quick1 what if every now and then a brand new carto shows evidence of being used, what should people do with those, or the ones that seem hairsprayed

i did get one that tasted like mistress or someone said, like hairspray or something

Was that a rhetorical question?

You're all over the map. When you were pushing for a group buy you were hammering on how inexpensive these were and how people could toss them if they didn't like them or still come out ahead if a bunch leaked or whatever. Then you didn't seem to think much of using local suppliers because you were just "hiring someone to order for you".

What would I do? I'd call up my trusted local supplier that I bought them from and buy lots of stuff from and say "you know, a few of these just didn't meet my expectations". In the past the response has been "I think some of them might be like that and if I send you replacements there's a chance they might be the same. How about if I send you something different, anything else you want instead for replacements?" and I had the kind I was using before about 3 days later. No problems, no hassle, no charge. Of course I pay a bit more for my stuff than people do ordering direct from China. Might not be for you. For you, I'd recommend just tossing them but don't forget to subtract that from the great cost per unit you got. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with going that route but people tend to overlook that part when just calculating the price per unit off the website. ...and then there is the cost of your time which varies a lot for different people. Stuff arrives at my door but I don't have a post office in my garage.

Isn't there a way to seal off and separate the hot glue or green liquid metal or whatever putty they keep putting at the bottom from the reservoir by using a silicone leakprook baffle?

The cartos would need to be 5 to 10mm longer, but wouldn't it work that way?

______________
well surprise me sometime soon, quick1, if you're able to...
to the bomk, no supplier guarantees cartos from china (i would think especially the ce2)

well heres the thing, at this point vendors are selling these, so thats that, they chose to sell them and we all know they know whats going on as well.

Its been pretty clear with these 2 huge threads and all the people that have read whats going on and they still chose to buy them, many people here in this thread as well knew the chances of getting mixed revisions was possible.

now that doesnt excuse the company for doing so and the only way we are going to get steady relaible products from them is if the e2 becomes final and then all they produce is the ONE final version and to be honest I doubt there will be anymore revisions after the R4.
the leaks have been fixed, i dont know how it vapes or wicks since i havent used it but.... the new fiber does stop the leak, so they did what we wanted and i think thats that in the revision department.
now the only issue is that they make these new ones all the same and that they stop shipping out crap with glue in them to people hen it says on there site they have no glue.

There was no need for the glue at the bottm, there is no leaks at the bottom base of the e2.

Bad have you tried ptb all around the cup? I may try that now.

I've tried it. Works pretty well but it took me a while to get the thickness right. Folding a strip of ptb to form a 4-ply thickness ended up being my choice. The hardest part was getting the ptb neatly inserted inside the carto and around the cup without getting it all bunched up.

yes and it works, like ^ said you need to get the fold count right, tucking it in has been easy for me but thats becuase of all the practice i have had.
i still prefer cutting the wicks off and using my ptb tail method, it wicks the best and becomes easier to clean when it all gunked up with less dry burn time.

and if this new filler material they are using acts and works like ptb and keeps the taste the same then i see no issue with it the more i think about it.

our(my) issue with filler was that it was touching the heating element(coil) in the old cartomizers.

this isnt the case as we see with the ptb, so if the filler brings more juice to the coil like the ptb does and if its covers the slits like the ptb and does what its suppose to then im cool with that, im not cool with glue, im not cool with receiving wrong orders.

I have no idea if it will do any good but I plan on contacting eliquid.cn, royalsmokers and microcig. I'm going to let them know that I was planning another large order but am holding off indefinitely until the problems with product reported on ECF are straightened out and the ECF members who received defective product receive replacements.

If enough of us do that (hopefully some of the vendors here will join in) maybe we'll see some improvement in their customer service and quality control.

FYI: support@royalsmokers.com doesn't appear to be working. My e-mail bounced back with a permanent failure.

That might be the only way to get some of these return issues resolved.

For me, having recieved over 1/3 of my carto with smashed threads, I am going to wait for the rev"4" to be shipped and then contact e-Liquid about a replacement.

If I get the standard answer of "you have to buy more for us to replace DOA products" I will start a new thread and post the e-Mails from e-Liquid so people can fully understand what they are up agaist CSR wise.

I think it is Very important for people to know if a company really stands behind there products or if it is just Lipstick on a Pig.

lol, good luck with that. I'll be surprised if they fire the owners, board of directors, the upper management and totally change the way the entire company (and "subidiaries") have done business forever. just sayin' :)

wait, by "large order" did you mean like up in the $10K - $20K range?

but it's a good thought, to try to help ensure that fello ecf members get the puttyless cartos they were supposed to get

it's nice for all people and friends all over the world to get the right product, but this being ECF, there is certainly a need for ECF posters to get the proper product

they need official representation on ecf, just like the other ecig sellers from china

They sent me 1 sample of the Turbo XL v4 today. So I am not going to tear it apart, just started using it and other than having been prefilled with that nasty MB it works great.

It may be the official r4, being that 'bad' said select people are trying them out. I'll look for your update.

the sleeve on the cup is in that pic, if oyu mean the filler sleeve, that is placed in after its built i guess, either way the filler is removeable, its there to act like the ptb but you dont have to use it.

Ummm, what does "they need official representation on ecf" mean?

1) They need to register as an ECF supplier? It's free, but I think you have to be approved...

2) They need members to promote them? They got plenty of that already.
