Cant be spoken....
I'd save more money if I quit buying so many tanks :p

But seriously, I've gone from spending $60-70 per week on a carton of cigs to spending about $40 per week on tanks and different juices, but not being forced to the garage to smoke, smelling like an ash pit and seriously damaging my health is certainly worth it.

This is so true

I was spending a ton of coin chasing all the new products. Now I spend hardly any. I use boge carts in glass tanks on a provari. Got the carts in a group purchase for .72 each (100). In February I started DIY and have not bought any vendor liquids since December. I bought a gallon of PG and VG for $20 each. I bought an 8 year supply of nicotine. I keep it frozen. I have around 40 flavor concentrates. They are dirt cheap at Wizard Labs - $1.50. Half the time I vape unflavored liquid. A 30ml bottle cost me around .90 to make. PG and VG do not clog a cart and the one i'm using now has gone over 50 days and still works as well as a new one. So figure out what you want from vaping, spend some money up front and stop the bleeding. Next year i'll spend another $72 on carts and whatever flavors I want and that will be it. Well maybe a couple batteries, but the 6 I have in rotation are showing no signs of giving out. Also, I do have a mechanical mod with a kick just in case I need to send in my Provari for repair.

Personally, I used to smoke about 5 packs a week, not bad. I spent roughly 30 a week and an amazingly 100-120 a month, if I drank at all (which I usually did once a month) that's two packs for that day. So right now I've dropped about 180 on everything I bought. A ego twist vv 1100mah, a ego battery 650mah, a charger, a case, a vivi nova tank/clearo, a drip tip (marble), three 10mls from madvapes, a kanger tank/clearo, yet another clearomizer, a sample pack from Johnson Creek, two 10mls from my "local" vape shop, and that's all not considering the Blu, which I don't. That will probably last me (juice wise) four weeks depending on my vapage. Divided by four weeks, that makes each week cost 45 dollars. That's only 15 more a week than when I was smoking.

In one month, I will break even vape wise. My juices will be the only thing I purchase afterwards for quite a while unless something goes terribly wrong. So yes and no. I am NOT saving money. But yes, I will save money very shortly. :) And saving doctor payments

I never really spent that much on smoking. I rolled my own so I was spending $18 a week for a carton. Since my son works at a vape store I get a good discount on my items I buy from him. It is just like anything else you start out with. You always buy more than really needed because it is new to you. Then you want to try everything out there. Then it become more of a hobby then anything. I don't know about yall but any hobby that I have ever had was never cheap.

As for $$, as I said in a previous post I am now ahead of the game by about $20 even with all the play pretties I have purchased. Just have to stay out of the vape store....

I just did the math last night, and my roommate and I were spending almost $400 per month on cigarettes. Unless we decide to buy a new pair of provaris monthly and start treating them like disposables, I don't see how it's even possible to not save money by switching to vaping. Especially with analogs going up in price all the time. They'll be $7 a pack here soon.

I can't see myself getting into all the DIY stuff, and I can't see myself buying any more gear until the EgoC battery dies. The place I get my e-cig stuff at has iClear 16's for $10 a pop, and 15 ml of e-juice costs me 15 bucks.

My initial outlay was $65 for the EgoC Battery, 2 iClear 16's, and a 15ml bottle of 18mg juice. I went back a week later and got a bottle of 24mg juice for another $15. (I'm sure there's a less expensive route to go, like ordering online. The reason I don't want to do that is because the store I go to .... OUT, here in Phoenix, lets you taste test the juice before you buy it)

This was almost 2 weeks ago. I've spent $80 and both bottles of juice are still over half full. I do have about 3 analog ciggies a day, but once this pack is done, I'm done with them.

I was a PAD smoker for 25 years, I always bought single packs, and they are about 8 dollars a pack here. That's $56 a week, or $224 a month.

I do believe I will be saving money.

I thought I would save money, but vaping has become a hobby/obsession. I am constantly buying e juice from b&m's and assorted websites, stocking up on cartos, bought about 15 carto tanks, 3 atties, 2 pvs etc, etc.... I am not in the least bit disappointed about the money issue though. Honestly, even though I am overspending my old cigarette budget I justify that to myself because I know without a shadow of a doubt I actually am saving money in the area of inevitable future medical bills, cancer treatment, leaving my wife burdened with planning my funeral and dealing with our mortgage. Yep, Im totally ok with my vaping $$ binges :)

Your health = Priceless!

Vaping CAN have a high initial investment, Getting your first PV's, finding your ADV or DIY. Then getting your backups, second PV's or APV's. Cartos, Tanks, Clearos, etc etc etc.

However the saving can also depend on the Cig taxes in your area. Compute that with an eventual MOD addiction.. someone somewhere has made the equation..

All in all its a win win, win win win! :vapor:

The Provari I have costs less than the 4 cartons of smokes I consumed in 1 month. The 1 litre 48mg nic base will last me over a year cut down to 12mg, and cost $70.00. The DIY tobacco flavorings, and PG / VG were cheap. Add in the RBAs with enough wire and wick to last as long as the juice, and batteries.... Hell yeah I'm saving money, and loving the experience. It's MUCH cheaper than the $2400.00+ a year I was spending on the lung busters. ;)

In the UK it's virtually impossible not to save money if you were smoking regular cigarettes at about £7 a pack. I smoked roll-ups which work out about a quarter of the price and I think I'm breaking even or saving a bit. Maybe £20 a month saving. I'm a pretty cheap vaper though. I only use basic ego stuff and clearos and use DV Peppermint exclusively. Probably spend about £30 a month on liquid, £10 on clearos and maybe a new ego mini battery every couple of months. I did break my ancient USB ego the other day when I sat down with it in my back pocket so that was a £20 unexpected outlay. So annoyed with myself, that thing was a trooper, I'd had it about 3 years and it was still going strong. It didn't even have the on/off function it was that old.

I'm certainly saving money. Even though I'm retired military and bought my cigarettes at a local PX at about half the price they sell for locally ($4.75 a pack at the PX versus $8.00 in town) I've saved much more than I've spent in the last 2 months of vaping. Now that I have all my gear, the cost will moderate and I'll save even more. I don't miss buying 2 cartons a week.
