"Schumer said that juul may be even more dangerous than conventional smoking because one “pod” promises the amount of nicotine equal to an entire pack of conventional cigarettes."
I have now. Thanks Opinionated-- I think. That Schumer is really something. I hate to say it, but lately every time I see a politician I think, "Time for that person to die." I don't think of DOING anything to make it happen, but my auto-gag reflex is back. I mean, I don't mean to wish ill of anyone, but there is just SO MUCH ABOUT POLITICANS that deserves ill-will at the moment.
I really think our best bet is a lottery with no special interest groups or lobbyists. Everyone would have to care, because they'd be inflicting their laws on themselves once they return to their non-political job, and then they have to live with the consequences. NO SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS either, politicians are not known for their speaking abilities, or their abilities to adhere to fiscal responsibility, logic, or sanity. I don't expect a lottery to change that (much) it just would be a little harder to get, you know, entrenched. Also, ALL the mentally ill, addicted, and impaired are INCLUDED in the lottery, you know, we have to get along with these people in Real Life.
I'd go down the road of wealth distribution, I really would, except that.... That's kind of behaving Just Like Politicians Today, so I'm against it.

If the deeming ever serves any purpose historically, it should be used as a glaring example of the danger in an unchecked federal agencies power as a runaway train.
Chuck Schumer said:...demands the FDA smoke out dangerous e-cigs and their mystery chemicals...

They are only a mystery to YOU Chuck.
Any normal sane person would thus assume that 1 pod would last as long as 1 pack. Only an insane person would take that to mean people will vape a whole pod in one sitting, thus being like they smoked a whole pack.
Flavored alcohol can remain on the market indefinitely despite the fact it harms more kids and teens than even cigarettes?!?!? Tell me again, just how much money New York is making off the back of Big Tobacco both from tobacco taxes as well as the Tobacco Settlement? Yeah no conflict of interest here or anything.
I'm done, I can't read any more babbling by this buffoon. Even if someone were to give him a clue he would just lose it and still be clueless.
Teens and young adults have turned to vaping as an alternative.
What I find hilarious, is that they are always on about the dangers of e cigarettes and never look at the facts surrounding shisha..

One 45-60 minute session smoking shisha is equivalent to a pack of cigarettes plus it comes in the most lovely flavors. . Yet, no one says boo about shisha bars in this country
That's where Chuck S. takes his dates.... a shisha bar.
I always thought they were ignored because they were an Indian/middle eastern thing, and no sane politician wants to touch that with a five hundred foot pole, but I could be entirely wrong on that, since I always thought that hookahs were the Most Disgusting Thing Ever and not worthy of smoking. I'm not kidding, were I alone with a bunch of loaded hookahs in the whole world, I would be highly unlikely to smoke that thing.
That might be the best quitting smoking method ever-- the hookah, the Thing So Disgusting you Literally Can't Smoke it. It only works if you remove all other nicotine and tobacco delivery methods. Maybe that's why they are being ignored, the Pols can point at them and go, "You said you wanted harm reduction-- here it is!"
Don't mind me, but yes, I do partially believe SOME of this.

Modern day hippies (whom often call themselves progressives) frequently attend these bars as well.
Old timer hippies used to love Hookahs as well, although I dont think I ever heard of "shisha" back then.Modern day hippies (whom often call themselves progressives) frequently attend these bars as well.

Ohhhh, tobacco, well that explains why I never knew the term back then.....It depends where a person is from what they will call it. . Shisha just means glass and is technically referring to a part of the pipe which is smoked from, but in slang just came to mean the whole of smoking tobacco from a pipe.

I've never been to a shisha bar in the US. But, when I was living in London a few years ago, there were a bunch in middle eastern neighborhoods, and they were partly outside on sidewalk tables.
I often walked by on the way to whatever. Gotta say, the aroma was wonderful. Not at all like cigs or cigars or "western" pipe tobacco. It was a fruity fragrance. I shoulda tried it.
