Ok, finally home..whew...what a day. I got the package 'bad' sent, thanks bro, your generosity is contagious as I gave a couple to my friend to try.

My Wetbox switch is dead again so I went to his house to dry burn the primer off. There wasn't much on them but did it anyhow. I filled one for his wife w/ her favorite juice. I decided to do theirs by removing the filler ring and dripping in. When I put the filler ring back I put it in upside down. They didn't want to use a syringe. It worked great but started to leak, both out the end and in the mouthpiece. So I put the filler ring back in the right way and it seemed to stop leaking. I knew from prior post it was best to do this but had to hit the brick wall myself ;)

My friend wanted to put some of his favorite juice in one so I gave him another one. He did the drop refill method and this time put the filler ring in as intended. No leaking, no wicking problems and great flavor. When I left he was still using it (about 3hrs total and going). I tried it myself and it had the same clear flavor of the juice my revision 2 had. I asked him to keep me updated on the two they're using.

I finally got home and had time to fill mine. I decided to use a syringe and fill my remaining two. I used a 20 gauge needle and it fit perfectly. When a little juice came out the other hole I stopped. It took just under 2ml. I'm letting them sit a while to wick up an extra juice.

I'll be sure to update my experiences and my friends as we break them in. Thanks again 'bad', this came at a great time. I about had it w/ filler cartos. After trying the revision 2's I couldn't go back, they all tasted weird.

im not seeing this bad thread issue, outof all the ones i tested i think one had bad thread and like 3 didnt work on all my stuff, everything else is working fine in that department for me, much better then older revisions.
A few minutes age, I just opened up a new 510 for my wife so she could try a new flavor. The threads on it were bopped on one side and are egg shaped too much to screw all the way on.

I haven't run into one of those yet, but with the number I have here I'm bound to hit one sooner or later.

Not sure if the batt question was directed at me...

My PT is genuine Joye. Not sure about the battt, but I believe it is.

My adapter works with all 3 of my Kr8 batts, and every 510 atty or carto I have tried so far... except the CE2's.

I'm starting to wonder if they have the one guy in China actually using these things (the one that did the video), while everyone else at the factory is smoking Marlboros...

My bad Banjo, let me be clear. I have one pack of regular sized 510 ceramics and 1 pack of XL 510 ceramics.
The first regular ceramic was very bad at wicking until the first refill, then great, then I stupidly broke it while not paying attention taking the inner ring out and knocked the cup clean off.
Second regular 510 carto....ahem....burnt it out dry burning at 6v. My bad!
Third carto, going strong still.
510 XL #1....bad wicking, opened the second 510 XL, bad wicking too. Boo...I made a new bottle of juice with stuff all VG and still bad. No rings, with one ring, one ring upside down, 2 holed ring back in original position, filling with a syringe before I pulled out the two-holed ring. Makes no difference, it's driving me insane. I just want it to wick!!!!!!!!!

I tried a couple of Ms.T's today which are more VG than PG and they didn't seem to wick as well as my 20 or 30 percent VG mixes, maybe juice is just too thick?

Yes, ok, that can be considered customer service.
I also think that if I pay a re-seller for customer service, that they should also check the batteries, switches, etc. 'before' they ship them to me, not after. :)

I think you'll find that resellers just eat the cost of the bad ones, and returns, and seized shipments, and screwed up bulk orders. The ones that do take returns, offer doa guarantees, etc. usually charge just a little more for their stuff. Those would be the ones that actually don't hassle you about returns or make the warranties pretty much useless by having you ship stuff back, or claim user error, or argue about doa's. They're looking for longer term customer loyalty. As always, you generally get what you pay for. That sort of service isn't practical with the overseas shipping costs so you'd only get that locally.

The resellers can't check everything for a couple of reasons:
1) They're sealed in plastic from the manufacturer.
2) You wouldn't pay what it would cost for them to individually test items costing less than $5 or $10.

I'm getting tired of using messy syringes, reseating the tricky inner cap, and handling ejuice-ridden rings. There must be an easy way to refill these things quickly and efficiently straight from the bottle.

I wander if RS have considered punching a small hole into the side of the metalic casing (a hole just big enough to insert the included plastic syringe tip) and using a small silicone plug to reseal the hole, or use a rubber grommet that bends back into shape once the syringe tip is removed. The problem is that the included syringe tip doesn't fit your standard ejuice bottle, so maybe an adapter could be used.

Perhaps they considered it but thought it will be too difficult or time consuming drilling a hole in every carto during manufacturing. Either way, I may experiment with this myself and see what I can come up with.

OK, really interested in trying some of these out but I have a couple of questions. Seems like all the recent discussion of issues revolve around the XL's. How are the regular CE2's at the moment? I'd be using them on a KR808 and don't mind refilling with a 20 gauge needle. I don't want to mess around with any other refill method as that seems to be causing most of the issues? Is there still a primer issue on the regulars where they have to be cleaned? If they do have to be cleaned do I have to disassemble them and risk leaking? K24A3 piqued my interest in another thread and I stumbled upon this behemoth discussion but have not had a chance to go through it all yet. Sorry if I am asking redundant questions here, but the search function is kaput and with there being 143 pages on this I thought I would just ask.

chrizzle - I know I may have a minority opinion here... but save your money.

I have had major leaking problems. I have had issues with the juice not being able to pass through the plastic syringe. I have had issues with threading. One of mine will not fire on anything. It doesn't work with my batts, it doesn't work with my PT, it doesn't work with an adapter. Nothing.

And the one that does work (only on my PT - it won't work with my batts or adapter) tastes like plastic and gives crummy vapor. I understand this has been fixed, but honestly...

This product is not ready for use by anyone who doesn't want to have to basically redesign it. I am technically capable of doing that... but I have a bunch of Kr8 and 510 cartos that work like they're supposed to.

K24A3 - Try the new Joye 510 cartomizers. They have to be filled with a syringe, but you just stick it right through the mouthpiece hole. It's easy. And they actually WORK. I have tried them, and they are consistent with no quality control issues I have run into as of yet.

Sigh....R4 it is. Thanks K2. Then I guess it will be R5, then R6, etc. No worries. I'm excited they are improving these with feedback from you all to ensure a proper experience. Even though I've been at it for a very short time, I can already see the limitations of current cartos. I love the user friendliness of them, but the inconsistent taste, performance, longevity of the standard cartos are starting to get to me. How about wicking? Can these things keep up with heavy use or will I have to set it down for a bit to get a proper hit?

MistressNomad, do those 510 carto's contain filler material? I use KR808D-1 equipment so they wouldn't fit anyway and I'd rather not use an Adapter.

Don't get me wrong, I really like these CE2 carto's and don't mind fiddling with them, I'm just thinking of ways they can be improved so they are hassle free for everyone.

I haven't opened them up, but based on the diagram I saw of them, no. They also hit a lot like an atty. It appears to be basically a tank with an atty under it. You can get them at CigNot. They're made by Joye, so they're only for the 510.

Most of my stuff is Kr8, too. But I do have a 510 PT, one 510 batt, and Kr8-510 adapter. I may get some. I don't mind the extra length of an adapter. (The ones I used were a friend's - he let me vape on them for a while.)

They work fine in their current form if you don't mind getting your hands dirty and spending a bit of time preparing them. The wicking works very well for me so there is no problem chain vaping them.

Here's my procedure:

1) Remove carto from packaging
2) Remove all three caps/rings
3) Soak in hot water for 10 minutes
4) Rinse with warm water and blow/flick out the excess water
5) Dry the connector with a tissue
6) Grab your juice bottle and fill directly into the carto on an angle (avoid the cup)
7) Fill it up to just below the ceramic cup so they don't leak
8) Reinsert the inner cap (this can be a pain to do and can take a couple of minutes)
9) Reinsert the middle ring (you dont really need to) and the mouth cap
10) Happy vaping

When it comes time to refill them, sometimes I remove the inner cap again and fill straight from the bottle (The inner cap usually goes in much easier this time), and sometimes I use a syringe if I could be bothered messing around with them.

Interesting, I may have a look. I'm pretty sure they have filler material in the reservoir from the pics I saw (if they were the same ones).

Ah, do they? Don't really taste like it.

Well, the burning thing is the main issue. It's just getting the atty away from the filler. So if they do have filler... they appear to have done that well. I liked them.
