I will say this until I'm blue in the face. Actually, just checked a mirror, and I'm blue in the face, which I've read is a symptom of coronavirus. Oh well, sweet corona, come to me sweetie. Good grief, more bull from them.
Anyway, saying it again until I'm blue in the face, I'm not a Republican nor a Trump fanboy. But, it's clear to me that the Democrats will hurt vaping even more (Kamala lambasted Trump for not banning all flavored juices; Pelosi's bill a few months ago would have been a disaster.)
The thing about Trump is that on the one hand he's a puritan of sorts (never drank never smoked no women [scratch the last one LOL]), but I do think he's against regulations generally and against actions which will be economically harmful, even if to a relatively small part of the economy such as the vaping industry.
If Biden wins, then hang it up. If Trump wins there is a chance.
I still go back to Trump's executive order (Right to Try) where he allows terminally ill people to use unapproved remedies. I look at vaping in much the same way and wonder if Trump does as well. Hopelessly addicted smokers are (likely) relegated to a horrible demise and there is a treatment available (vaping) that could be the only thing to mitigate that inevitability. Yes, it could be said the smoker brought his/her malady upon themselves which is true. It would require a bit more compassion to give that person a "Right to Try". But I suspect Trump did not exclude the Right to Try for smokers as it relates to terminally ill people suffering from smoking diseases. Additionally, Trump saw his older brother's life cut short from alcoholism. I bet if he knew there was a less deadly alternative to drinking he'd be all for it. It all kind of falls in the same category and exposes some of Trump's logic.

Facebook will be awash with an underground market of activity and "suppliers".

There are no limits to the levels of idiocy that live within our legislative body. Many of those people couldn't wipe their own rears even if they were given instructions.

It's always seemed to me that we'd end up with a limited number of closed systems on the open market. The onslaught of negative studies set the stage, then the Juul teen debacle, finally the adulterated weed cartridge episode cementing public opinion against vaping. Logic and the obvious benefits vaping brings are buried under the mountain of misinformation and emotional ploys.

I think it's going to take years to overcome this contrived stigma. Politicians won't risk public backlash to change the course the FDA is taking.

It seemed that a move toward less regulation of vaping was possible, maybe even likely, four years ago. The submission deadline did get put off and the rules for submission softened a bit but that's about all we get.

I don't think who becomes President will change things at all in the near term. The greedy plan to demonize vaping worked.

We now have the uphill fight to sway public opinion in the US, no small task. Hopefully the evidence of vaping success and relative safety elsewhere becomes overwhelming. The sooner the better.

Personally I blame the media for cementing public opinion against vaping. Finally when the truth came out it was too late and was more or less buried because let's face it the media isn't going to make as big a stink about themselves being wrong as they did when they were.

Yeah you don't see a lot of retractions in the media, unless someone files a lawsuit.

I think a suit against the alcohol industry should have been filed, cupcake flavored vodka for instance is okay and isn't considered a target for children but cupcake e-liquid is the devil's nectar designed wholly to lure children to hell.

While I don't want flavored alcohol to go away I think a comparison should have been made in court, perhaps it would have opened some eyes.

I guess it's too late for this, the medical and tobacco industries have won yet another battle and perhaps even the war.

I also think I should get my taxes back, you know the ones that were "paying for my extra healthcare" except they DON'T because smokers die younger? I would like those. Yes, l would like the government to PAY me back for all my harm reduction efforts and industry. It's really not EASY to get a giant freezer full of nic across country but the husband managed it AND plugged it in most nights. It is in fine shape.

I have figured out what it is that makes me SO ANGRY about the current political climate (and sort of society in general.) It is the NEAR constantly lying that occurs. If you want Trump dead, say so. Don't like about COVID and the numbers and I am sorry they are lying they are doing so deliberately and purposefully and yeah, this happens all the time and people exaggerate but if you want to be a communist, say so. If you want Trump dead as the Ultimate Capitalist and indeed he is and indeed he has jacked over MANY a person along the way clawing to the top SAY so. If you think he is into cronyism SAY SO. Don't fake up this fake illness where we ALL need to be wearing masks, dude, and all the time even if we are like TEXTING another person.

I'm sick of it. If there needs to be a Marxist party right now, GREAT. But don't get the entire world involved in an illness that KILLS LESS children than lack of vaccination of ANY other diseases or malaria, etc. It's sickening. What was spent on COVID (and unnecessarily) could have gone to ALL those things!!!! But no because it's "us" not African kids starving to death and dying of AIDS? Right?

Believe it or not, l actually DO believe that most successful hospitals can make it through COVID while deciding whether they will or will not stay open for other elective procedures and illnesses. Believe it or NOT it should NOT be the NY governor deciding all COVID discharges should go to nursing homes condemning many to a HORRIBLE death.

Government overreach has gotten SO incredibly powerful in the last several decades, it DOES make me want to overthrow them, just not in the COMMUNIST direction. And, I am really sorry to say it but the brainwashing began SO early my OWN kid is too dumb to see it. And he has a really high IQ, he wanted to vote for Gary Johnson when he was 11 and I MISS THAT DANG KID.

Brainwashing is terrible. It's just the worst thing you can do to a person and/or society It's getting dangerous. I don't think much good may come UNLESS and UNTIL people wake up. Waking up, unfortunately, has very little to do with brain power. There is an inner fortitude you have to have when you can say, "I am wrong." I am wrong about a lot of things, and I don't mind admitting it. But when you get people so.... ideologically loaded up they cease to become people and it's really kinda depressing.

I need to call the tyke in 15 minutes and "not talk politics" because "he doesn't like it." There is a big part of me that wants to say, "Child, l am your MOTHER. If I want to talk about some unspeakably foul event that occurred with a donkey, last night, I will do so."

Because that is what it feels like. "ooh... don't have a healthy debate about politics because the Marxist party has stated that we can talk to our parents but to talk to them about the evils of freedom at ALL is worse than discussion of what they did last night with a donkey."

I mean nothing happened with a donkey but I almost wish it DID because like, it would be EASIER to talk about I am NOT KIDDING.
