Wondering how everybody's stock piles are holding up.

My attys are holding up great; well over year old. Lost a couple attys this year.

510 batts dropping like flies just over year old; hardly used.

m40x batts still kicking after one year; lost about 2 or 3 this year.

My juice holding up great after one year freezer storage.

My m401 passthru working perfect after one year.

Hey emus, when you freeze your liquid, does it freeze solid? Also, what kind of liquid is it exactly. (mg, pg/vg%' what brand of flavoring or brand of liquid, or unflavored?)
Good job on having that work for over a year, that is crazy!

You're not alone my friend. I'm trying to hold a family together with just my disability income with a hubby that can't work yet can't get through the disability progress, a 12yo child in school, and myself, disabled with blindness, lupus (SLE type - worst type to have), and Sjogren's disease along with all the problems the latter two bring into the picture and it's a lot.

Take a gander at a day with lupus, although our days differ as I am no longer able to work and I am on a much larger and stronger dosage of medication to remain comfortable as possible... the pain can be brought down to tolerable but it's never truly gone; however, on the other end of the spectrum when the pain is bad - it's emergency room or blow my brains out bad. :(

The Spoon Theory
ButYouDontLookSick.com

It only takes one time to overdo it or once catching a cold or as recently occurred, catching the regular flu then coming down with the H1N1 flu, which lead to an upper respiratory infection to put me flat on my backside and in a world of hurt. I'm still getting over the H1N1. I'm even more uncomfortable now b/c I haven't been able to take my HRT medication (controls hot flashes, chills, and irritability, etc... thanks to menopause, which like the women in my family I entered peri then full-blown menopause early and now thanks to a cyst that has a probability of being cancerous but I won't know anything until more tests are run (another mammogram & ultrasound) in Dec/Jan & there's no guarantees that will tell more than we know so far & could have me waiting another 6 mos for more tests before anyone knows if the cyst in my breast is cancerous or not. The estrogen in the HRT drugs cause cancer to grow faster so I can't take any of the medications to control the symptoms of menopause or I risk the cyst growing and possibly spreading beyond a manageable state where doctors can remove it through surgery and/or with the assistance of chemo or radiation therapy, which I dread like the plague b/c I have a severe phobia of throwing up. It's ironic b/c most of the meds I take for lupus cause nausea and vomiting. I happen to live in a state that doesn't recognize medical ......... and I have no way to gain access to the herb or I'd be using it now to handle the lupus flares and illnesses when taking the meds. Other lupus patients in states w/ medical ......... agreements proclaim this is a wonder drug. They can take their meds without tossing them back up, they feel better, they can eat w/o getting sick, and most of all, they can have a life b/c the herb helps with the fatigue!

When they say misery loves company, sweetie, you're not alone. I'm there with you. :)=:)

My heart goes out to you. I wish you the best in your reports from the doctor.

The whole idea of banning ecigs sucks. The FDA has no idea what they all are talking about. Makes you want to walk into one of their meets and hand them an ecig and say, "Before banning these, let me tell you how it has saved my life and your wonderful cigarettes about destroyed it." They wouldn't care. The government wants the taxes from it. That I don't mind paying. We pay it anyways. FDA wants control as ususal over us. Horse puckey! Big tobacco companies want it removed because they lost money. They make billions a year while we make piddly squat wages. It's all about control and money. What happened to this country? I thought it was free. I guess I've walked through 40 years with blinders and earplugs on. I thought we were the voices behind government. With the way the economy is going, all the laws in effect, it seems as if we are heading to a civil war again.

Thanks.
None of my liquids froze solid in 5F freezer (inside small igloo).
Small air space in glass bottles and zero air space in plastic bottles (pushed in sides to allow for expansion).
All my liquids have been PG based.
I froze several flavors (samplers) from different companies.
I am just finishing off my flavored juice.
I still have a lot of unflavored juice left in freezer.

they can't keep drugs from coming in, they won't be able to keep liquids and attys coming in. God bless the internet. If my neighbor can order ...... from canada, whats to keep us from ordering e-juice?

Nothing!

Stop it....no; make it expensive, you betcha. If it's illegal to sell attys, they'll be 20 bucks each. As it is with all restricted item, those with money will only experience an inconvenience.

My attys are holding up great; well over year old. Lost a couple attys this year.
401 loss rate has decreased dramatically (guess it's part of the learning curve).
I have at least 2 doz unopened - enough for a couple years at least.

510 batts dropping like flies just over year old; hardly used.
never used 510 batts - 1 ego manual ok, 1 ego auto dead.

m40x batts still kicking after one year; lost about 2 or 3 this year.
Haven't had any last a year but still no complaints 6-8 months seems pretty good.

My juice holding up great after one year freezer storage.
Haven't tried freezing it, but it seems ok after ~6 months.

My m401 passthru working perfect after one year.
Ditto.

It has always been about control and money. Since the Citizens United case, it's a little more so. But nothing has really happened. You haven't been wearing blinders and earplugs. You've simply been receiving the same nonsensical version of history we all have. Since we were kids, we've all heard the same story. USA, USA...We're number One! The shining beacon on the hill! Upward mobility! Defenders of Freedom! Now, be a good robot, shut up, and prepare for your role as a cog in corporate Amerika. The 0.1% on top have business to attend to. We'll let you know if we need you to die for us. Meanwhile, just shut up and stay out of our way.

Well, that's garbage and it always was. It just takes a single event to wake you up to the fact that your (and mine) whole life has been an endless succession of lies and propaganda about the country we live in. One of the hardest things for anyone to admit is that they've been lied to for their whole lives. In essence, everything you "know" is wrong. Democracy is a kabuki dance. The "American Dream" is a myth. Freedom and life are marketable commodities. In this country, your right to exist is dependent on your capacity to provide a sufficient amount of profit to someone else. If you do not care to live your life in a continuous series of transactions designed to provide a profit to someone else, you have no right to that life. The only (partial) exceptions to that are air and water but they've about got water figured out, and air will be next. People used to laugh at the concept of privatized water. Now, it's a reality and they laugh at the concept of privatized air.

When confronted with the cold, hard reality that it's ALWAYS been about power and money and you've been duped for your whole life you must just accept it and learn to live with it. The alternative is either revolution, or to flee the country to somewhere with their own unique set of lies, or to sink into depression and despair. Or, you can act like the 10 year old who has just been told all the men mommy had over were not his uncles; you can hate the messenger and cling to the lies.

That's as true as it gets with one little exception. Now, even if you do op to be part of the cog in the machine of making profits for another, it doesn't get you any closer to health care insurance (that part about right to life) because the profiteers are in league with the health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies who are doing everything in their power to keep their 10000% mark up on life-saving medications not to mention keeping tabs on EVERY PERSON who takes a pain medication. If you are on a schedule III pain medication that keeps chronic pain to a minimum and keeps your pain at a level where you are semi-functional, you can most certainly bet your name is on a list with the federal government because they are afraid you might actually get enough medication to help control the pain enough so you can realize the rip-off and then take them to task publicly for it.

Sorry about the sarcasm. I had my monthly appointment with the doctor and not only did I have to sign a form for the FDA stating I would only receive my pain medications from one doctor and fill the prescriptions at one pharmacy, I had to take a GD piss test so the doctor can document the amount of medication in my body so it can be included on that freaking list for the FDA. It makes one suspicious enough to wonder if they truly aren't concerned that we will actually stop hurting long enough to realize they are taking advantage of us when they sell a drug here in the USA for $75 yet it's sold in places like India for $14 yet we are not allowed to order the same medication from India b/c the pharmaceutical company claims the drug in India isn't safe for Americans yet it comes in the same packaging and writing and everything - even the same pharmaceutical company yet it's not safe. What gives? That's where the lies run rampant.

I hate to get on the other side of this discussion and almost didn't. Then, I just couldn't walk away. The 'American Dream' is not understood and not realized because most are not willing to make the sacrifices. Yes, there is an elite group that have it made and their heirs will also have it made until they blow it and many do.

Most people don't understand the concept of "pay yourself first". If they did and started at an early age, they'd be amazed at how well they were off ten years later. If you're going to run in the red (credit baby), you're going to be in the red your whole life. Not all credit is bad, such as borrowing on a house, but just about all the rest destroys the dream. Once you've accumulated, your next step is finding investments you can understand, then investing.

I look back on the 60 hour work weeks I used to put in now and say I must have been crazy. However, if I wasn't willing to make those sacrifices at that time, I wouldn't feel they way I do today. The Dream is out there you just have to work to get it.

I think this thread is missing the point. For those here that are Americans.....we used to be the most freedom loving, pig headed, innovated bunch of folks the world has ever seen. We have fought for our freedom and when government was successful in the past at taking a small bit of freedom from us (prohibition).....we found a way around them until they stopped that nonsense (bootlegging). What the hell happened to us?

First of all, vote and get active. Don't sit and complain if you are not working to change the system that you feel is oppressing you. Do not let the government decide what is best for you. Example: helmet laws. Did you let your community pass this law? I say let the gene pool decide for itself. If you don't want to see your kid with a scrambled brain or dead from a minor bicycle accident, you educate them and you make them wear a helmet. You alone, not the government.

Second, make some mods, it really isn't mysterious or hard. If you don't have the tools or are incapacitated or are afraid of batteries, ask your dad or cousin or aunt or anyone that owns a soldering iron for help. The Puck works on easily available batteries and about $8 in parts, the how to is in the ECF site, build one. Atomizers are getting easier and easier to build as well. There are some very talented folk that are reinventing our idea of the atomizer and have already done the thinking parts for you. Stockpile a few of those parts instead of $200 in 510 batteries (yes Virginia, those little Lithium ion bats will go forever dead if stored too long).

Lastly, learn how to make at least a few flavors of juice. PG, VG and flavoring are not that hard to get even if you live far out in a rural area. If this is all too much for you to handle, make friends locally with others who vapeor are sympathetic to this cause and together you can get it done.

The government cannot ban all the simple, basic parts we need to make our own. If they try, we will find or make other parts that work as well or better. They were unsuccessful at totally banning alcohol and couldn't even succeed in totally banning weed. Although moonshine may not taste as nice as top shelf scotch, it got the job done for those that wanted a drink.

It has always been about control and money......

Outstanding summary... KUDOS
The entire post is wonderful (I love truthful sarcasm)
However, the last sentence broke me up!

"Or, you can act like the 10 year old who has just been told all the men
mommy had over were not his uncles; you can hate the messenger and
cling to the lies."
