However I am entitled to my opinion, even if my opinion is that your wrong about some things, or that you should be quiet cause your annoying, or whatever else my opinion is. I offered a piece of information that had facts behind it, along with my opinion, which was all I had intended to say.
No I never said he wasn't entitled to his opinion, my opinion is simply that perhaps he should be silent, and like him, I am entitled to my opinion. Besides it was only a suggestion, it's not like I told him to shut the F up. His opinion seems to be that I am a blind stupid child, none of which I am. Anyways, I'm done here, this is boring. I'm gonna go smoke my e-cig and find a discussion thread that hasn't devolved into anti-government rhetoric.
When you start making sense, and having an actual point rather than just spouting anti-government baloney people might listen. A society must have rules and if you don't like them you can either just complain about it, do something about it, or leave. It's the people who you complain about who make your freedom possible. You want to see tyranny, there are plenty of places in the world that if you'd expressed any of the sentiments which you have here they'd kill you for it without law or hesitation. The law doesn't exist to protect you from the government it exists to maintain order. The Constitution is not in itself a law and was never intended to be such, the phrase constitutional law is in regards to the study, practice, interpretation, and administration of the laws set forth by a countries constitution. The Constitution is a guiding document not a law in and of itself.
And no I am not on a terrorist list, anywhere, I know that for a fact.
Maybe he is educated, but it doesn't mean he's right, I am educated too, but it doesn't mean I'm right either. However I am entitled to my opinion, even if my opinion is that your wrong about some things, or that you should be quiet cause your annoying, or whatever else my opinion is. I offered a piece of information that had facts behind it, along with my opinion, which was all I had intended to say. I know there are bad cops and crooked courts out there and that the government can act like a big bad bully, so does pretty much everyone. That does not change the fact that the police officers do not make those laws, they do not set statutes, they just enforce them, that's their job. I would rather deal with the fact of a few overzealous cops, than one that do not do their jobs correctly and therefore leave drug dealers loose on the streets.
Freedom of speech is a beautiful thing which we all are still entitled to. One poster expressed his concerns and posted the videos as to why he was concerned and was berated for expressing his concerns. His concerns are shared by many Americans and if you do searches on youtube you'll find many more people and videos expressing these concerns, including what the Patriot Act means and can do. So to try to stifle someone for bringing up real fears, in my opinion, is counter productive. If you disagree explain why and show your videos or links as to why you feel you're more informed than many other fellow Americans. Otherwise your freedom of speech resembles bullying or at the very least condescending anger problems. If you want to disagree do it on the level of the person you disagree with, don't try to shut them down.
you would have never rebelled against the king no matter how much he raped you and your family as long as he maintained his definition of order and he had his court rule that it was permissible for him to carry on in that manner
"
Perhaps berate was too harsh a word. But you did tell him to be quiet and inferred he wasn't informed although he tried to back his arguments with videos. At any rate I like diversity of thought and I like it when people provide videos to helps up contemplate info that is not in the mainstream, that is why I love youtube and many of it's users. Sorry if I offended you, I was more interested in defending the other poster(s) and videos. Edlogic and Bigbob, let freedom ring!
I suggested perhaps he should remain silent on the subject of Constitutional law since he was completely factually wrong about what he had said. Which was the legality of the search, and whether it violated a the Fourth Amendment's protections about unreasonable search and seizure, and provided the evidence thereof. I didn't say I liked that it was that way or that I think it is okay that it is that way. I was simply correcting a factual error from somebody making insulting and inflammatory comments and all I've gotten in turn is berated, insulted and had a significant amount of VERY insulting assumptions made about me.![]()
That was uncalled for.![]()
Maybe if you would have started off with some tact yourself....just sayin'
it always leads to them taking your kids and doing you know what
Nothing anyone has said on here has been remotely tactful. How are those of us in the criminal justice field supposed to feel about the cop bashing that goes on around here huh? Anybody ever think of that?? Is that tactful, people spouting hateful slurs and other crap at us? I came here for information on the e-cig because I don't want to go back to smoking and nothing else has worked, and instead I have to wade through posts littered with insults.
Perhaps until you have an inkling of education about the Constitution, the law, and court decisions regarding this matter you should keep silent.
