas 0 out of 20 (0%) of nicotine-containing products had it.

Okay, we are now closing on nine months since this "epidemic" begin. And it is simply impossible to believe the CDC has NOT TESTED collected samples for vitamin E acetate. Yet the CDC withholds critical information that nicotine vapers need to protect their lives and health. It is time NOW for the CDC to publicly identify which nicotine vape products were found to contain vitamin E acetate. Not revealing this information is UNACCEPTABLE and a danger to public health.

[don't we know the answer is none, or only if commingled with THC...]

CORRECTION: Obtusely worded by the CDC but seems they did make this statement yesterday. Dr Siegel summaries as, "none of the nicotine-containing e-liquids was found to contain vitamin E acetate oil or any other toxicant of concern."

Odd that such a significant finding is not widely covered by mass media.

Amazing how much better this thread looks when you "ignore" the noise.

Ohh my, how true. One other side effect is that often there is little left to read.
This is one of the more chippier threads around. Reminds me of the old clone war threads.

I've had only a few needing that treatment to keep my ECF experience enjoyable. Shills, full page photobombers, pot stirrers and misguided know it alls. Only eight in total that are still here and active.

If I had a dog, Mike, it would whup yours at least 96% of the time. So there.:D

I'm wondering if many of us have gotten numb to the deeming while all this short term distraction about flavors wastes our time. Nothing I've seen suggests that anything will change for the better before May arrives.

So, because I can answer "I am all of the above", I can say anything I want and you won't even know? Ohh, the power!
The Force is with me.

OK, so there's so many threads IDK where to put this, I'm putting it here for a "catch all". Even though it's not specifically deeming, the state is still recommending avoiding all e-cigs. That's kind of a "deeming" of sorts from MDHHS. Further, they're not releasing any details, like if THC was used.

Pretty ridiculous, as the state just banned all marijuana cartridges last Friday until they retest samples from dispensaries. They clearly know what's really wrong but are continuing with their appeal to reinstate the flavor ban too. We will never lose the stain of those tainted THC cartridges. Pitiful.

"Democracy dies in darkness".

I mean, how can we as a voting public make decisions when we don't get information?

I suppose it is possible that they don't have the information, so it's all a big ????? to them. So I guess I have to be fair. They should go get it though. Like testing for THC use.

I suppose now there will be an autopsy. So maybe more info to follow.
