They sent the package but failed to use the zip code. The post office tried to deliver it in New York I live in Jacksonville Florida. I contacted the post office and they said the seller has to fix the address, that I cannot change anything reference the delivery without the sellers contacting them. When I told the seller they wrote that they sent it and they had done their part. I had no choice but to dispute the payment.

Should I try with someone else? I really want to try the new cartomizer and play with the mods.

I am really bummed:(

The reason I ask is that the 1st 510 XL R3V2 seems to have a Very mellow, cool hit. Very nice. I thought that maybe it was a 3 ohm version?.

zoiDman,

I know others have reported them running hot but the two I have 510 (non-XL) R2V1 are the coolest running cartos I have. I have the original one still running well on a Wetbox and another on a mega batt. The one on the Wetbox meters in at 2.6, the other 2.5.

Most of the 510 XL cartos I have tried have run hot also. Too hot for most of my juices. That is why I asked about the ohms on the ones Bad sent me.

If the R4 hit and are usable I was thinking that maybe the 3.0-3.2 ohm would be a better choice than the the lower ohm for my eGo.

I'll give up some vapor as long as it doesn't tatse burnt. They should not gunk up as fast also.

If you want to see something really old, that will be me in some photos that were recently taken by one of my radio collector friends. I built a lot of this stuff from scratch, using authentic parts from the time period. However, some are factory built radios that have been restored.

Damn nice collection there. I still remember when dad bought our first "stereo" phono/radio piece of furniture. I still have it, and it still works. :)

Test began with this KR8 yesterday. All testing at this time is being done in its original configuration, just like a first time user would do who has never read anything on this forum. The test on this XL will continue without modification until the performance drops off enough to justify a dry burn.

This one has a black wrapper and the resistance measures on the low side of 2.8Ω. Preliminary testing was performed with the recommended KR8 battery, but testing is also being done at the lower voltage of 510 type batteries.

It was filled as per instructions and then the wick was allowed to soak a few minutes before use. No cleaning and no dry burn was none prior to filling. The taste was not expected to be good and it wasn't. It was about as nasty as a new atty on the first vape. After about 10 minutes, the taste of my juice began coming through. The taste was not up to par, but I could live with it until it was ready for a refill.

While the reservoir was near full, tests were made with it upright, horizontal and with the mouthpiece straight down. No leaks. No slurpee. However, I do not hear the usual crackle that indicates the performance of an outstanding E2.

All wick testing was done with the battery pointed down. It wicks fairly well when abused, but I have tested some that did better. For this test I vaped it almost dry with constant puffs about every 5 seconds. This was not easy on me or the E2. When it got too hot, I had to let it cool down before continuing. It would have been blistering hot without the black wrapper. I did not inhale these puffs, but I absorbed more than enough nicotine throughout this fiasco.

During this abuse, the taste became less and the vape became hotter. This probably began at about a half reservoir level and it got worse to the bitter end. Obviously, this would have been less pronounced if the wick would have been supplying more juice. A refill required a little less juice than normal, indicating that the wicks are not picking up from the bottom.

My juice tastes better with a new tank of juice. It's almost, but not quite up to par. All testing is still with the battery pointed downward. Before long, the taste begins to fade and a slight dry taste is noted. A 510 battery is then used instead of the KR8, and the taste returns. This works okay for a while and then the same thing happens. Now the only way it vapes well is with the battery horizontal or pointed slightly up. When vaped in this position, the reservoir empties and requires the usual amount to fill.

My favorite juice is good on the third fill up. Had I been testing with my alternate juice, it would have probably been okay on the second filling. Although my favorite juice tastes well enough now on the KR8 battery, the taste is even better on a 510 battery.

The testing at this point is being done in a more sane like manner. The performance under normal use is satisfactory, but nothing spectacular when compared with some E2's. At times, I get the feeling that it does not wick well enough on the KR8 battery, but this may be because my juice does not taste as good on it. The fact that it needs to be in a horizontal position for better reliability does not speak well for it. Overall, it is still better than my experiences with older type cartomizers, so I don't expect the remainder of tests on this one to be undesirable.

I remember the first time I heard a stereo broadcast. It was a simulcast with one channel on FM radio and the other channel on AM radio.

stop torturing yourself, throw some ptb into that badboy and vape like a normal human being br, for the love of god. lol

im running a 2.8 808 on a vgo 3.7, cleaned and using ptb with cut wicks and dam, this thing is one of my all time fav's. while using them with the orginal wick is ok and works if i use it like a analog perfectly i still prefer using the wickless ptb system and then i can vape it in any position and i dont lose flavor or get any dry spots.

they have not leaked yet so i really dont have much to complain.

I did have a odd 2.9 ohm 808, at lower voltage it didnt taste as good as it did at a higher voltage.
either way i now know which ohm work best for which mod or battery I have.

I hope you didnt fall asleep BR, trying to plan my forum time around your naps is killing me.

by they way i have a crazy story about something similar to those radios in your pics. ill tell ya later

Hey bad... question for ya (and anybody else that wants to chime in),

I'm still using my older "plastic" 510's (I have a TON of them). Last night I opened a pack and got whacked in the face with the worst glue odor I've ever smelled. On closer inspection most of the smell was trapped in the mouthpieces, which went away completely after I aired them out overnight. I pulled a few small slivers of glue off the outside of the cups and rinsed and dry burned the cartos twice until the odor went away. I just filled them with juice and put them back together and "so far" I can't taste anything but juice... no glue.

Was that pretty much your experience with them or did you just throw yours away?

I guess you're not a member of the Tea Bag Party then? :p

Take back the vapor!

I'm still trying to become a member. I have an XL that never was a very good one. Thought the ptb would make it better yesterday morning. I just then tried it again. It's still not a very good one.

Not w/ these 'banjo' but I have had this problem w/ filler cartos. I found the smell in those came from the carto condoms and went away after airing/cleaning.

Well these definitely had chunks of glue in them and smelled of it until I dry burned the "pith" out of them. The filler rings were tough coming out and I think that's where the glue was. My guess is that even if I didn't get all the glue out they will never get as hot under use as they did when I was baking them.
