Do the majority of PV users plan on quitting completely?

I guess I'm looking for someone to explain the reason for making a distinction between one addiction (nicotine) and another (hand-to-mouth, for example).
It's an extremely good point that I don't recall seeing brought up before in that context.
I think a big part of it is that many people vastly underestimate the parts of their "addiction" that have nothing to do with nicotine.

I'm one of the weird ones. From the day I got my 510's I haven't touched a real cig. I kinda switch back and forth between the nic and non nic. I can't do the higher nic (18+) so I stick with thinning it out to 12 or less. Depends on how I'm feeling that day, whats going on in my life, and what I flavor if any I feel like vaping. When I get really busy, I can't go without vaping for hours.

See said I was weird. :)

After countless failures in my attempts to stop smoking, I went into vaping without that goal in mind. The switch was surprisingly effortless and unplanned.

I don't think of addiction as being necessarily an all negative event. Like other things, it spices up ones life. I currently enjoy vaping very much and have no plans to quit.

I'm a little mixed on the whole issue. Part of me thinks, "I not only can vape the equivalent of my usual two packs a day... I can vape even more!"

The other part of me would like to become a social vaper... you know, after the day's work is done, retiring to comofort of the Dinosaur Room to enjoy a Scotch and a really good vape.

The one thing I know is that I'm not going to stress myself out over it. Vaping took quitting cigs -- normally one of the most stressful things that I've tried to do -- and made it mostly fun.

I'm just starting out, and I am starting with no plans of quiting analogs. More just as a substitute so I can quit smoking in the house, and for resturaunts, bars, etc. I hope it helps me quit analogs, but I'm not worrying about it. I did go with a Bloog Max Fusion because I wanted something as close to the real thing as possible to make the transition as easy as possible.

Just started vaping...still smoking a couple of analogs a day, but it's a lot better than the pack/day I was doing. I'm hoping to use the vaping as a way of quitting analogs altogether. I don't mind the nicotine addiction, I'm more concerned about being free of the nastiness that comes with analogs. If I end up quitting vaping, then hey that's the way it goes, but right now I don't have any plans to in the near future.

I don't see myself stopping the vape anytime soon. I love it too too much! My husband made a comment to me last night that he has noticed me vaping way more than I was smoking. I agree. I am. Who cares! He just doesn't understand this vaping thing at all. And I am vaping only 0 or 6 mg with the occasional 11 mg puff if I feel the need.

I wanted to lower my nic level due to the vasoconstricting effect it has. I have a HUGE family history of heart disease.

After getting off analogs, I was perfectly happy vaping the high test e-liquids with large doses of nicotine, but I have been cutting the nic strength lately and I don't seem to be missing the nicotine like I thought I would. I find that I am also not vaping quite as much as I once did. So, I guess I am getting off nicotine, and maybe that is a good thing. At least it is a thing.

I will not stop vaping in the foreseeable future though. I enjoy it too much.

Quitting vaping much easier than quitting coffee... I'll kill over my coffee... well, mess with the ProVari and I'll probably beat you over the head with it... and it's quite heavy...

You've got THAT right. I quit drinking coffee about 8 years ago; mind I was a hard core drinker, about 12 cups a day. Anywho, I had a caffeine withdrawal headache for about a year. Miserable, miserable time. I'm still addicted but to the taste (it's the Swede in me) but now it's strictly decaf; one cup of coffee and I feel like I've overdosed on speed.

I'm moving over to PV from analogs - waiting impatiently for my order to come in still. I'd love to just walk away from smoking but I'm addicted to the hand to mouth part and I just like being outside and social with all my smoker friends. Now if I'm able to slowly reduce my nicotine intake and put down the PV for good I'll take it.

Well, to be honest I can't say that I intend on quitting completely, because I never saw this as a quitting device. Probably would have resented it if it were. I saw it as a switch.

Now it's true that I may end up stepping down my nicotine over the years or even possibly weaning myself off of it. But this fulfills my needs for strong flavors, for deep breathing, and for the hand motions, and for now the nicotine addiction. Since all of those are being fulfilled in a much, much safer manner, I really don't see the point in quitting for its own sake.
