"thickening of the skin" would be counter to the idea, and again, I approach from the original meaning because it(sadly) still holds value. It also is sad that there has to be policy in place to tell people not to engage in hate speech. Many people's definition of common decency is "I don't find this offensive" as opposed to "if I were that person I would not find that offensive."

No it is not counter to the idea. Everything a person disagrees with is not hate speech. People need to stop waking up each day and going out to try and find something to be offended about.

It is my personal philosophy that if a person is so weak minded that they allow someone else to control their emotions with mere words, then they DESERVE to be offended. To that end I am not someone that can be offended, no matter how hard you try. I may not agree with you, I will debate you, but I will never be offended. We cannot control what others do, say, or think, we can only control how we react to it. I choose to not be offended.

I absolutely do NOT agree with hate speech, however I do believe it is their right to look stupid while saying hateful things. Just as it is my right to choose not to associate with people that do say those things. However too many times the most harmless of quotes is taken out of context and blown out of proportion by someone preaching tolerance while simultaneously being intolerant of an opposing view point and then they claim that is hate speech.

------------------------------------------------------

To bring this back on track, something I have been meaning to mention but kept forgetting. They are against flavors because they will attract children and "SOME" eliquid makers are using cartoons to supposedly market "some dangerous carcinogen" to children, and we must protect the children.

Except that no one seems to care that FD&C Red 40 food dye is supposedly carcinogenic and is found in everything from candy (skittles, starbusrts, etc.), to various sodas, to pop-tarts, to breakfast cereals... and they DEFINITELY market to kids. I mean think about it, "Trix are for KIDS". Really?

I would love to see someone call them on that PUBLICLY.

ftfy? To old to be considered in the loop.

A Texan, an Ohioan and a Californian walk into a bar talk about safe spaces...

"fixed that for you".
What Ionori said.
Thanks, I've seen it several time but never ask. Seems a tad condescending but to each their own.
Generally used when someone expresses opinion as fact, at least in my usage. The Urban Dictionary definition provided is definitely not the accepted current usage by all.

I have no intention of becoming involved in what is or is not a "safe space". It is a topic which has little or nothing to do with the release of deeming regulations.

I only wanted to know what "itfy" meant, nothing more.

Agreed, though the general discussion does highlight an issue we have in vaping advocacy as well, namely, we can’t all agree on terms.

Take the word children. When I talk about children and vaping, I almost always mean mid to late teens. When the FDA says children, they could mean the teens who are vaping, or the toddlers who might pick up a bottle and not know what it is, or anywhere in between, or all of the above.

This is one reason I don’t like argument/advocacy by meme. It’s near impossible to have clarity in the length of a bumper sticker, when dealing with complex issues.

Either way, it seems somewhat condescending, which ever is in vogue, I won't be using it and I will know that I have been insulted when it is used upon my sage words.

I only use it in jest so please don't hurt me. ;)

Good luck. :)

I think everyone is waiting on the "more specific" guidelines that Gottlieb promised would be forthcoming. Lets face facts, the original 400+ pages was quite vague and full of double-speak.

I have no skin in this game.

But honestly and neutrally, "Fixed that for you" is an often used method of adding sarcasm and/or humor by altering the original authors words. It is almost always in jest and seldom malicious. And sometimes it is just to correct an apparent typo.

I have used it often myself and never ever with negative intent.

Phonecall to the FDA confirms again there are zero PMTAs for vape related products as of today.
Note that the question was whether any have been approved, not whether any have been submitted.

However, it wouldn't surprise me if none have been submitted yet either.
