One last addition. Don't look at this like any other quit, it's not the same and the old rules do not apply here. Look at it like a change of brands "at first"

[...]You will most likely find cigs disgusting and you WILL lose your taste for them...
Indeed. Here's my story: smoked for almost 20 years, 40+ cigs a day. Occasional ventures into pipe smoking territory, loved latakia, hated flavored tabaccos, totally lacked the patience. Hardly any serious thought about quitting.
One day a coworker started sucking on this pen thingie instead of smoking. Weird, even a bit ridiculous amidst all the smokers, but you know--he did seem to actually enjoy it. Read up on it and... well, it's just artificial flavors, so it's of course not for me, but still... had to try.
Eventually bought an ego-t starter kit. Felt a bit expensive at the time, but bad gear isn't going to give me an untainted impression, right? Liked it and decided to just vape whenever I felt like it. In other words: a lot. After a while, I learned about cartos and dripping, which were supposedly even better and thus ordered a couple dual coils and a "dripping atomizer" (LR 306) along with the next plethora of juices. Whoa. Nice. Still, not trying--nor wanting--to quit, just having fun with something new, that's all. A lot of fun. All day.
A few weeks ago, my analogue at work tasted just awful. Just... very very nasty. Squashed it, vaped, didn't smoke the rest of the day. Nor any day after that.
If I had set out with the intent to quit, I probably would have failed miserably. I just let it happen and despite being more expensive right now (well, there were these recent... *cough*... shopping incidents with the mark-t and her provari...) it never felt like I was actually missing something.
