..but then your killing the idea of the e2, its disposable, ...

It's the idea, but it's not the goal.
I'm not killing the goal, I'm helping let everyone know what the factory needs to meet the goals with, even the vaper's goals.

It also helpswith the course of perfecting the e2. One immediate goal people want is to NOT vape the black carbonaceous tarry-gunk, and if you simply unscre the top of the carto at the cup, you can pull out the damaged wick, thread a new piece through the coil, screw it back on, and immediately be back and ready to vape another day!

(This no cotton motto means nothing with a wad of charcoal putty on the coil wick.)

and i would totaly agree if we where dealing with a company that gets the product working spot on and obviously that isnt the case, so since we are basicaly beta testing and finding issues then getting them fixed, i doubt you would get much better results with your idea, not that its not a good idea but that the end result form them wouldnt be perfect and we would be back at the same circle.

It most likely would be better to concentrate on the e2, they watch these threads so they are probably taking in way to much and i hope they arent applying everything they hear to the e2 just because something is suggested.

confusing them isnt wise. lets get them to get the e2 fully functional, then progress to other stuff.

I have no problem defending the e2 cartomizer as a product itsef. it works, has some issues that need to be ironed out but when it works it works and there is no denying it anymore, more vapor, less drag time needed, more TH, better taste., its 2 months later and the verdict is in but at the same time I have to be honest . we are at revision 3 with R4 on the way. So i really think its wiser to get them to fix one thing first.

Ummm, if these people are mindless droids with no engineering or manufacturing skills and simply try to implement every wild idea that comes off an internet forum there isn't any hope...

Touché...

It's not that they don't have Engineering or Manufacturing skills. They do. It's that they don't do testing on their products to see if it they work. They just make changes that look good on paper and then sell the product.

We do the testing and then report back to them.

It's a neat way to make a buck without having to slow manufacturing and sales by doing in house testing. It only works thou if you don't have a return policy which it appears on cartos that they don't.

______

Hey speaking of seals leaking. I know everyone is all excited about mod-ing their cartos with PTB so they don't leak.

Has anyone tried soaking the silicone seals on 4:1 ratio of VG:H2O for 24 hours and then using them Without PTB to see if they still leak?

Wouldn't it be nice to not have to stuff PTB into a carto?

never mind the cafeteria, just wait and see what happens if you need to get to the ecf washroom in a hurry!

btw will try and stuff a little something in the 401 slots to prevent leakage even though mine seems to come from the battery end

Been there, done that. The first time I had to use the ECF washroom I had to go really bad, and when I finally found it the sign on the door said: "Washroom is busy right now, please try again later". :p

If your 401 cartos are leaking from the battery end it's a good bet the leak is starting at the slots in the cup (then going down the air tube). If you pack the PTB in there like has been discussed it should not only stop the leak, it should reward you with enough vapor to choke the proverbial horse. :)

btw once you pack the PTB in beside the slots, leave the filler ring out. Just place the flat side of the middle ring up against the top of the cup.

That might work ok, but I don't mind the extra couple of minutes it takes to set up a carto, and I like the extra wickage. (Is "wickage" even a word? Oh well, it should be....)

You are trying to let everyone know what your goals are. The factory does not want to meet your goals. Most people do not want to rebuild a cartomizer. They just want to buy something cheap, simple and easy to use. The factory is trying to meet the goals for these people.

The black carbonaceous tarry-gunk that you are talking about is there after a few vapes. It continues to build up after that, so at what point would you want to replace a perfectly good coil and wick with a new one? When it is 1/4 of a wad of charcoal putty? When it is 1/2 of a wad of charcoal putty?

Believe it or not, there are a few of us who would rather burn a wad of charcoal putty off instead of buying a new coil and wick to get rid of it.

And it works like magic.

2nd UPDATE: FDA Warns Five E-Cigarette Makers, Says Products Need FDA Approval - WSJ.com

Not only are they trageting manufactueres but vendors and juicemakers as well, johnson creek is in a creek load of trouble.

this is real bad bad news, buy all your juice now, stock up on cartomizers and batteries cause they gonna shut it down.

they have to go through clynical trial, so old cartomizers will fail, cartirdges with filler will fail. juice that isnt made in a factory will fail.
and so on and so on.
