When I first read your post I thought you quoted the joe and camel toe post until I read the quote.
This. Not to get too "political" nor "OUTSIDE! ish" but this IS a political issue. It's unavoidable.
So my, and it's probably not even worth that much, is as follows:
The GOP is mouthing "working man" rhetoric, but in the reality of it all, they won't protect e-cigs well either. This legislation has been pending through both Dem and Rep administrations, and it's about big-corporate money. And the GOP sells out to them just as much as the Dems (who are supposed to be countering the corporate-controled big-business narrative).
So in this next administration, Biden will sell out to the corporate interests just as much as Trump failed to stop them. In the end, we're darned if we do, and darned if we don't.
And it's really quite sad. It's literally an Oligarchy, and all the politician's lips are moving....BT wins because it has the connections and can afford to win. It was over years ago, it's all just unfolding over time.

I don't trust BT juice either, no idea what they'll put in their "tobacco product".
Things have changed. One can no longer talk in terms of Dems and Repubs and reflect the actual reality that exists now. There are 'Trump' Repubs and McCain-types Romney/Kasich/S. Collins etc. Repubs.
When CNN says there's "bipartisan support" for something anti-Trump, that's All Dems plus Romney, Murkowsky, Collins and perhaps Sasse.
The Trump Repubs not only 'mouth' but supported with actions, working people. The never-Trumpers only 'mouth' that. And the biggest corporate businesses, mainly Big Tech, and most of Wall Street, and Media own, or Are, the Democrat party.
I'm moving back to my hole in the OUTSIDE where you may pursue that discussion and try to support various opinions/assertions further if you dare.
Point being, in the nutshell, we're screwed either way, in terms of e-cig regs. I don't see this train stopping anytime soon.

The Outside is a perfect reflection of today's social media, mainstream media, secondary and higher education, entertainment - sports and Hollywood, where certain viewpoints are banned (as am I for years now), and where bullies rule the day. Your adding 'if you dare' only reflects that.

Actually, it not only wasn't intended to, but I've been on the same receiving end as others of the non-cartel. I've managed not to be banned, but it's been close. And politically I'm neither really right-wing nor left-wing. And argue quite frequently with all sides.
It's true that most of the conservative element of today's world has fled the outside, bullied I'd say. But they also dished a lot out too.

Some 'dished it out', but nowhere near what the other side did. I was likely banned for posting gifs of a shark 'feeding frensy' and some scenes from Clockwork Orange.. to illustrate the point. The "Where's Kent' thread in the Veteran forum was started from my first ban
It's been awhile since I posted there, but can count at least ten from the right or libertarians that were banned permanently (some fled, out of the idea it might effect their participation on ecf in general - as unlike the core Left there, they post in other forums) and I know of no one from the other side that were permanently banned. But again, that was 'then'.
I know you've been fair here and elsewhere, and it's appreciated.
Some of you are taking too hard of a look on the other side of the political discussion line. Let's reign it back in folks.
I’d rather see term limits for Congress first...
It’s not that I’m against term limits for Supreme Court Justices...but those 9 people don’t have nearly the same impact as the 535 people who have only their own interests in mind.
Congress members are ELECTED as servants of the people, and yet they stay in office for decades, while doing literally nothing but lining their own pockets and enriching their own families.

I remember not long ago the rule was there was zero tolerance for drug talk on this platform. Absolutely not tolerated in any way, shape, or form direct or implied. Now there are ads constantly flashing on my screen for marijuana, bongs, etc...
