The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Atchungbaby I know it wasn't me u were asking but I've found alcohol is best for me. Most of the time it starts to get tight tho I've found a few good pulls directly off the a tty will usually ease the pull. Leave it on the batt pull the tank press the power and pull huge cloud. As far as the clean I usually soak for an hour or over night especially if ive burnt the a tty then just run several passes of alcohol thru dry ti off give a little blow thru it let sit overnight or somewhere warm for hour or two.

I just vape an occasional tank of flavorless (100% PG or 80/20 PG/VG mix with just a little nicotine added) eliquid until the juice in the tank runs clear. That's my maintenance. I got that idea from LGD and it seems to work just fine (PG is a decent solvent). I've been using the same two atties for almost two months and only cleaned them three times. First I boil them for 20 min in distilled water--just pop them, fully submerged, into my microwave. Then I flush them several times with the boiling water, soak them for 15 min in vodka, blow the excess out, let them dry a few hours, and then do several short (4-5 sec) dry burns until the entire coil glows orange. Then another quick rinse with vodka, to get the ashes out, blow out the excess through the battery end, let them dry a bit, and they are ready to go.

I do clean my tanks regularly, of course. I know that luck has a lot to do with it. I got four atties altogether and all four are fine. I know that alot of people have problems or got duds. But if you buy from a reputable vendor, they will replace the defective atties, so my risk is zero, really. The tank cartridges last forever.

I agree that the flavors might seem muted sometimes, but I happen to like subtle flavors, so that doesn't bother me. The juices I use are light-colored, transluscent, barely flavored, usually 80/20 or 70/30 mixtures. I use my tanks on 3.2 as well as on 3.7v. I think I prefer the 3.7, but the LR atties are very nice on 3.2v.

Hope that helps.

Hum. Now this thread has me a little worried. My eGoT is sitting at the PO for me to pick up. I already use an eGo and have been fine with it, except the need for juicing up all the time. I suppose I will be lucky or not ;-) At least there are devotees that would probably swap if I'm not satisfied....

and speaking of satisfied. That was something that struck me at the end of the video. Don't we all want more with less fiddling?

Wow, seems the EgoT is getting more polarizing everyday. Am I the only one who is lukewarm about it? I thought mine was ok but not great. I only used one tank + atty for about a week and just kind of put it aside and forgot about it. Cartomizers are still working great for me. I'm not really wanting to like one thing more than another, I just kind of let whatever works be my vape of choice.

Just the fact that you admit the EgoT needs troubleshooting is not great praise really. I guess anyone who is not a mechanic shouldn't drive a car? For the majority of people vaping should be no fuss no muss. As soon as something goes beyond that it's a fail imo.

I've read about tons of fixes and tweaks for the EgoT and I could do those things. I just won't.

Pav,

Anyone can take something out of context and add there own spin to it. OTOH there are allot of folks who do not know how to vape either. I am not saying that Nick is one of them, but the polarizing reviews you have read are definitely a good starting point.

As you I was also on the fence with acquiring this system. I do not jump on band wagons generated through hype, nor do I take every review out there as gospel neither. At the end of the day it is their personal opinion.

I needed new batteries for my eGos that were 13 months old at the time, to include one still very functional original atty. I also did not want the 1000mAh clicky battery. A nice feature, but something that could fail, and lets hope when it does fail it is in the on position vice off. Paying an extra $3 for 100mAh and a feature that I did not want was an easy decision and I went for the proven 900mAh batts. So I picked up a couple of T attys and a pack of black carts at the same time. Black carts from the reviews were suppose to be less problematic.

Outside of getting rid of the nasty primer they come with, I have had no problems with the T system. At day 9 I noticed the atty start to tighten up, so I gave it a quick alcohol bath. Resumed using it the next day with a different liquid and ll is well, and has been performing like new, with the different liquid for the past 12 days.

Understanding what is happening to your equipment and correcting it prior to it happening is the technical savvy that I am referring to. I had to switch to 100% VG (properly diluted) due to an acquired sensitivity to PG. I was always a proponent of too much VG or high flavoured liquids, dark liquids or sweet liquids = dead attys. I still am. There are certain liquids that will not vape in the eGo T and I avoid those. Does that make the T bad? No! It just means it is being utilized outside of its original design characteristics.

Some folks shoot down equipment prematurely. e.g IKV's cartos. I have seen this time and time and again and it is usually the result of using an adapter or the liquid they use. One respondent actually admitted that they were not going to change liquids to use Isaac's cartos. Hey that is cool! But don't fault the carto over your choice of liquids. Some folks also have unrealistic expectations. They expect cartos to last months, where their original intent was one or two refills  If you can get 2 weeks out of a carto it is a blessing. If it didn't last 4 is it a bad carto or unrealistic expectations. I killed one in 2 days, yet I've also had them last up to 5 weeks before going stale (that was an exception, normally 2 weeks). I also knew going in I would kill it, with that liquid. I save that liquids for attys and no I have not nor will I use it with the T tank.

So in closing, is the eGo T for everyone? No! Many thought it would be the answer to all their prayers. To me it vapes like the mega attys, which is like an 801 since that is the atty used or a modified 302. There are designed for a slow easy drag, vice a "quick toot" that the 510 can provide. OTOH vaping is not smoking a cigarette. I will openly admit that their is faulty equipment out there. The chances of getting faulty equipment with knock offs are exponential. OTOH their is a lot of folks that simply do not know how to use their equipment, and simply won't admit it. There is nothing wrong with admitting it. We were all knew at one point in time, and we have all learned from our mistakes. IMMHO someone that goes through 10 attys in ten days is either one unlucky SOB or will not face the fact that perhaps he is doing something wrong.

Considering what started this thread, when I viewed the review of the MAP Tank, with all the negatives mentioned during said review. I sit confused as to why it received such a glowing endorsement. The MAP Tank is a neat concept, change the engine.

Elendil - or Katya: How do you clean your attys? I'm just starting to get a harder draw..I got a few in the mail today (I've been using one exclusively) -I've q-tipped it and blown it out about every other day. And for the record I LOVE MY EGO-T!!:vapor:

The metal mesh in the atty is what carries the liqiud to the coil cup. If often gets clogged with old juice and the mesh no longer wicks properly. As Katya said, running PG through it will solve the problem. OTOH, as I am allergic to PG I can't use it. I found alcohol ran trhough it, until it come out as a stream not drops will clear up a clogged mesh. After its bath, I blow them out and let them dry for 24 hrs.

FWIW I don't clean my attys with the exception of blowing them out periodically. I am a proponent of doing too much is akin to not doing enough. When an atty quits performing (too much carbon buit up on the coil) I step it up to HV.

Like I said, for most people to need "technical savvy" to use anaverage consumer product, which is what ecigs are supposed to be is just wrong (some might like it and that's cool too).

As for being "utilized outside it's design characteristics", I would say that is just a flat out false assessment. It was designed to be filled with juice and vaped. Simple as that. My instruction sheet had no warning against using any kind of juice. If it doesn't work well with all the different kind of juice people use then that is a design flaw, not user error imo.

When I see someone who's been here a few years and has over 5,000 posts, I tend to value his opinion.

I've got over 10,000. Trust me, post count doesn't mean squat. It's a much better idea to weigh the pros and cons yourself and make an informed decision.

And IMO anyone who says they use their T attys for a week, yet alone two or three, are [blank]..... I let your imagination fill in the blank.

I've actually had my Inferno-T for a week, and have had zero issues with it. I've also not had to clean one of the tank atties yet. I guess that makes me a [blank], too?

Out of line for what? Calling him classless? Don't you see why he wanted me to answer that question? He wants to ban me. Ban me for what? For voicing my honest opinion about the eGO-T?

Umm... paranoid much? Your chances of being banned just for disagreeing with Elendil are pretty much slim to none. If you want to get insulting (which your post was hovering on the border of), those chances start to rise.

As for me, so far I'm enjoying my Inferno-T. The taste is a little muted over dripping, as others have noted, but I use some pretty strong flavored juice, so it's not really an issue. I also use juice with about 20% VG. Granted, I've only been using mine for a week, so my opinion in a few more weeks may be different, but for now I am pretty happy with what I have. The atties I have used are performing well, and I am actually pleasantly surprised how much vapor I can get out of them. Not to mention how much of a relief it is to just fill a tank and vape on it for a while without having to refill or top off all the freaking time.

One thing I do notice is I find myself chain vaping them a little more than I usually do. I go through about 5 or 6 tanks a day. I lowered my nic level from 36mg to 24mg to compensate for it.

I kind of agree and disagree with this thread. I've only been vaping a few weeks and from what I can see there's nothing out there that's perfect. This is a pretty young technology and most of the products are hand made. If you expect to pick up a PV and treat it like a cigarette, that's probably not going to happen. It took a couple hundred years to go from smoking tobacco in a pipe to cigarettes that worked well. Today things move a lot faster but, it still takes some time to get things right.

My own experience is that you need to tinker to get the eGo-T to work right. OTOH once you get it there, it seems to stay in that sweet spot a while. I find that if you take a couple dry (battery off) hits after you've left it sitting for a while, the taste an vapor are better. It'll perform better longer, if you get in the habit of sucking a little after a hit with the button released as well.

I've tried dripping on a standard 510 atomizer and I honestly don't see enough difference to make it worth the trouble. I'll use it for sampling juices but, I can't see doing it on a regular basis. Cartridges leak and you can get a mouth full of juice. With all the mods I see out there for cartridges, these don't exactly appear to be plug and play either. A properly adjusted eGo-T doesn't leak and if you manage to get a mouth full of juice (I did once.), you were really working at it. However, they do require adjustment.

If you can't stand the idea of adusting the eGo-T, please continue to mod carts or drip. However, to call another system garbage because you have to tinker with it while you're willing to tinker with a different system is, at best, hypocritical.

Chinese liquids are far less viscous than what us North Americans vape or want. Nuff said...

My husband and I have had our eGo-Ts and tanks for a little over a month now with no problems. Still using the same 2 attys that we clean about once a week.

Now, we did experience the burnt taste when we first started using them. I learned that to avoid that, you just need to do primer puffs to keep the wick wet. It's pretty much become a habit and I don't even need to think about it. Pull for half a second before pressing the button, hit the button and get the vape, pull for a half second with thumb off the button. Pre-prime and post-prime, just like that.

Easy peasy, nice and easy.

The really nice thing about the eGo is the fact the batteries are excellent and 510 threaded. If you end up not liking the tanks for whatever reason, you aren't stuck unable to vape. And, the eGo system has its own options besides normal 510 attys. There are ego cartos and a couple of styles of ego megas.

Before buying an eGo-T watch the following video as he speaks the truth.
YouTube - GrimmGreen's Channel
I bought one & it is a POS IMHO.
If I am banned for this post so be it as I want to save some people some money on something that does not deliver.

:vapor: louis :vapor:

I just thought I'd toss this out there:

I'm not sure why you think you'd be banned because you don't like a certain product. I believe everyone has a right to their opinions in that regard. I personally hate the CE2s. I could never get them to work for me at all. I'd rate them much lower than the eGo-T as far as craptastic performance. But that is just my personal opinion. Others seem to have had much better luck with them than I have, and love them. More power to them, I say. Whatever works...

I'll always favor dripping on an atty using one of my VV or VP mods, but so far, my Inferno-T works great for stealth vaping at work, where my bigger mods would stick out like a sore thumb. That's not saying that I won't run into some of the same issues that others have been having next week, but so far so good.

Hi,

I think I might be one of the lucky ones who got a perfectly working ego T.
I do swear by it mainly because of the following

1) I have not got any issues with it other than 2 of my cartridges leaking. (I can definitely live with that)
2) This thing got me of analogs completely which I am thinking is no less than a miracle...
3) The flavour I am getting is very nice and there are times when I just get lost in the vape...(Love it)
4) The main reason probably is I used to have a green smoke before (Yeah got conned by them) and when you compare it with green smokes it is like comparing a pea shooter with a sniper rifle.

It has just been three 2 weeks now and I hope I get the same amazing vapes for long time...
(I hope they come up with bigger cartridges like the map)

Oh jeez. Has anyone else noticed everyone wants to think their device is the "Holy Grail"
It's okay to admit that the Ego T sucks...... because it does. Nobody wants to have to mess with something to get it to work the way its ADVERTISED. Ego T = FAIL.

I've got about 20 or so different devices, and none of them are the "Holy Grail". One comes pretty close, but we aren't discussing it in this thread.

I've read a couple of times now that there is a type-B tank on the way soon. It is mentioned pretty deep in to the huge eGo-t thread and I saw it on another forum. The type-B has been reported to utilize a 3.2 ml tank.

That is cool....
The map tank is almost always out of stock so hope they get it out soon...
If you could give the thread where it was discussed it would be superb...
