Bronze, it's folks like you whom I really feel for with all this mess before us. You shouldn't have to give up the things you found that helped you, and that you enjoy, on your path away from the smoke. This is the crux of the injustice before us. This grass roots industry latched onto a seemingly benign method of replacing the harm that tobacco was in our lives, and did so without any government interference, till the FDA god a bug up their britches and decided to upset the apple cart. It is truly unfortunate that we are seeing our trusted vendors struggling and going by the wayside, and wondering how many folks which relied on their products and services will be left in the lurch.

Nobody should have to learn to DIY and stockpile an unknown amount of things to keep enjoying their freedom from tobacco harm. It reminds me of an old Tareyton add

I fought these politicians for several decades now and quite truthfully we have lost ground. Seems my efforts are for naught. The dna which started this country has been diluted since 1607 and that "live free or die blood" has been cross bred too many times in the last 400 years. When the first settlers stepped off the boat they asked where a shovel was. Now they ask where the line is to sign up for benefits. While there are many of us who love freedom and the desire to live without an intrusive government we, I hate to say, are in the minority now. For some reason, people like government to dictate their lives. There are no frontiers left on this rock. The next frontier is in a different orbit and I wont be around for that. But things could have been worse. I could have been born in North Korea. :)

Meanwhile, I will continue to fight for my right to vape and will be optimistic that we can defeat these regulations. I'll do my part.

Nuts are mine (hold the jokes please). :pervy:
Too easy, no challenge.... [emoji1]
Yep, in only a few sentences it can be done. Anyone who wants to know how simple and shallow I am can get all they need to know from reading that brief post. But I would recommend they not take the 7.56 seconds to read it. That's 7.56 seconds of their life they will never get back. :)

Our place in this will be watching BT and their buddy the FDA squirm and we will continue to make them squirm. The thrill of watching history be created as tobacco cigarettes become extinct-like dinosaurs. They will put up a great fight. But they don't have many friends. It will end up not being about money. Money won't save them for very long.

Facts and common sense will win out eventually. And from this suit, it appears that they don't consider us smart enough to be a formidable opponent. And they will end up exposing who they really are because they don't know what they're up against. The cat's already out of the bag.

Now I just wonder how a big company making billions will compete with a vaper's starter kit that costs less than a carton of cigarettes.

That's just it, part of the plan is to tax it to the point where it doesn't cost less.

I would love to be allowed to go before this great government committee and ask them questions. No malice - just straight forward questions.

It's getting straightforward answers that's the problem.

So which part is going to be taxed that much? I could see a nicotine tax. But the rest are common items. I think a lot of this BT/FDA is because they don't know how to tax or make a profit from it . I'd still like to see how this court thing turns out. I can see regulation of tobacco products like nicotine. But most of the other vaping products are not only tobacco related. A regulation for intent?

That would be one of the stipulations before I went in. I am used to difficult meetings - I used to work in the government sector...:cool:

You think they would ever agree to stipulate that all answers would be straightforward?:lol:

They worked very hard to create 500 pages of regulation that would be difficult and ambiguous to interpret. I bet they borrowed some folks from the IRS to help them out with that.

OMG! How did I miss that? We have a movie? I am so oblivious to life itself. I can't wait to see it. Anyone see it yet?
Not out yet in the states, had a premiere in Wis. and other parts of the world. Just finished in Africa. I heard a rumor that it might be out in October in parts of the US but haven't confirmed that and I follow ABL pretty closely. You can sign up to show interest and volunteer to work toward getting it released in your area. I am sure someone else will pop in with more info.

Aaron (director) did give a teaser about something big happening in October. I assume it will hit the US then.

Thanks. I wonder why it's released all over the world and we don't have it yet? Is this movie like shaking the Hornet's nest?
Hopefully the opening will coincide with this court case, LOL
It hasn't been released here yet for financial reasons. It is expensive to do all the advertising and setting up a global release. They had more support in Australia and other countries.
