Ok I pulled out two of the samples Bad sent me (BTW, I feel I don't say this enough, THANK YOU for everything Bad). I used one to sample some new flavor (LorAnns Naturals Pomegranate) and one with my tried and true Black Cherry. The tried and true is going strong. I didn't rinse or dry burn prior to use, just filled and went. My black cherry mix is all VG, 8mg base with 10% distilled water and 25% flavor. Anyone who mixes VG knows you have to use water or it's like pouring syrup into your cartos and won't wick. The pomegranate didn't work out so well. Using the same default mix the pomegranate wasn't very flavorful, but that is my fault. The new Naturals line of LorAnns will take some time to figure out where the best mix is. I'll probably need some sweetner to really bring it out. Anyway, so far so good with the cartos. The don't seem to dry out, but not quite as strong as with a PTB mod of course. As an out of the box product, I think it's very very close.

Yesterday I began testing a Revision 3.5? KR808 XL - Post #2687. That test is now ended prematurely. It was not wicking as well as it should, but I thought it would get by in its original configuration long enough to require a dry burn. Instead, it began to wick even less last night and I quit using it. This morning I tried it and it was a slurpee. Not much of a slurpee, but enough for me to take back my statement that it does not leak. So, I removed the filler ring and it is no longer in its original configuration.

I tried to pull the wick out for inspection, but only the single piece on one side came out, and just the lower part of the bow on the other side came out. There is no telling what all is tangled up down in there. So Bad, don't tell me to cut the wick according to your mod, cause I can't get that part of it out. Instead, I used a br PTB wick which is easier to make and install. It now works somewhat better, but this thing is not what I call an E2.

I call this thing a factory lemon. It always has been and always will be a factory lemon. If I can't vape a device that delivers the satisfaction I usually get from my juice, then that device goes in the trash bin.

I've used up my first blister pack of 510 R3's. Well, I ended up giving away 3 of them - one to a guy who had an atty die and no backups - one to a guy who got Boge 510s that taste like plastic (what's up with that?) - and one to a buddy to see if he likes 'em.

I was pretty happy with how they were out of the box -ish. I did take out the mouthpiece and replace with a drip tip for better air flow. But I did feel like the flavors were muted. Since there was plenty of vapor I figured they were wicking OK. I was wrong.

I tried badkolo's PTB mod with the cut wicks (real easy to do actually)....and the difference is night and day. I can really taste my juice again. Thank you Bad!!!

I don't mind 5 minutes worth of work to get these things to rock, and hopefully last 3 or more times as long as the old style cartos. Stoked.

You wouldn't want this one even if you could put your fix on it. I don't like it even when the wick is wet.

If you're nice about it, I'll tell you a different way to make a PTB wick that you may want to try.

As long as it doesn't involve walking to school uphill in the snow (both ways), I'm all ears. :)

spill the beans mister, please. lol
Contrary to what some people believe, the seam in the teabag is not glue. If it was, tea sippers all over the world would be screaming bloody murder. Instead, it is folded together and crimped. It is 6 layers and about the same width as a wick. So, just cut the seam out and then cut it to the right length. It should have about the right thickness to center the cup. Also it is stiff enough to go down inside a bit easier. I just slid it down along side of the wick, then moved the end over to make contact with it.

My seams don't look anywhere near 6 layers thick. 2 maybe...

Hmm... that tea bag string looks a lot like a wick, too. Heck, maybe we can use everything but the tag.
