Not sure if anyone has noticed, but former GOP Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, is always undertaking health-related causes. His latest is fighting opioid addiction through medication (teaming up with a Democrat, Patrick Kennedy). Apparently, these medications are quite effective in allowing addicts to wean off their addiction instead of using cold turkey methods which have a lower success rate. Sound familiar? I don't want this to be about opioids because we get off track and break ECF rules so please do not reply about this Gingrich initiative. Instead, for you writers, hit Newt up on his Facebook page about the merits of vaping. mention A Billion Lives...encourage him to watch it. He will relate BIG TIME! Trust me! This is right in his wheelhouse. When he sees a chance to literally save millions and millions of lives that is being thwarted by bureaucrats he WILL notice. He hates bureaucrats! It would be nice to have him on our side (especially since he's a VP candidate). I'm trying to find a logical place to write him (still looking) but I know he is very active on Facebook. I don't do Facebook but this is probably the best chance at getting him to listen to our message. So have at it Facebookers!

Newt Gingrich

I always liked the story of how Franklin walked from Boston to Philadelphia at the age of 17, and arrived with nothing but a loaf of bead in his pocket. Six years later he owned the biggest newspaper in the colonies ... :2cool:

A gifted writer, scientist, politician, ambassador, and world-class philanderer. You gotta like that guy ...
If it wasn't for him courting the ladies in France they would never have backed the revolution and doubtful that we could have won if they didn't.

I'm not sure where things are going next in Indiana?
With Hoosier relocating to Ohio, I am sure they would still have preferred to see a victory. I wonder how many other shops are able/willing to do that? It makes no sense at all that Indiana is chasing off small businesses or any business for that matter.

It looks Entirely by Design if you Ask Me.

A Colluded Monopoly implement via State Legislations.

Totally agree, but why? Appears to me that they are cutting off their nose to spite their face. Even if they feel strongly that they are right. They are not, imo, but it will end up costing them in the long run.

That's the Problem with Many Legislators. They Don't Care.

They have No Problems throwing a small percentage of the population Under the Bus in order to "Save Us from Ourselves". And if a Majority Senate Leader can make a Few Bucks in the Process, more the Better.

If The Deeming becomes enacted as is, and at some point vaping is found to be 100% harmless, maybe even beneficial (certainly not a stretch), could the FDA's regulations be changed or eliminated? IOW, are these regulations, once enacted, written in stone?

This was One of the Key Questions that Sen. Johnson asked the FDA. Something that the FDA would like to Not have to answer. Because it Paints the FDA into a corner.

If they say No, then it would go against that Trumped Up BS that they Spew about promoting Public Health.

And if they say Yes, then someone is Going to hit them with UK Health Studies and The Royal Academy of Physicians recent findings.

Finally, doctors promoting ecigs for harm reduction.

WOW. This is great news. I particularly like this
"So why am I writing this now? Slightly reluctantly I went to speak at the Global Forum on Nicotine in Warsaw and had my eyes firmly opened. The first evening began with a film by Aaron Biebert “A Billion Lives”, well worth watching and the next morning was a meeting to discuss the case for an international organisation to represent the interests of nicotine consumers. What struck me was the absolute passion and compassion of these consumers and the enormous struggle that was ahead. I was to be shown evidence of politicians and most sadly for me doctors and other health professionals speaking falsehoods, not looking at the evidence and instead taking a dogmatic stance."

Why would they need to change anything? If a tobacco product can be proven to be lower risk(or even beneficial), the manufacturer of that product simply needs to pursue a Modified Risk Tobacco Product marketing application.

I wonder How Many Modified Risk approvals the FDA has issued lately? And I Wonder how much it would Cost to do one?

Well, the last one, that has still yet to be approved, included 30 years of research and supporting evidence, so it might take some time.
