yup, this isnt good at all, they seem to be attacking the device itself as a nicotine delivery system and that needs to be tested, so that includes the battery since that powers the atomizer, cartomizers will be scrutinized the most since thet all have filler besides the e2 which can be ripped apart by the fda if they choose to.
they are also going after the small vendors with this and juice makers. so there is nothing left.

if they put a freeze on juice then what, we will be forced to make our own and selling it online could be a financial risk.

much better article thanks but this is what scares me, who is going to be the faces for the ecig industry and what do they have to battle the fda, All this is doing is baiting these companies in, The fda will look into it all and find whatever they need to knock it down. my opinion of course and im being a worry wart as well.

It could work in the favor of ecigs companies, if the fda isnt in the pockets of big pharma and big tobacco then there is chance, i mean they approved chantax to quit smoking and that has the worst side effects known to man, people kill themselves, have violent nightmares and massive depression.

If nicorette gums and patches can get approved then there is a chance but i doubt it

Lovely. So the rest of the world can enjoy the benefits of e-cigarettes, but the good ole' USA has to wait for an informal government agency to figure out how they're going to tax it.

We have the same problem in france with nicotine on juice but not with the e-cigarette device ! They begin to analyse the juice for protect the citizens and control it by the healt company !

It's a world probleme not only usa ;o) It maybe a good thing because nobody know today if the pg, vg,... are dangerous for healt in a long time of use !
We need this test !

But i don't think it's a good thing to control it by the healt company for make money on the citizens ( !

All I can say is, nothing federal or government in this country isn't controlled by dollars. Whether it be big tobacco or oil or whatever else, it's money that makes this country run these days....run straight into the ground. What happened to freedom? Tobacco is proven harmful and yet all they can do is tax it heavily, but something unproven risks getting a ban or freeze or worse, medical regulation? Makes perfect sense. All the while tobacco companies still put more and more chemicals in their cigarettes and make massive amounts of money.

ok, fellows, i'm going to need help. on banjo's advice i used some filler material to push into the slots of my ceramic 401 carto. i used what a supplier once sent me to modify carts. i don't think i have ptb, just regular lipton teabags. it is not all that easy to get the filler into that little carto and even though it vaped just fine and no leakage, the vapor seemed to have changed, harsher somehow and it irritated my throat right away. i pulled the filler out again and found a burn spot on the material.
so now i'm trying to pull the wick out from besides the cup and that is not going well. when i finally find a strand it looks awful dark. hence my 2 questions, will any tea bag do or what do you call pyramid tea bags? also, have you checked for burning?

turbo, i guess we sure think alike, lol

I went to my grocery store to pick up some PTB and couldn't find anything but regular Lipton tea boxes. Do these come in a box saying 'Pyramid tea bags' or are all Lipton bags this kind?

I never used it. I was a blue foam guy in the old cart days.

Here is a link showing what the boxes look like for Lipton Pyramid Tea.

All the best.

Not all grocery stores carry the Pyramid Teas. Harris Teeter here doesn't have it, but Food Lion and Walmart do. The box is really small... about the size of a box of 3 1/2" floppies (IF you remember floppies...lol)

And yes, there's a big difference between regular tea bag material and the pyramid stuff.

Bad, the link above the picture is for topsealing, there you can find rope, yarn, tape, cloth, and they have fiberglass, silica, and lots of things.

Wicking is also discussed in one of ecf's member Vaporer threads here:
